  1. My nearest tube station even goes directly to Heathrow. Takes absolutely forever, but it does. I feel betrayed. 'Tis a good article that one. Looks like a dedicated painting space is kinda a must though...
  2. Very little painting has been happening sadly. But I got a bit done yesterday so need to take photos and post them up. That'll take another week though... I miss living in the same place as my minis! Did you have a nice holiday? Like I say I've never actually used pigments myself but they're often used for weathering and I really ought to start using them. It seems like they'd be perfect for getting that dusty appearance tying the wood in with the ground.
  3. Yep, I can see a bit of shading there. Looking forward to seeing more videos.
  4. Wow! That floor looks like either the product or the cause of someone's insanity, and the Beckoner looks awesome. Genius idea that one.
  5. Ooo, nice pastel coloured heart. I can just see Teddy sitting in a corner hugging his arm and feeling misunderstood...
  6. I love the weathered wood! It looks nicely aged. The ground looks like the right colour, but doesn't necessarily look dusty. But that might just be that I'm hankering after some pigments to use and want to see how they'd work on your stuff first... The Purifying Flame looks great now it's finished.
  7. The variety of sizes of the Renedra tombstones means you can normally find something to work with any mini. I haven't really used them for individual bases (my Nicodem Avatar uses a fair few though) but my boyfriend has without any problems.
  8. Looking good! I really like the dynamite and his teeth (not sure why, but I do).
  9. Ooo, exciting looking base! Thanks for the step by step.
  10. Good luck in the competition. He looks great - such a wonderful expression on his face.
  11. Ooo... Pretty... I'll be looking forward to the next issue of FPM even more now!
  12. Really nice. I love the red lacquered armour in Yan Lo's crew, and how vivid you've managed to make the greens in Pandora's.
  13. Wow, these look so great all together! I love your Purifying Flame.
  14. Willie looks great! I really love his base and the touch of OSL. Can't wait for Salute. My job for the day is working out a shopping list. It's not going to end well...
  15. The metals and weathering really look fantastic, and the skin manages to work really well with them. It's nice to see something painted by you again!
  16. Congratulations! Very well done.
  17. Eww, gross. Nice job!
  18. Santiago looks really great and I agree with Math - it's nice to see Nino in a non-standard leather colour (although I do prefer Santiago...). I hope you get some more gaming time in now you have a gaming table of your very own!
  19. Thanks Lussuria! I put a thin layer of greenstuff down where I wanted the rug to be, and after priming it sat there with pictures of Turkish rugs up on google painting lots of line and dots. There wasn't much more thought to it than that to be honest! Just blocking in what vague shapes I wanted (e.g. I want a border here) and then filling it in (ooh, that looks like a nice pattern to fit in the border). It's kinda a miracle it turned out looking as cohesive as it has...
  20. The marble looks really good! The Caber Thrower... not so much at the moment. You should paint him after you've finished borders for all your purple rugs. The fire looks great - I really like how it gets darker up the longer flame. I'd personally go with bleached wood and darker earth, partially as that's what I'm used to seeing on a boardwalk. If you'd rather go with the wood tone you currently have you could try a greyish/sandy colour for the dust. Whatever you choose, I'm sure it'll look fantastic and I can't wait to see it.
  21. I really like the Daydream for some reason. The muted colours really suit it.
  22. Great looking glossy blood effects. The zombie skin colour looks really good, although a bit more highlighting after the dip would make them look even better. Looking forward to your next batch of stuff!
  23. Thanks for the tip Viruk! I see what you mean.
  24. The Cerberus looks lovely with the vivid colours and the clean stripes, but the base really steals the show. Great work.
  25. The Persian rug was surprisingly quick to do. I thought it would take me absolutely ages, but I got it painted as far as the bottom photo in one afternoon and then spent another couple of hours highlighting it and neatening it up. And I spent quite a lot of time pausing and going "wow... I did that? So quickly? How is it possible!". I want to see this unfinished Trollblood Caber Thrower of yours! And thanks for the P3 link, that marble is stunning. Lots of ogling of that will happen this afternoon I think. (The flattery is also much appreciated. )
