Just for the sake of having everything in one place, I will continue posting finished pieces here as well as in the Painting Challenge Thread. Here's my first Illuminated! Happy with skin and clothes, but the glowing eyes - not so much..

Lovely little goth family you've got going on there. I really like the vibrant green on the Sorrow. Pandora's hair looks great too!

Let's get some feedback rolling, shall we? @Cats Laughing Off to a good start! It's always nice to see Foundry models. Are you doing Mei Feng as well? The clothes are really well-shaded, particularly on Sparks. I think the skin could use a few brighter highlights! @Gloomy Those pink flames are promising to come out super awesome when they're done! And Grave Diggers are really fun sculpts, which I, not a Resurrectionist myself, never noticed before. @Ja9nge Care to share a group shot of the whole keyword once you're done? @Harlekin I love the purple skin, the TMM metal and the base ! I think a bit more and deeper shading on the wings would be nice, but could just be due to the picture being a little too bright. @Rathnard Whoa, you got serious work done!! Pretty unique color scheme on the Parker crew. Makes me think of bandits robbing a remote town in the middle of the night, with a bright full moon bathing everything in a silvery glow... Was that the intent? And your Abuela is the stuff of nightmares, maybe even more so than Pandora! 😂

Really, really cool! You've managed to capture the subtle creepyness of these sculpts perfectly!

Shenlong is supposed to be pretty good, and I guess kicking stuff to death with him would be fun...But the keyword (and I'm a sucker for staying in keyword) just strikes me as a little bland visually. Shenlong, Sensei Yu and the Aspiring Students are just bald dudes with very plain, simplistic clothing, while some of the monks (especially Low River) kinda look like they should be in Arcanists. I do, however, appreciate the dynamic poses.And Charm Warders are pretty cool. But as Shenlong is also host to a Tyrant I guess I would have hoped for some more twisted and spooky stuff within the keyword. Just something that screams a little more Malifaux. Qi & Gong is a good counter example, since they also bring mostly humans with Asian aesthetics, but also add spooky puppets like Bunraku and the glorious Hinamatsu to mix (which I ordered half a year ago and still haven't received, btw. Damn you, unspecified German retailer with your unreliable supply chain).

Hi! Is there a way to delete picture attachments apart from manually deleting them in the very thread to which they are attached? I had a thread in the Trade forums which had a few attached pictures. Now I reported the thread to get it deleted (since no none wanted to buy anyways) but the pictures still show up in my attachments and take up a few valuable percent of my attachment limit... Many thanks in advance!

Interesting concept to freshen up the tournament meta. On the other hand restrictions like this make it harder to participate for newer yet competitive players who may have just completed one or two masters plus some key versatiles and don't own an entire faction.

你们好! My resolutions for 2021 will include: - the complete Honeypot Keyword, - the complete Qi & Gong - some Ten Thunders Versatiles, like Miss Guided, Samurai, Lone Swordsmen... - And then we'll see. For this month I shall pledge at least two Illuminated, who would count for 14 Soulstones, which is more than enough to satisfy my Henchman tier. At least if I understood the rules correctly. Quick question for all you guys: How do you post pictures more efficiently? My attachments are 99% full from the pics in my own painting thread...

Let's address the 600 pound shadowy elephant in the room, honored and appreciated Thunder siblings: Not only did the posh, stuck-up members of the Explorers Society steal Youko Hamasaki's sole unique action (Backroom Dealings), not only do they fight us over the loyalty of Lucas McCabe, not only will one of them break poor comrade Mei Feng's heart ... No, they even shamelessly copied the Oyabun's esteemed Shadow Markers! So, everyone's aware that this scoundrel English Ivan and his Umbra Keyword have a thing for Shadow Markers themeselves and quite a few of them will pop up when they face off with Last Blossom. Sure, both are limited to using their own friendly Shadow Markers, but who does it better? Ivan and his keyword seem to be incredibly strong, but Misaki is said to be one of the more competitive Thunders masters. Who do you think will come out as the victor in their inevitable and monumental clash of shadows? Or who might at least have a slight edge, even if everything's possible in Malifaux? PS: Completely forgot, sorry... Happy Holidays everybody. Hope you all enjoy time with your loved ones and stay safe.

Just a quick question: Are crews that rely on or incidentally spread a lot of Distracted, like Colette or Qi & Gong basically screwed when facing Ivan?

I don't really know that much about how things play out on the table since I'm very inexperienced. From what I read in here Misaki and Yan Lo are in the upper echelons of Ten Thunder masters while Jakob, Mei and Youko are more of the bottom barrel. But what Honeypot does very well is actively discourage the enemy from using their hand cards, once they enter the 6" bubble around them. Beckoners and Gwyneth let them gain brilliance if they cheat, Lynch pings for one if they cheat, Mr Tannen forces them to discard if they want to cheat. Now, if they cheat while being 6" around Lynch, Tannen and a Beckoner (and/or Gwyneth), every enemy model that would want to cheat discards a card, takes 1 damage, gains a brilliance token, and would then either be forced to move 2 inches or take another damage. If Tannen also has Boring Conversation up, they'd also need to succeed in a WP check for every non-walk action. And getting enemy models into said bubble should be fairly easy as you have lures from the Beckoners and Obey from the Hungering Darkness... Think that's a pretty different approach to how the Last Blossom handles things. But I guess you already know about these things, probably better than I do. There's also an interesting write-up by Rygnan right beneath this very thread, where he goes through the strategies and schemes that Lynch would prefer.

You're right, sorry. Well, if you don't necessarily need too much of an East Asian vibe, you could always pay a visit to the illustrious Honeypot Casino! From what I've gathered it's a bubble control crew with some movement tricks, lures, obeys, but still a little on the slower side. Using and spreading Brilliance as a unique ressource to disadvantage your enemy and benefit your own troops is also a little different to what Youko does. From a theme perspective I find the concept of a gambler and casino proprietor using a supernatural drug to turn his employees and clients into addicted mutants pretty unique. And there's even a ghost! And you can still include excellent Asian sculpts like Samurai, Kabuki Warriors etc.

I always wondered why there are so very few Middle Eastern characters. From the top of my head I think there's only Sidir Alchibal?! East and South Asia are well off compared to Northern Africa, the Arabian peninsula, Persia ..

I can at least contribute that the boxing prevented me from upgrading my ME1 Hamelin crew to ME3. I needed Rat Kings (who had not been released yet when my old Malifaux gaming group disolved) but I couldn't quite bring myself to buy the quite expensive Brotherhood of the Rat box since I already own enough Rats and Rat Catchers. So I ended up spending even more money by starting a new faction. 😂 To the original poster: I understand that your situation is painful and I wish you all the best. But there will surely be a box with the halfbloods soon. Maybe in March.

So, finished up The Real Power of the Honeypot Casino, the Hungering Darkness! I wanted the term Darkness to be meaningful, so I went for midnight blue color scheme. Turned out a little lighter in the picture than in reality. Still I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out.

Anyways, back to topic. Why are some words and blocks of text in black? This makes it hard to read on the Dreadnought Theme. Interesting that you prefer Kitty over Gwyneth. Most people on the forum seem to favor Gwyneth. And are you planning to cover more OOK and Versatile hires than just Fuhatsu? I read about people using Tanuki (obviously), Sun Quian and Samurai with Lynch. One even suggested Bill Algren!

On Research Mission: There's some scheme marker generation in Honeypot, in the form of Kitty's Lingering Contamination. That's probably not enough for the strategy, but the statement on there not being any in-keyword marker generation is not correct.
