  1. Tinweasel, The Ice golem is breath taking, I am in awe at how cool it is. The ice effect around it's fist and feet is one of the coolest effects I have ever seen done. All in all totally awesome. As for the daydreams, well I'm not a fan...sorry. You tried, but translucent models just cannot hold a candle to the colors and options of shading and hightlighting in paint. When you paint your other dreamer plastics they will blow the translucent models away. I like the 1/2 and 1/2 base idea. Guess I'm not a fan of translucent models. Nighthater
  2. Antebellum, I like the vivid colors you used for the belles alot, you have given them there own unique sense of character and personality. The only reason I'm having trouble backing these is your colors don't appear to have alot of contrast. It might be the pictures, but your belles appear to have little to no highlighting or shading on them. It is something you might wanna think about in the future, or not your call... Nighthater
  3. Uruk, Ya I'm becoming a green stuff fanatic myself. I really like the base alot, but I'm torn on putting the Criid crew on them. I think a Seamus or Lucius guild guard crew would look perfect on them. The reason is I just associate them more with the streets. Just like Nico and Justice guys are usually in graveyard bases. It's what ever makes you happy in the end. Nighthater
  4. Parintachin, Wow a beastman from Descent that's pretty rad. Wish that game had better rules but F.F.G. sucks for rules. Is 1 of your Gamin missing an arm? Anyway I think your crew is amazing! I love the greens, thought green is my favorite color. The greens could use far stronger highlighting I think. Also the cats need some snow or stronger highlighting on their coats, but overall I like the look of this crew. Nighthater
  5. Laika, This model is well painted. I don't fell you used strong enough highlights, but I'm no master painter. Everything looks kinda dull, and stronger color highlights on the model and the barrel I fell would have given a lot to bring more life to the model. As I get better at painting myself, I realized stronger highlighting made the model. Hopefully some if the masters psinters on here will chime in, and guide you. Nighthater
  6. Auroraz, Very cool looking crew, though Tara is so well painted she takes the show from the others too much. I think you need to put some more work into all the other models that aren't Tara and the blue woman to bring them a little closer to how amazing Tara looks. I don't play M2E so I don't know anything about this new crew. They look interesting, what is their story? Nighthater
  7. Helldrad, Yes yes I really do like those Orian a lot. Beautiful colors and stunning designs worked well. It appears you had a great idea going into the painting of these and it paid off. Nighthater
  8. Peregrinefalcon, I only get to play with my best friend and play about 3 times every two weeks is my guess. Since I only play a modified version of 1.5, 50 S.S. is a pretty big game really. I think 50 S.S. is the new average for M2E though right? Anyway I play about 6 times a month, but since I'm moving I will get many more games in soon is my guess. As for Vassel it feels very dead and impersonal. You can't enjoy the painted models, terrain, visual aspect, ya Vassel just doesn't "do it" for me. Vassel feels really hollow when I can just jump on my computer and blow up a skyscraper in BF4 or all the other amazing games and visuals you can see during the same time you would be on your computer. Although I haven't used Vassel for quite a while now I don't know if it's gotten better. Nighthater
  9. Praetoriian, Now I'm totally hang up on the folding board thing. Are you just going to play Malifaux on a 4 by 3 map all the time? That just seems like a really bad idea to me. Also why did you say you can't use your metal crew? There official Malifaux models legal for tournament play, if you get the arsenal boxes you can play them in M2E (Which I hate over 1.5). Nighthater
  10. Walkinginblack, Ya a few people are saying ARMY PAINTER paints are good. I have had many issues with them and perhapse I got a bad box, old box or something else. TMOD, Lava beads never even heard of them, one more thing I've learned the hard way I guess. I always shake the bottles alot before use, and usually even stir them with a paperclip to get the bottem stuff mixed in. Nighthater
  11. xGIxJOKERx, Well whenever you get around to painting this rad conversion post it up will ya? What are you thinking colors and the base wise? Nighthater
  12. Dgraz's, Dude who can paints like this, the gods? Are you fricken kidding me with this amazing work? Since you need to stay grounded with people of "natural" painting skill I'm going to come after your work as often as I can. Your painting is always perfect or beyond, so I'll get petty and go after your bases. There interested to look at, but I don't think they line up with the casino theme well. They look like stone paths through a swamp. I think you should have gone with wood steps to a wooden casino or street looking stuff for the bekoners and the darkness. You also may have missed a cool chance to do a doppleganger is in the house taking the form of someone she just killed base. Like I said petty stuff to keep you grounded. Nighthater
  13. Peebs, I don't think I would go a red cape on a red uniform, it's too much red. I'm not a master painter so mull the idea over with some of the masters and see where they are at with it. Also make sure you make the bottom cloak designs really stick out. Nighthater
  14. Sarcasm, Oh I feel you bud, I type in notepad and then copy to here because I have "enjoyed" the whole slip of the keyboard one too many times. As for your post thank you that's pretty awesome. Now if that works or not with the pages I read is debatable. Like I said before I just read their stories by their pictures in Rising Powers. I'm in the middle of trying to find a new job and a move so my fluff story time is strained. Nighthater
  15. Adran, You are right C.Hoffman was smart and gifted, but his brother Ryle was just better. It says C.Hoffman lived in the shadow of his brothers greatness. I haven't read all of the Fluff books, but my above paragraph is a summary of Pages 102-103 C.Hoffman and 113 Ryle from the book Rising Powers I have sitting right next to me. I think there may be some confusion somewhere, but I'm not sure where it's coming from. Maybe were talking about stories from different editions? I'm sure these books are all 1.0 and 1.5 so I don't know if lore changed or got expanded on in M2E. I haven't even read this whole book so I don't know if there is a lot more story about the incident in the book. I don't even play M2E at all so I know almost nothing about the current lore or the new system (I'm 1 of the last 1.5 holdouts). On the lighter side of things I'm not trying to be rude, or confrontational, and I'm not mad. My paragraph above is a very shorten version of the exact pages. I just didn't want to go the long route like this.... Rising Powers P 103 Paragraph 2 ...Ramos knowledge wasn't enough, though. C. Hoffman needed additional resources, possessed only by the guild, to prolong his brothers life. Rising Powers P 103 Paragraph 3 The guild was looking for a way to infiltrate the ranks of the Arcanists and willingly took in both Hoffmans..... Rising Powers P113 Paragraph 3 ...While traveling through the breach, Ryle and his brother were bombarded with raw aether, the energy drawn to their magical potential. Both collapsed under the assault; but where C. Hoffmans talents were unlocked by the experienced, Ryle's body and mind were nearly destroyed..... It may say somewhere there was a train crash, but it's not in those's pages. In all honesty I'm not a fluff guy anyway...I just had the book handy so I though I'd chime in. Nighthater
