  1. I picked 1 from each faction. Interesting that Seamus is nr 1 and both Kirai and Von Schill getting 0 votes so far. The Von Schill thing is most surprising as he was incredibly popular in 1.5.
  2. Generally you want atleast 4-5 soulstones in almost any crew, so leaving a little out to get that is fine.
  3. Fine. You pervert the game to suit your needs, so have fun having this argument every time you play Lady Justice from now on. I'm going to stop helping you, as you seem out of reach, and I don't have the temperament to stay cool. Good luck.
  4. It's very specific and worded clearly. Sh, ca and ml actions are attack actions. When you or the enemy performs such an action, the defending model either performs a df or wp action to protect itself from the attack. This doesn't need a faq or anything, as it's not an issue with the rules, but your interpretations of them, which I think is due to your misconceptions about the mechanics of actions and modifiers. You are wrong, sir.
  5. I think your problem is, that you haven't quite understood the ways duels work, and what they are classified as. When you attack something, you perform an attack action ( be it ml, sh or ca). The model being attacked performs a defense action. After the flips made and the correct modifiers have been calculated, the action is over. Then comes the damage flip, which is the result of the previous action, but is neither a duel or an action in itself. Inspiring swordplay triggers a pulse, which gives all friendly Minion models the following condition: Inspired: This model gains + to ml and sh actions. There is no room for interpretation here, as it's clear as day. Defense duels never come into play here, and only friendly minion models gain the benefit when they declare an attack action. Changing the wording or conjuring up new classifications, such as "friendly enemies" won't change this fact.
  6. McMourning can push Grimwell as well, ensuring he gets to where he needs to be.
  7. With Chiaki you also have two models who are very capable in handing out slows.
  8. Card sleeve + white board marker is the best solution by far in my experience. Just dont touch the wound area on your card. Using dice is also okay, but clutters the table a bit.
  9. I would not only take 1 upgrade on your master. Undertaker combos neatly with maniacal laugh for example. As for playing Nico, I usually summon 1 or 2 models a round if possible (cards, counters) and then hand out slow or fast, preferably to the enemy heavy hitters. Giving Mortimer 4ss worth of upgrades is also excessive. i usually take one or the other, but mostly the spleen one, as it is reliable and it can be healed up again. I can recommend flesh constructs and nurses, as they provide tarpits and buffs/debuffs for your crew. Canine remains also fuel your corpse machine and are excellent scheme runners,
  10. True. Only the attack flip of friendly models. Not damage, nor defense versus enemies.
  11. I think the intent is, that you need to channel before your every attack. It's written poorly though, and if you take it at face value, the channel does indeed cover both attacks, as the charge action doesn't end untill after both attacks have been made. I would never use it this way myself though, as I would consider it in poor form. As Dirial said, it really needs an faq, and fast. Levi is abundant and overpowered enough as it is.
  12. Toshiro and Myranda are my favorites. Toshiro is just so good - summoning, giving fast, + on attacks, I love him. Myranda is just extremely fun and versatile.
  13. I think I'll get the crew box, as he seems like an alright fellow, and it seems you always regret what you didn't get in the end Thanks for the advice.
  14. Auto takes are unavoidable, and I agree with you, not a problem really. In my experience people play many different masters, so you rarely become frustrated from seeing the same models over and over again. Rotten Belles and Austringers might be the exception here.
  15. Well that's about as divided as it gets so far
  16. Hey folks, I currently own the alternate Zoraida model and the voodoo doll and I am debating whether to invest in her plastic box to get Juju and the Silurids OR just get the Silurids box. Having zero experience with Juju, I would appreciate some input from all of you. What do you think?
  17. They are quite good against certain crews/models and in certain strats/schemes. Remember they are minions, not peons. I've had 1 of them hold 2 death marshalls and a guild guard for 2 turns. Granted the cards were with me, but for 3ss I think they're a steal. Hardy, fast, annoying and cheap. Good stuff.
  18. Hamelin having a 12 inch (in diameter) bubble as a hard counter to all melee models really baffles me. Forget about having fun with a non-ranged crew. Sybelle having an execution trigger with only 1 suit required is also pretty crazy. Summoning in general. It's just too strong compared to the ressources you put in. The Distract scheme really annoys me. It's basically a (1) Paralyze. Oiran missing one of the suits on their lure. And lastly, Hannahs bury spell. At ca 6 it's way too easy to pull of, and she's hard to take down as well. Damn, I needed to vent it seems
  19. Von Schill and Viktorias pair up really well, as they share many models. Ramos and Mei Feng is also a solid choice as they like many of the same things. Or Zoraida and Lilith.
  20. They look too neat I think. Not "dead" enough for my taste.
  21. Toshiro adds some support and some fantastic summoning to the Ten Thunders, especially the Komainu, they are really good.
  22. The balance is okay in malifaux, even though there are definate issues between some masters and models. It sounds like Leveticus is the perfect master for you, if you want powerful stuff. He's really versatile, easy to play and a bit overpowered. Check out the Outcast section on these forums for additional information. As for your supplies, buy a bunch of 30mm round bases and make scrap, corpse and scheme markers out of them. Markers is a headache, but you'll be glad to have them instead of just paper or similiar.
  23. Misaki mixes with Shen long better than Yan Lo. I would recommend buying Izamu and Toshiro though, as they are both excellent models in any crew.
  24. The Gunsmith was the target when she declared the action. The way I read it, is that the poison condition is the requirement for the Shikome to generate a charge action. After Shikome does this, then Ironsides aura kicks in, and if she failed, she would already have generated the charge, thus not needing the poison anymore to complete the charge, as the poison condition was just the prerequisite for being able to declare the action in the first place. So, she charges Ironsides, if a legal charge can be made (movement wise)
