There has been some good discussion about summoning Pandora in this thread, which is really about something else entirely, so I thought it might be worthwhile to split off the discussion: Xaos: I've tested it yesterday, and managed to summon single Sorrow, which ain't bad, as I'd paid 2 pts and 1+0 actions for 5 pts model already where I needed him. Some more practice, and this upgrade may give more than the Box. Any idea what else she should take (any other upgrades)? I'm a Teapot!: I always play summon pandora with cry for me and depression. With good positioning and lilithu/doppel luring things you can discard a mask, summon 2 times and then drop the project emotions with the mask trigger on them. thats a good package of summoning and also doing damage. Of course, if you have the stones to spare keep the (0) for a double incite, which does 3 dmg each. It's still worth having depression on her, since it gives the newly summoned sorrows a (1)action targeting wp and that is basicly damage multiplication cause its 3 dmg each aswell. And since moodswing can controll enemy activations its easy to keep the sorrows alive so they can actually activate this ability. Also, with the pitty condition from cry for me, enemies just drop like flies and the poltergeist keeps popping out all the time. Who doesnt love his opponent on double negatives to wp when playing pandy with sorrows =) Mutter: What are good models to get conditions on the enemy to summon Sorrows off them, then? I guess Field Reporters are good, since their attacks hand out a condition on three of four triggers. Iggy is also nice, because of Incite and his two ways to hand out burning. All woes with Depression, to hand out Melancholy. Will O'The Wisp with The Whisp's Call, I guess. They are nice for the Poltergeist, anyway. Anything else would lend itself well to that kind of Pandora list? le_sphinx: Mr. Tannen. This was mentioned in recent thread "Tannen uses". Also his aura can work very well with Pandora. Other model for condition applying can be Insidious Madness with it "I can hear them". Poltergeist can give slow with his attacks or paranormal marker. Primordial Magic can give "insignificant".
  2. Yes, they do. And it's really nice, because a lot of them are either not easy to remove, or even impossible.

  4. Don't think there's really room for much else, is there? Only thing I'd consider is maybe Depression for Baby Cade, to make his attacks more tasty. *edit: And all the Woes you summon can then benefit from Melancholy, which is nice, too ...

  6. It allows Pandora to hire up to four non-NB woes (basically Field Reporters at this stage) and to summon a Poltergeist when killing somebody with Misery. Also she can summon Sorrows of people who have conditions. The list above would benefit not only from Poltergeist, but from summoning scheme runners as well.

  8. Cool idea. I think this list might actually work even better with the Woe is me upgrade - that way, you can try and get a Poltergeist and some Sorrows right there in the middle of the fun as well.
  9. Yes, but the discussion above was specifically not 'only' about master sniping. I agree that the upgrade works beautifully against masters, I just find it too resource-intensive for 'normal' use (and the predicted damage output against non-masters). But as always, ymmv ...
  10. Yeah, but surely you're not telling me that you consistently spend 3 ss every turn for that damage track?
  11. Since you always need a unless going up against a master, I'm not really convinced of the viability ...

  14. This all sounds like you let the re-activated use Vile Reclamations twice, but it's actually 'once per turn', so you'd only gain 5 extra cards, I think. Still not too shappy ... ^^ *edit: Actually, you're paying 2 SS (for From the Aether) and a 10 to get the re-activation and one card. Doesn't seem worth it. I'd just go with the +4 cards from the aboms and save the SS either for Desolate Soul or something else. Then you could even give the Desolation Engine re-activate in the first round, if the opportunity presents itself ...
  15. Congratulations and thanks for the report. I am continuously surprised that even when games seem to not go well/turn sour, you usually manage to suqeeze out a win nevertheless. Very impressive.
  16. Mindless Zombies are not so great for generating Chi, though. Wd 3 means you can't kill them in one drop like the Seishin, but it also means that if you use a Severe, you've basically 'wasted' a kill (if you drop a Severe on other models, you can then kill them afterwards with a normal hit and thus get 2 Chi).
  17. You're right, re-reading the card it's just one attack from Asura, no matter which it is. Okay, makes it definitely less troublesome ...
  18. Hands from Below is also a Ml attack. Which means you can attack once with Undead Minions, and then once with Hands from Below. With that many MZ, you can basically immobilize any model pretty quickly. I find Hands from Below actually almost more powerful, since it's range 10.
