Bleeding Disease can do 6 dmg without damage flip, while a typical beater with 3/4/5 damage spread can do 9~15 damage with damage flip in 3 actions. Blight Tokens do not go away, but the Injured can be removed after Hamelin activation.

In Bayou the Big Hat is the keyword you looking for. Som'er can be fully inside his keyword without losing any efficiency, as long as not playing into Symbol. Some players(including myself) bring Big Brain Brin into the crew, but the crew preform perfectly fine without him. I feel like Ulix and Sooey can as well play with pure keyword, but am not familiar enough to place the statement.

Several masters in the game do feel like unbeatable in the first 10 games before you have learnt how to play against them. The best way to learn them, rather than just reading cards, is to playing them by yourself. You may ask your opponent to switch side with you, playing Hamlin and having very first hand experience on his strength and weakness. Sometime a model's weakness is hidden behind the veil until you have chance to get into it. You may also want to share your faction and mostly used keyword, such that all of us may provide actual advices for you to counter and overcome the issues you mentioned.

All swampfiend could go under Infamous after Zoraida leaving. They has a silurid wprking as the first mate, there should be no difficulty to recruit his friends. All bayou swampfiend models fit well into Infamous keyword with their high mobility. Then Mancha and his wrastler then could leave Infamous (I still think they do not fit the keyword in theme). They could go back to Wizz-Bang or join the Big-Hat family, if their masks were counted as hat. As for the new master, I would like to see Big Brain Brin being promoted. Test Subject and maybe Survivor could go after him (and Mancha and wrastler might go to Tricksy for the vacancy). His studying was partly overlapped with Von Schtook, so might be Big Brain Brin was invited to the University and became the Bayou/Resser master with the Transmortis keyword, while Prof. Schtook stay behind the veil. All current abilities/actions on the prof. card are well fit to Brin in theme so just a few changes and it was good to go.

Meta can be changed easily by new GG. Currently no S&S requires massive action so you cannot see the value of cheap models. It is not a trouble at all for Wyrd to make new S&S that rewards huge models count. The good ol' "Counting model number on each table quarter" type of Strategy can simply do the job. Likewise they can handle the summoner "issue" with new S&S that punishing summon upgrades. Another thought to the summoners, most of them, if not all, are being powerful not simply because of their summoning. Dreamer has Lucid Dream, Sandeep can draw card from concentrating, Somer hands out numerous additional attacks. I am not sure is nerfing summoning the silver bullet for all of them at once.

The damage is coming from the ability, which is enhanced to the model by the upgrade. So in the case of Take Prisoner, the Dead Rider was killed by itself, which would give the 2nd VP to the opponent. Likewise Bad Juju could not score Vendetta since it did not damage the Dead Rider at all during its activation. It is a separated damage from the original damage, they have different source, different value and different nature(irreducible or not).

Anya is definitely a fragile master. Many other masters/henchmen, even with better defensive abilities, can be easily removed. Emissary is a good defense piece, but not a reliable option for Anya because (a) the Emissary can hardly keep up with Anya's high mobility, and (b) Anya and other revealed models have very limited to no way to draw card. Also all healing from the known models are a single point of healing, which means it is action consuming and hard to give out enough healing within a single activation. The best way to play Anya is to avoid the main battle field, like handing out at the second line or flanking. Threating enemies with her pseudo-Leap (her bonus action does not require LoS). Also her placing 3 scheme marker in an activation can be brutal in the end game in certain scheme like Leave Your Mark, Breakthrough and Sabotage. Note that her Hazard ability does require LoS, so a enemy charging to a spot between Anya and the marker would only suffer hazard effect once from moving.

Assume a pair of master and totem is about 20ss, full master(and totem) crew means 5~6 models only. I think summoner, who can overcome the lackage of actions, is the reasonable choice in most case. Also you may not want master who rely on his/her own keyword, and no more than one master who is resource-hungry. So in Bayou it will be something like: Somer (Leader) + Mah + Zipp + Zoraida

Youko sounds like a Japanese name rather than a Chinese name to me. There is not a single word in Chinese that commonly use in name is pronounced "You" nor "Ko". While being a Chinese word, "Wokou" does mean "Pirate from Japan". The word "先生" in Chinese can mean "Educator" and "Tutor", though it is more mental aspect than martial aspect. But "Sensei" is actually a pronunciation in Japanese, so I do agree that Wyrd had messed up here. While none of them are actually Oni. I really hope Wyrd would fix the keyword name in the next edition. Also Yan Lo, while having a Chinese name, all his family(or descendant) are having Japanese name, like Chiaka and Toshiro.

Other interesting benefit of parasite token is letting Cadmus model to relent attack from enemy. Opponent is able to cheat in any card for suit he wants in return of on damage. Useful depends on the damage spread and trigger. So that Von Schtook can counter them.
