  1. Obviously, I'm not Wyrd, but what is the situation for other US companies? GW and Corvus Belli may well be getting stuff delivered without issue, but GW is a UK company and Corvus Belli is Spanish, so it could be the case that Europe-wide shipments aren't encountering problems but US-based ones are (which would make me think its something to do with the current US leadership). But that's just supposition on my part. It would explain a lot though. Of course, if other US companies aren't having the same problem then it won't be that!
  2. If all the female models in Malifaux were dressed provocatively, then I could see the point, but a crew of what are basically burlesque dancers dressed like burlesque dancers is a) thematically appropiate, and b) perfectly fine within the context of the range.
  3. An app search for "deploy Buried" makes it look like it is just the Undercover Reporter. Very likely unintended, but its nice to actually have a reason to take a Guild model!
  4. There isn't really an instruction manual but on the whole the app is very straightforward to use. Is there anything in particular you're struggling with?
  5. These models would be the perfect opportunity to realign Guild a little with the other factions. Will that happen though? We shall see...
  6. It amuses me that you rate Sonnia lower than Samael. When I say 'amuses', I mean 'upsets, obviously. Not for your rating, but that my favourite pyromaniac is so bad 😪
  7. I said a Good Doggo list. None of the dead or flea-ridden type! But all those dogs, plus Ferdinand Vogel (because a (were)wolf is just a big dog, right?) would be a fun crew! Even if it wouldn't get much done!
  8. Guild Hounds into Explorers so that, when Apex's dogs are released, McCabe can run a Good Doggo list.
  9. Well the Guild Asylum models (Dr Grimwell, Nurse Heartsbane, and the two Orderlies - but not the Nurses, as they are Resser) are already released in the One Flew Over box, so this is unlikely. It would be very strange to have 6 factions with their own dedicated Starter Box and two without, but with a random note saying "This is actually the Starter Box, really."
  10. Looks very similar to the Malifaux app too, which is great.
  11. Yeah, that 9ss (hooray for Keyword Tax 😑) is a lot.
  12. While I can completely see that the DMR may well not be worth it, I'm not so sure about the not having enough Living Minions to benefit from the Replace. Lawyers/Changelings/Investigators/False Witnesses are a nice spread of Living Minions. The DMR won't be near all of them, all the time, but would get some use out of his ability, I would have thought. Rifleman is probably a good call though!
  13. So I've been thinking about what I'd like to play when things return to a semi-normal state and Lucius is a Master I really want to try (seeing as I've owned him for years!). Looking through the models available to him he has a decent selection of Minions in his Keyword, but not a huge amount of killing potential (Agent 46 notwithstanding), which makes perfect sense given his theme. So I was thinking about options to go with him. Obviously there's Guild Heavy-hitters like Executioners and the Peacekeeper that can be brought in, but I was wondering what peoples thoughts were on including a Death Marshal Recruiter in the crew? The DMR isn't exactly a killing machine, but would have one of the larger damage tracks in the crew (especially with Critical Strike). Pine Box could be a useful tool in the right situation (and is ripe for being Obeyed/Mimic'ed as required), and the ability to replace your casualties with Death Marshals seems like a useful way of getting extra value out of your inevitable casualties. 9SS feels a little expensive for a model with out a dedicated purpose though. So, would it work, do you think?
  14. TBF, I'm not sure a bunch of weird unicorns fit Malifaux either, but the crew is still cool
  15. This is going to be my first Nightmare crew. Bring on the (hopefully) inevitable cyberpunk bubblegum Metal Golem!
  16. It wasn't Nightmare, just that single model. And Neverborn have also had that with Miss Ery. Both Factions could do with a proper Nightmare box!
  17. If she's the Master of the Spelleaters (in no way confirmed!) and Asylum Keyword, that would make her a very Guild-centric Explorer's Master (as the Spelleaters are definitely Witch Hunter Keyword). As a Guild player I'm completely down with that, of course 😉
  18. The biggest problem with this idea is that Minions aren't unique characters. I can't think of a single other Minion that is a named character rather than a generic Minion. We have: Masters - uniquely named powerful individuals that can use Soulstones Henchmen - uniquely named individuals that can use Soulstones Enforcers - uniquely named individuals that can't use Soulstones (even models like the Peacekeeper are uniquely named in a Faction) Totems - models tied to specific Masters (some unique, some not) Minions - generic grunts So making a uniquely named character a Minion doesn't fit with the naming conventions of any other model (unless there's one I've forgotten, of course!)
  19. It's not beyond the realms of possibility that this fits in the same crew as the Brocken Spectre previewed a while back. Now, obviously its more likely that will be in a darker, ghost-themed crew along with the Daeva, but both the Brocken Spectre and this Tidecaller look to be somewhat restrained by technology, so the crew could instead be a mad scientist trying to (literally!) harness nature spirits instead.
  20. Yeah. It was the most logical way to approach the new releases given the current Master balance across Factions. I'm still not convinced that all the new releases will be Explorer's Faction though. There's still plenty of room for existing Faction models that share Explorer Keywords as well.
  21. To be fair, the units name is "Spelleater." It's a pretty thematic ability for that name. I can't see the rest of the Keyword sharing it. My money is on the other Keyword's ability being the blacked out text (Arcane Shield being what it takes from Witch Hunter).
  22. Honestly, I'm not sure its worth the hassle of special ordering. It would all depend on how the special orders are packaged. Looking at Wayland Games' site (the only UK place I know that has the special orders online), there are three types of Special Order, single models (like Agent 46), a group of minions (Order Initiates or Good Ol' Boys), and one box that's combined (Elijah Borgmann and the Firebranded). If Alan and the False Witnesses are packaged together, it might be worth getting the special order (as the Elijah set is only £22). But if they are separate items (and they may well be so that Journalist players can get the False Witnesses without needing to get Alan as well), then the pricing will probably be similar to the other sets: £12 for the single model, and £19 for the group of minions (So £31+ in total). It's only £31.32 to pre-order the Internal Investigation set. It would be easier to just grab the box and either throw away, or sell the Investigators, or even use them for some kind of conversion. Of course, it all depends on how the special order is implemented and how much it would cost.
  23. I was already buying everything. You didn't need to get me more excited!
