  1. You're right Weird, I think we've played it wrong for a loooog time !
  2. It also means that when a model tries to disengage, it will gain a Brillance token ! Don't fly away from the druuuuuug !!! Edited
  3. So here i will update this topic for people to find TT's data in a easy way. I'll edit when we'll find some more : Minako Rei has gained Versatile Yan Lo's Rebuild Corpus was slightly changed so that it cannot be abused. Youko Hamazaki "We Own You" triggers has been changed so that it actualy does what it was meant to do. Lone Swordsman "Last Breath" has been changed to avoid obey abuse. High River Monk "Chi Blast" is now 8" instead of just 8". Beckoner got their built-in symbol remove but their damage tracks includes a brillance token.
  4. It's a 1" push + 2" because of declaring trigger. => 3" and it's +3" per discarded scrap
  5. => Sun Quiang is fantastic in mei's crew : Every model that end their RTR next to him will heal 1, he'll have some scrap to Study wherever you want. And above all, he'll be able to prevent a weak model from dying : Sparks will just scamper towards him once, then be able to be place behind the old man. A Rail Golem that has just been analysed weakness will be able to be placed far behind and heal a little. I've been liking Sun Quiang a lot more than tanuki in mei's crew. => Another weakness of the golem is that your opponent knows you'll bring in some armored models, so he WILL bring in anti-armor, and the golem will get destroyed if he moves forward (my last game against perdita reminded me this in a very bad way. => I've tried a burning mei crew, with dawn serpent and Obsidian Statue. If your opponent has to remain packed with his models, this can be interesting. My test against collodi has proven effective. => I've also played Mei with a very low scrap delivery amount, and it kinda works. Sure, you won't get much Ride the Rail possibilities, but Mei + her totem + a porkshop, can place some scrap in very specific places and be ok with it. Also, Mei doesn't really rely on those to be very mobile. Her Bonus let her push 3" even if she has no scraps around before she can choose to charge or to breath of fire. => You have some very interesting masters to take as 2nd : Mc Cabe is very good in this crew. Asami will be able to remove some scrap for her models to last longer and be able to summon akaname & obsidian Onis to spread more scraps. Shenlong will be able to do anything you need him to do : ignore armor, move scheme/scraps, kill models with manipulative (which is hard for mei) => And you have Minako Rei, which is golden in any mei's crew, you'll just have to bring quite a lot of scrap generators. In the end, TT Mei looses Magical Training and those versatile little robots that are good for her, but she gains some good stuff to diversify and against heavy counterpicks.
  6. It needs a nerf, not a reason to never hit any table anymore...
  7. Generally what i do against beginners : don't kill their leader (or at least don't rush it). choose the worst schemes possible and try to build the best team to score those (build a balanced crew, not a too killy one). Don't use nasty out of the hat combos (yes, taking zoraida with thoon and doppleganger is nasty...). When your opponent does some bad, gamebreaking choices, let him know. Then play the best you can, so that you respect your opponent. Specificaly for Nvb : I would avoid Zoraida, too many obeys on enemy models..
  8. Hi guys, Yesterday, I had a game with this awesome keyword, playing a plant explosives strategy against Basse. For some time now, my friend and I have noticed that Yan lo's crew has become the : "not worth trying to hit most of them" crew. I'll explain : Turn 1, Chiaki has Manos and a Gokudo in 4". She just gives Manos uprade to the Gokudo. Now we have a Gokudo, Mv7, most of its stat 5, to everything, that has H2K, demise Eternal, Regen +2. This little fellow just focus once on turn one (in addition to Risky Maneuver) and therefore will draw us a card whenever we cheat for anything. He can disengage and still Interact, he almost can't die... He also has a 17" threatening range, with 2/3/4 staggered attack with to hit and to damage. I never had that kind of experience with any model in Malifaux. Now we have a Manos, that can go everywhere on the table, not carrying about dying, because he can't really be killed. => So the opponent has 2 impossible to kill scheme runners, that can disengage themselves with ease I've found that Chiaki's trigger Split the Soul was a very elegant way to make Reliquaries usefull, but I think, in the end, it's over the top. Also, playing with all of Yan Lo's upgrades, in addition to all the reliquaries upgrades + standard upgrades + McCabe or Shenlong... Let me that bitter taste, using 12+ upgrades to deal with all over the table. Reliquaries shouldn't do anything, but allow a model to come back to the table, so Chiaki would be good, but not mandatory.
