  1. I don't believe that Dashel is as bad as you make him out to be. I understand that Guild-players currently feel underpowered, but I personally think that atleast some, almost miniscule part of this, is the result of hyperbole and the echo chamber(ing) that can occur at times. That being said, I also believe that Sandeep & Dreamer, among other masters, are atleast a bit over the curve. I'd much rather see them be brought down, however. There are obviously things that need buffing in the Guild-roster, though. Please be gentle, Guild players 😁
  2. This topic is gettin' a bit off track, buuuuut.... Isn't the Guard-crew based around a heavy amount of SS gain through Loot their corpses? That should allow for the summoning suits and filtering cards during the beginning of the turn. Hell, you can use it to keep him alive aswell. Maybe my local meta is unique compared to others, but my experience with Dashel doesn't really scream "bland master who struggles to stay alive, kill or summon.". He has access to good damage and somewhat flexible models. And denying Scheme marker-Schemes can be a winning strategy. It means you are dictating a core part of the game. Several other summoners struggle with card draw, which seems like a fair trade for a summoner.
  3. Agreed. Are people still thinkin' Soulstone Miners are a completely balanced model? It seems to have an almost obligatory position in most Arcanist crews, regardless of the Keyword. It might be solved through GG1, but right now they just make some schemes too easy to score I feel.
  4. Almost a 1-to-1 on how I did it! Got any pictures of yours? I'm lookin' to up my game on the new War Pigs and Squealers
  5. Just lost my Rotspawn a few months ago to the same thing. RIP Mr. Wiggles...
  6. Do any of you have any experience with a tarot-sized container that would allow me to separate my Keyword Cards into different sections?
  7. Done and done - I'd hate myself I didn't mention that schemes mean a lot aswell. Zipp might not be top 3 for a lot of the strategies, but if the schemes turn in his favor, he'd jump straight up the poll.
  8. Wicked So Som'er would actually ignore the height difference, in the aformentioned scenario?
  9. Hello everyone My local gaming area just started adding a whole lot of buildings with accessable rooftops that allow a model to climb up and shoot. My question, however, is whether I can summon models onto the roof of the building, and do I need to account for the height of the building? An example of this would be Som'er. He has a summon with range 6. I wanna summon a model onto a height 4 building. Do I need to account for the height 4, or can I treat summoning as a "Flight" mechanic, where I basically just place the model.
  10. True, it is a nice initiative. Though most of this is done to help with the transition from M2E to M3E, and the new repackaging model they've chosen. In either case, a single update with an expected timeline would go a long way for players who are waiting for the update. I really like Wyrd, and think they've done an amazing job with Malifaux and the company as a whole. They've set a new standard for me, and as a customer, I'd simply hate to see them fall off. Especially when all we need is an expected update on the feature.
  11. Hmm.. I can see the upgrade part, but it seems slighty vague / situational on the other arguments. But I'll admit that I havn't faced O Zipp a whole lot.
  12. Can you give a few examples of how?
  13. Hey all Recently played against someone, where we ended up in a weird discussion. He was hitting a friendly model, who relented on the attack. He then flipped 3 cards that were all 11+ (On negative) I was pretty stoked about this, since he pretty much obliterated his own model. He, however, said that he could just choose to do Weak instead, since it is his own model. I was pretty confused about the whole thing, but said sure and let it pass. Later in the turn, he attacked one of my models with the “Bombs in yer’ belly” upgrade from Sparks. He flipped a single card from the deck on damage, and hit a 12. Normally this would mean my model takes Severe damage and would, thanks to the upgrade, do a Moderate blast on his own model. He then said he’d rather just do Weak damage, but didn’t need to cheat a card in (he just “downgraded” the Severe damage) Have you guys ever seen the rules on this or?
  14. Unfortunately, whenever I see those Schemes I just forget about my other masters and look at Mah Tucket with her Soul Stone miners. They just make those schemes so easy to score. Big Hat feels too slow (unless you include a Pigapult) to compete with Soul Stone miners. For Ulix however, I'd recommend Big Brain Brin with a Piglet! The combination of Pulling the Strings and Demise (Delicious Bacon) means you can rush a piglet to one side, and have it die at the end-phase to drop a scheme marker.
  15. Any news on the episode? I've been counting the days since you tossed this teaser out! 😁
  16. Would love an ETA from Wyrd on the update, tho'
  17. Dang, I really wanted to paint some pork during the holidays 😐
  18. Seems like the Spit Hog should be available on Special order by now. No?
  19. Huh, I always figured it was any amount of upgrades.
  20. Not sure if I understand what you mean. Can you give an example of the upgrade, and the specific rule & wording?
  21. This seems like a great fix, imo. I've personally considered one of the following changes as an alternative: No longer draw a card at the end of the action Once per turn (Seems very harsh) Once per activation (Allows for Obey-ing, which makes the change feel redundant) But Only during this model's activation seems like a better choice imo. ALSO I'd like to Agree twice, if possible. Someone please help with that 😁 ALSO I'm gonna back up this aswell. The model just doesn't seem to be worth the stones you pay for it. Maybe if Pluck the Strings was a ranged attack I'd see myself enjoy the model more.
  22. I too would like to see Mah's Focus-trigger on Horrible Hollerin' become a single-use. It seems too strong in its current form, and adds too much flack on the keyword as a whole. This would obviously translate to other crews that have a similar problem - Such as the Nephilim crew. Maybe make Focus automatically reduce down to +1 at the End Phase?
  23. I can see that, but I prefer to look at each model regardless of their counterparts in other factions. Model X can still be considered too strong, even if model Y is available. Still, figured it was worth a mention.
  24. I'm surprised that more people don't mention the Hooded Rider. It is, from my point of view: An amazing beater A highly mobile model Flexible in what you need it to do Very survivable Has a game-ending bonus action in the later (3+) turns of the game. I've seen Zorida do horrible, horrible things with it, but I can imagen other Masters having similar succes.
