Praetoriian,

Grats on the prizes. No big deal coming in last I've lost many games and had a great time doing so. You got best painted that's rad too. Your fold up boards pretty cool, though I don't know why you just didn't go 3' BY 3' or a little over for edges protection. Along with great painting you make good basing decisions. Breaking up the cork board to give the ground that uneven look is awesome. I've seen people not do that and their ground looks like dirt stairs  . Sometimes it's the little things that bring out a figures true glory or character.

Good morning Malifaux.

Well it's been a while, think I stepped out of the Breach for a little too long but now i'm back patrolong the rivers of Malifaux.

Any way, why have I been away, I had to pop back to the real world as I have now moved in to my own house with the missus, so as some of you may know hobby time has fallen big time! The last time I posted on here I had just been to my first event and claimed the wooden spoon, now on to up to date news on my hobby within Malifaux.

Firstly some replies:

zFiend: Unfortunatley the Ramos stuff is getting sold due to me been super lazy and wanting to start new crews every other week, sorry.

Valuri: Than kyou very much, that's the style I go for so happy with that. Though you will be seeing no Ramos sorry.

MunkeyKungFu: Thank you, more to come, I promise.

cdhay: Here look updated just for you ;).

Nighthater: Thank you. with the board, it's not just for Malifaux so I thought 4x3 would be best? Thank you for you comments yet again.

Right now on to what I have been up to, well firstly here is my folding board finally "done" I do need some more scenery especially for Malifaux games but it is okay for now:

Next up is my most recent work within Malifaux my newest crew that I took to an event at the start of October and well I claimed the wooden spatula again. Need to rethink my Malifaux tactics ;).

To be honest that Is all I have for you right now, I do have some individual pictures of the Yan Lo crew if your interested let me know. I'm also going to my third event in November so hopefully I can finally win a competetive game of Malifaux.

Oh and here is a sneak peek of what to expect from me in the up coming months, yet another crew I won't be able to use ;).

Praetoriian,

Now I'm totally hang up on the folding board thing.  Are you just going to play Malifaux on a 4 by 3 map all the time? That just seems like a really bad idea to me. Also why did you say you can't use your metal crew? There official Malifaux models legal for tournament play, if you get the arsenal boxes you can play them in M2E (Which I hate over 1.5).

Good Morning guys.

KOTEP: Thank you very much.

NIGHTHATER: The 4x3 board will primarily be used to play Saga and Bolt Action, but when I do get to play some Malifaux on there Ill just Mark a set 3x3 section to play on. The reason I won't be able to play the metal models is because I suck at Malifaux lol.

zFiend: Here you go....

Initiate photo spam of Yan Lo crew..... (sorry).

Good afternoon Wyrdos how the devil are you?

I have a minor project update for you guys. Let me know what you think.

First of all what has happened within the hobby for me within the past couple of weeks. Well I attended my third Malifaux tournament at the weekend and yet again I picked up the spoon, WOW I really do suck at this game., need to find a new hobby ;). I may have come last but yet again I really enjoyed myself against ll my opponents. I’ll be honest, now I have been to three events my most favorite games have been against the top players within the community, and I would like to thank them for those great games, where I learned a lot and then didn’t remember them, obviously.

Right I have decided yet again to start something completely new and very different to what I have done before. As I am signed up for no events in the future I have no pressure to finish my next project so will definitely taking a little more time with the modeling and painting. So here is where I am up to so far with my new project. Currently a pile of metal, wood and plastic but soon to be a Neverborn crew…

image_zpsf22abec4.jpg

So far I have built 6 wicked dolls, initially I was going to use the Relics range of puppets to build this crew but some people aren’t very agreeing with proxies so I decided to stick with the standard metal models for my Collodi crew. I have however done some very subtle conversions to the dolls to give them some more movement as the originals are rather static. Next up are the Marionettes. Let me know what you think so far.

I do however need all of your help, I am fully undecided on a colour scheme, I do not want to go mucky and grimy like I have with my other Malifaux models and I would like to keep them clean and bright/eye-catching which I feel my past crews don’t do. I would like to do either a quartered or chequered paint scheme on the crew but I am undecided on the colours, what do you think?

Thank you very much for reading.

Fantastic looking models; they bring out the character of their crews nicely. For the puppets, if you want bright, I'd definitely go with a half or check pattern. They look far more interesting when done rightly. I'm thinking of Bloodbowl teams that had that style and they always looked superb. Use a colour wheel to find good combos, but something like bright blue and orange can be a nice mix, as they don't detract from each other at all. Or use white, pure white, which will contrast with any other colour to brighten them up  :)

Good morning Wyrdos, how are we all, are you all ready for Christmas yet?

I myself have had quite a productive weekend which included painting my first three Wicked Dolls and putting up my Christmas tree, super excited now.

Well you guys are clearly only here for the pictures but firstly here are some replies:

Machiavelli: Thank you for your kind words. I have gone with the quartered paint scheme for the dolls, but I am starting to run out of colour combos already.

Vikuk: Yeah I agree, they look so much cooler!

Shadowdragon:Thanks for the advice, I will go do some research on this before I paint the next batch!

Any way here is what I have been up to:

And here are the first three Wicked Dolls done, sorry about the image, my camera phone seems to have washed the colours out.

What do you think so far, suitable colours for the dolls? I will also need some help with some more colour combinations as I think Iv nearly done them all? Also do you think it would look odd if I used used coloured checks on the next few would they look out of place within the crew?

Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks for reading.