  9. works perfectly for me. Looking forward to seing more ! 2 and a half hour is not much when you're not a fast painter
  10. I used to like when there was Malifaux Mondays and ToS fridays. Twice as many news for people playing both systems ! Now I'm just eager for the Wednesday news every week, but I feel like it's not enough anyway for my thirst for it
  11. Awesome ! a new ToS multiplayer scenario ! Love you guys
  12. personnaly, for every numerical conditions/tokens, i now use dices of different colors. I use some v2 tokens for staggered, stun, fast & slow..
  13. Just a question though, what kind of glue do you use ? I hope you're not using super glue, it is fine for most gw models and others whatever the material is, but with Malifaux models, it is quite impossible to get it right. We have to use plastic glue to do it. If you already do, I can only be sorry for you, If you did not, I probably am the one saving your life and nerves !
  14. I've tried them twice, they both died after doing nothing. My opponent was using Eels and other models with piercing. also, they drew cards with some tactic tokens and once they have a tome, just go for the kill. Maybe I played it wrong, but I've found the eel to be so much more resilient than rhinos for their 3 points (which at the end of the game were more about 15 points and tons of VP scored). Do you wait for the Rhino to be stacked with a lot of tokens (i mean 6+) ? If so, how do you flip your other units ?
  15. About your next purchases, you can find most of the information you need on this topic :
  16. If I can give you some advice, it would be : Define Scheme pool a day or two before the game so you will have some time making your crew don't take too many different models (one of each to test them will surely make things a lot more complicated) Read your cards at least once or twice before getting into your game If there are some deployment stuff to do (tanuki should be close to some model that will need focus), try to think about those before the actual deployment. Now for your list : Something like : Misaki & Shang (free with 6 soulstones) torakage x3 (18), crime bossx2 (16), tanuki x2 (10) Don't take items. Now you'll have to understand how the team works with the shadow markers. It will be easier to learn some models and mechanism if you made some resilient choices. You'll be able to focus on the objectives and the models. But you should probably play a 30-35 soulstones team for your first game. I'd say : Misaki & Shang (free) with 2 soulstones, torakage x2 (12), crime bossx2 (16)
  17. Hi guys, I was wandering if you had some more Multiplayer Scenarii for The Other Side. The fact is that I've found the 4 players scenario not interesting enough to be played every time. If we dont have any ready to play scenarii, let's gather some ideas to make ourselves some more ! I'm may not have enough experience on this game (yet) to build one from scratch, but once I'll have any Idea, I'll share them with you. Let's do it !
  18. Has there been any more answer about this ? I'm okay with it playing this way, but it feels kinda clunky
  19. Nope, you just read the text as it comes. If it says you do something, you just do it. If it says you may do something, you "may" do it. And if there is a non-italic part you can't resolve, that's not a problem, just go ahead.
  20. Welcome to you ! And I think I can say you were awaited in the hench section
  21. There is almost always a TN for the push action, and this is by FAR the best push of all !
  22. Well, i'd be pretty cautious playing Shenlong right now, using the current set of rules. Because he was completely changed until the very last moment of the beta and some things were not "ready to print" in my oppinion. I think his 4 winds push will get a TN and the totems should be at -2, rather than -1... But that's pure speculation ! Sensei Yu is for me a way to refill my hand, I find him pretty usefull for that. I don't rely on him, and he'll probably die, but he will have the job done (drawing and distributing Chi tokens/fasts)
  23. With your current models, I'd probably cut an illuminated, take a depleted instead and get two items. You really need some stones (5-6 is ok, i wouldn't take any less). And depleted are quite mobiles and really are a pain in the a** for the opponent. It does a great deal of damage when exploding and have a tendency to stick around I really love Gwyneth, she's so versatile ! And messing with any plans your opponent could have make. She also hits quite hard and is able to refill your hand. That will be a good investment in the future. Another good investment for the future would be a tanuki or low river monk to have some way to sustain that poor Jacob.
  24. I've seen several Topics that were unburried from the depth of the M2e, answered by problematics of the M3e... Wouldn't it be possible to have some kind of transition ? Something like archiving those subjects in a subsection to start anew or locking older topics to avoid untimely gravedigging Or maybe we just let it this way.. Heh, we're in a world where necromancy is something arn't we ?
  25. Rebuild Corpus 10" - - - Target friendly non-Ancestor model and choose one of its Attached Reliquary Upgrades. Replace the target with the model named in the title of the the chosen Upgrade, then the new model Heals 5. Draw two cards. In fact, to resolve the action, after checking the costs, you just read it. First replace, then heal. Then draw 2. You can't replace (because the model is already on the table), so you can't heal. Then draw 2 (nothing prevents you from resolving that last part). But it's clearly not the intent of the Action.
