  1. Wyrd are great at doing this in a way that doesn't make you feel like your wallet is bleeding out. As someone in my gaming group said last night; first it was the Viks, then Levi, then everything else in the game

  3. When I post a photo of my miniatures, I personally expect constructive criticism. I'm an alright painter; not amazing and not bad, but improving is a good thing and I want to be able to better myself. I find that posting photos and only wanting positive feedback is little more than requesting an ego massage, and that's not the purpose of showing off artwork in my opinion. There's nothing wrong with showing off some seriously well-painted models, but showing them off while seeking an echo-chamber of yes-men is just plain silly. Of course you can't take it too far with critique and slam the paintjob unless they specifically ask for that level of analysis, but getting angry over someone suggesting a more subtle highlight or mentioning that the pupils are in an awkward place relative to the miniature's pose is just childish.
  4. If you're using Guild Lawyers, you should pair them with Death Marshalls. Pine-boxing that WP5 Lilith with a flip on the Marshall should keep her out of action for quite a long time

Vasilisa shouldn't even be that dependent on puppets if you're using her as an Obey caster; Twist is a tactical action so she can target herself so long as she isn't leading the crew (unless there's some specific restriction in place that I don't know about). Keep in mind there's a very big difference between 'target friendly ____' and 'target other friendly ____' in relation to tactical actions; see Metal Gamin that can Protection from Metal themselves indefinitely, since they are always within 3" of a friendly Metal Gamin (namely itself). I could see her being very useful in a Pandora crew by being able to Obey enemies into a cluster of Sorrows or other situations they really don't want to be in. Note that I don't play Neverborn (yet!) so I could be way off the mark
  6. I was on the fence for so long as to which way I wanted to go with Lucius, but Collodi's box is really tempting me towards Neverborn. Austringers also being released doesn't help my predicament e: It seems that I'm the only one that prefers the metal Mech Rider to the plastic one. I might be biased because I already have her though!

  8. I never used to value Vapormancy until I started playing against crews with lots of Incorporeal models (Dreamer in particular), where the upgrade really started to make it's stones' worth. Minimum 2 damage is really bad when it's being halved, and Vapormancy gives you a Ca (with to make it even more useful!) to side-step the issue.

  10. Too many good elite models, too. It's always so tempting to have Joss, Howard and Mech Rider but that doesn't leave you much, even at 50ss.
  11. Not a bad place to put it in a Ramos crew, either. Frees up Joss to take something else; since I normally run him with BET and Open Current, being able to pass BET onto someone else so Joss can grab Imbued Energies is mighty tempting. I just need to get my hands on a Johan card and get him painted!
  12. Awesome, thanks for the ideas! I'll have to get some paint on the models first and maybe get a few games in. The hard part will be finding The Guild's Judgement, I haven't seen one in stock since I started playing.

Hey Guildies, Arcanist spy totally new and not-suspicious player here Looking for some hints and list-building considerations for Guild-side Lucius since it seems a bit more interesting than taking him as a Neverborn master. What models are good with him, how should I look at expanding past the crew box and is roping in a couple of Mimics from NB worthwhile?

  15. Arcanists, and hopefully she comes out soon! I'm not sure which of the two I like the most, so I'll probably end up buying both :p
  16. Mirroring what everyone else says, it's not very often I even make one swarm, let alone two. I tend to leave them as single spiders for the mobility and activation control. For now a single swarm is best, but play a few games and see how you go since everyone has their own playstyles; you might like using more swarms over single bases. You can always buy more later on
  17. Anything non-beast for Arcanists would be nice, since I don't play Marcus. We haven't had a new release in quite a few months so hopefully that heralds something juicy soon! My own musing is that perhaps Colette was meant to be released recently but Wyrd decided to change the sculpts based on forum feedback (but I could be/probably am entirely wrong. Just wishful thinking )

Firstly, two big pointers: -Paralyze is tricky to pull off, since it's only a 6" range and you have to be much more delicate with your positioning to fire it off (since you can't Ice Mirror through engaged models). I generally only use it opportunistically on models that will take too much AP to kill off, to buy myself another turn before I have to deal with them. -Always keep an Ice Gamin near Raspy for the (0) action to increase damage of attack actions by 1, this makes her spells even more intimidating. I've only used the Ice Golem once, so there may be stuff I'm overlooking. Relying on Smash isn't a good idea because of how hard it is to pull off unless you have Imbued Energies, and if you're going to use it, make sure you have a 13 or RJ in-hand to cheat in to make sure it hits. You should only ever be missing if they have Df 7 or higher, which is very hard to come by unless your name is Perdita, Nothing Beast (situational) or you're are hanging out with Francisco an awful lot. With the huge damage track, you generally won't care about being at double negative damage since you're doing 9 anyway unless you Black Joker but it's still not very reliable as often multiple smaller hits will be better. If you're really attached to the Ice Golem's smash attack, Wind Gamin (currently in the wave 3 beta) give the extra bit of maneuverability to help pull it off without relying on the enemy leaving an important model within an inch of the golem for a turn.
  19. Something better than Snow in a raspy list? Heresy! I got a Raspy game in last Friday and Snowstorm was an absolute monster, I can very easily see her as an auto-include for Raspy
  20. Simple; use Nurses and keep Ramos perpetually paralyzed or unable to declare anything that isn't an Ml action. Had it happen to be before
  21. At least she lasted longer than Miss Terious. She was gone within a few hours of the sale going live.
