  1. Which is great, because having poison gamin in his box never made a whole lot of sense
  2. What exactly is wrong with the special orders? That are specifically designed to alleviate issues with rebuying models. "Oh no they bundled a model I have with models I don't. But they gave me the option to buy just the ones I don't have. How dare they." Whoever you buy your stuff from will be able to order the sans-golem box, so what is the problem? As for the Hucksters, sorry you made proxies for models you knew would be releasing, likely soon? For literally everyone who didn't do that, having them bundled is great. Buy the McCabe core box, and the huckster/desper box and you have basically the whole keyword. Lowers price per model and reduces SKU bloat, which retailers like.
  3. To me they look like Fiery Doomseekers, so they definitely check the "Cult" box for me
  4. Strongly disagree, those Firebranded look fantastic
  5. To support a local business that you play at? I almost exclusively buy things from my LGS, and special order just about everything I get. In return they provide a fantastic place to play and grow the community. When I can go meet up for a game at Ebay or Amazon then maybe that will change
  6. So it sounds like a handful of crew boxes caught up to the normal price for them, and a couple lost minis. I'm fine with that, the company needs to make something, and $5 here or there isn't going to break me. On the other hand though, many things are now cheaper than they were. At first glance, more things got cost reductions than increases. Riders/A&D went down $5, the Emissaries now come with free Effigies at the same cost as before (so an $11) drop. Plus, more things are being bundled into keyword packs, which are almost always cheaper than buying the minis individually. So, not to worry, the sky is not falling
  7. Toni is so Henchman focused it might just be her, Mouse, and her 3 henchmen (hopefully not really)
  8. A while back, a "worshipers of flame" or something along those lines was teased that included the Firebranded and Elijah, Has this box replaced that? Or what I'm really asking is if I already have a Fire Golem, can I get the other models in this box without getting another Golem (maybe through the first year special orders?)
  9. Very excited for all the TOS goodness! Also the Double Rush event sounds like a blast
  10. I tried out Collodi last night against Hoffman, having him hit the Peacekeeper, and telling it to hit Hoffman seemed solid
  11. My go to is Yarazi, if no other reason they cost 1 tactic less than the other things that I would summon. Plus I'm never sad to have more super quick runners around
  12. Loyal to the Coin - Possible for McCabe? Hucksters, Desper Laraux, etc One Born Every Minute - I have to believe is gremlins, probably Big Hat. Georgy&Olaf, Good Ol' Boy, Spit Hog Burning Bridges I am really not sure. Based on the price it seems like it must be some sort of Encounter box, maybe a 3e starter?
  13. No SS manipulation - She can use doves as stones, very similar in practice to her old artificial soulstone No dove summoning - Yea, she can with the trigger on Presto-Chango No interact as 0 - While that is gone in practice, Presto-chango does also drop a scheme marker at long range, which in my opinion is better than doing it as a zero. Most of her crew still has don't mind me, I think they are just fine with interacting as a 0. Maybe is she is more of a crew pusher now, but my last game with her, I managed to get an unactivated Duet within charge range of my opponents deployment zone on turn one... I definitely consider that enabling
  14. The scoring system for the tournament looks very interesting
  15. I've never lost against them, playing Hordes and Cult. KE definitely has a shallower learning curve than some of the others, but all factions are viable. Like Retnab said, with GH use cover/pools to your advantage, and bring Whelks if you have them. Storm Siren has an amazing Lure, which you can use to bring the food closer to your fishes. For non faction specific advice, remember that you win games by scoring points. Excluding Pitched Assault, it tends to be very difficult to score points if you don't leave your deployment zone. Casualties are acceptable (especially if you play Hordes) if it means you are scoring
  16. Probably just "3e Dreamer" and "3e Chompy". Calling them alts would get confusing because some masters already have alts (looking at you Rasputina...)
  17. I mean its not really an alt (it is but it isn't). Unless you consider the 2e model an alt for his 1e model. I propose Teenage Dream(er) and Lord Chunky Bits
  18. Thanks! Also, no daydreams? Or is that thing behind Dreamer a daydream....
  19. When I click on the gallery link, it takes me to the website post, with just a render of Dreamer. Is that all there is?
  20. Summoned units also come in with a single full fireteam instead of the full unit
  21. Thanks for everything Mason! Wyrd, I sincerely hope you guys can stop hemorrhaging people soon. In the last year Aaron, Kai, and Kyle have left. All 3 very well known and well liked in the community. Two of whom were also lead designers for your flagship games. Between this, a very rough TOS kickstarter/release, along with your inability to release Malifaux models on any sort of schedule (also where is Bayou Bash? and the Iconic Fate Deck?), I am very worried. I love your games, and really really want you to do well. So please, get it together
  22. This doesn't quite work. I don't have the exact reference handy but there is a rule in the summoning section that states a fireteam that was summoned that turn may not interact with Objectives in any way. So you could summon an egg, and if it survives the turn, grab it the following turn, but not the turn it is summoned. This is still useful for sitting on objectives on the outer edge of the board, either denying someone else claiming them, or making your opponent waste actions to chase them down before the next turn
  23. Personally I'm guessing they are holding off on that until TOS is comfortably stocked and 3E launches
  24. For the sake of your opponent, or anyone in a 2 block vicinity, I sincerely hope you never need that many!
