  7. James some of my personal favorite mechanics in TTB would be Magic - magic and manifested powers are so interchangeable and mutable you can make almost anything. With GM finesse your able to come up with some crazy powers ( my personal favorite i made was a Mind control character that had some stipulations before he could cast the spell such as he has to introduce himself by full name and shake their hand.) The setting- As a long time malifaux player i love the dark gritty feel of malifaux with the steam Victorian style but with enough magic you can basically explain anything into your game. Destiny- The destiny mechanic works great and really make me think as a gm. As players make their character they flip 5 cards these give you stats and info about the character, but this also gives you their fate. As a gm you have to try and connect these fates to your story witch i find helps me make a better fuller story that my players enjoy more because it has its spot light moments for each of them.Think about your best and worst RP moments..they all have that epic spot were it was allabout you..and TTB has that built in.
  8. I agree proper scale allows for more immersion and proper scaled terrain just feels right.. But some of my favorite models are the terra set I saw on floating rocks I can see how that would be hard to justify or fit into terrain at times. It really comes down to personal preference
  9. ya scale rules wise is irrelevant. that's the way i like it. i love the fact they can make models like the wendigo i love that model and people i know love that they have no restriction other than they have to be able to measure to the base for rules purposes .
  10. personally i don't mind the scale being off a little they are rpg markers not malifaux tabletop models. before i had these i just used other malifaux models or no models at all. plus with them having so many more models is amazing..and at gencon selling one sprue for 35 dollars made me feel like i have so much more than i expected. personally i backed an rpg not the minis. P.S: im not saying anyone who is upset is wrong to feel that i just want to make it known im happy with what i received.
  11. Wow welcome fellow New Yorker!! I'm eastern New York henchman but if you ever get a chance check out vassal!
  12. the unwrapped boxes could be hand packed alot of the boxes last year were hand packed. since it was thunders they probley unwrapped it to rebox it with the m2e cards and art. and with the kickstarter going out it took time from re wrapping.
  13. Enrique gummybear beatface
  14. Yay finally get to see my death marshal ( I'm the dude who had the full sized cloth and pipe coffin
  15. I don't mind the new collette I kinds like the less of a flashy hooker look
  16. How are you handling a fate deck on roll 20? Are you just using the 52 card deck?
  17. Ya if they made and painted the Hannah's for those who bought them then they must be done. And they did have one at gen con last year
  18. I couldn't do fruit roll up book... I would be missing rules from day 1
  19. I'm a huge supporter of wyrd but if they sell at gencon before shipping out the kickstarter I will problely never back a kickstarter from them again. And I'm the guy who owns every single plastic model out. I don't mind it being late and I understand the fact there are delays, but selling at gencon should not happen before the backers product is shipped . Now I'm saying shipped not received just get it in the box and on its way before gencon and I'm fine with it lol
