  1. I missed that. Tanks for the clarification.
  2. Not a minion, but has anyone already tried out the Emissary with Doppelgaenger and Changelings in a Lucius Crew. Having multiple "Il A Cage for all" Auras via Changelings looks funny to me while Doppelgaenger and Agent 46 who can borrow his Greatsword. "Boring Conversation" by Alan adds an additional annoying Aura on this.
  3. I started to like Hoffmann in the strat outside of corner deployment (he is a bit slow in guild) as he can very efficiently zone the opponent out of one side and the middle point with the peacekeeper/Melissa/Joss while using his high cards for cheating initiative. He and his totem can heal the damage done by throwing the idols. It's not super amazing but feels very solid. Never got the matchup but I can imagine the Riotbraker denying some of out of of activation tricks people tend to take in this strat.
  4. Wasn't there a list with Judge+LLC, Jury, Pale Rider+LLC and Steward that seemed fairly strange to me but tournament efficient?
  5. Really? I thought the false witnesses were guys wining and pointing at someone. I thought that they were official previews. I keep waiting.
  6. I remember a sculpt of two men wearing a horse costume or a guy in a barrel. But I can imagine wyrd being heavily occupied by the M3E release chaos. Same for false witness.
  7. I agree with you but tend to let PR in his foam for friendly games. He is just too good and I don't like all crew autotake models in this regard. Take him if you like, nothing to argument against. A friend of me just leaves when I take the PR. 😅
  8. Don't get me wrong. The PR is a No-brainer for everyone in almost every Matchup. But I feel he fits the least in his Crew. Against Joss, you don't stone for prevention but for negative damage flips which makes him spend his focus and a power tokens for mostly 2-3 damage. Additionally, he can't use power tokens to buy pos. Flips and Suits.
  9. I comment on Guild Hoffman as this is where we are now. The Pale Rider is just always good, maybe least in a Hoffman Crew as there is no direct synergy. I feel like Hoffman can play against Titania, but is at a slight disadvantage due to being less mobile while more tanky. It seems just very hard in general to kill her. I never had the matchup myself but i feel like you should be able to kill some of her sheme runner with the 14" inch threat range of the peacekeeper while being fairly resilient yourself. Depends on sheme pool and deployment (I never like corners with guild Hoffman). I practicly always add the toolkit for that sweet free focus. Imo Joss generally looks like a bad idea against htw units and master/henchmen can protect themselves with stones against the irreducible focus hits. I tried Melissa lately and was pleasently suprised by her performence as an additional shooter, but again, htw really hurts her 2/4/6 damage. If you want to stick with Hoffman, maybe this matchup can benefit Howard as he ignores defense trigger, is unimpeded and has a 3/4/5 damage line with the ability to buy the crow for execute. Never tried that out though.
  10. I feel like the rider is an autotake in the Crew as he heals, moves Perdita in Position and can give a free Charge (which gets +1 with Granny). I'm not sure about Franc though. He got a bit nerved but is still a heavy beater. Santiago and Nino are good, even without Upgrades. LLC on Perdita seems evident. I fell like I would struggle in missions/deployment that require speed, and the scheme runners tend to be squishy.
  11. I actually misinterpreted the way this would work. After discussing the issue with friend yesterday, I agree now that it’s a strong but not overly busted model. Thanks for correcting me though.
  12. Thanks for your opinion. I agree with you that unique mechanics are, what makes Malifaux an awesome game that I really enjoy. I might unintentionally have crossed a line while stating my opinion. Maybe my bad English or lack of experience created a misunderstanding. I’ll leave Tara aside as she is (as the Mechanical Rider) clearly intended to do, what she does, as its printed on her card No offence implied. I feel free to think, that there is a loop hole in the functioning of bonus actions and replacement effects, if you can break up and reform the coryphee the same turn. You clearly have deeper insights than me concerning the balancing of the models and this mechanic, so I will accept and wait for a possible FAQ. Sidenote: 12 SS feels completely fine for a stat line with Df/ Mi 7 with nimble, agile and armour +2, even without shenanigans, but again, I may be mistaken. 🙂
  13. I think it's absurd that splitting and reforming a model is a viable option the same turn. Also, in my mind, the two models replacing the activated coryphee should both have the same number of AP and bonus actions left that the original model had left when splitting (so 0). The same should be true when forming. If a rat king is formed by the action of a model that has 0 AP left, it should have 0 AP itself (and not the 2 AP of one other rat that did not activate that turn).
  14. I have found a Warden to be fairly decent. 5SS 5LP 6er Stats and the ability to shoot someone slow are quite cool. I think The Steward adds practically nothing to the Hoffman Crew as he heals perfectly fine and even has the ability to remove conditions. I’d consider something like: Hoffman+Totem Toolkit Peacekeeper Hunter Warden/Watcher 4/5 SS A fast attendant can lay two scheme marker for harness the leyline with companion or just run down a flank from the middle line and reach his deployment zone (push 2”, run 10, place marker) and threaten the turf war marker, while the Peacekeeper holds the middle marker with Hoffman.
  15. Augmented without Hoffmann isn’t really viable. Consider taking a Peacekeeper instead of a Guardian next time as he does more damage and has a harpoon to compensate for his lack of mobility. I dont have a ton of experience against Tara but be careful with overcharge as she tends to work with your fast conditions. You are also a fairly easy Deliver target. what I often do with Hoffmann: Stack PT and fast on Peacekeeper and Joss with transfer Power from Attendant/Watcher/Warden and Overcharge. Then Peacekeeper activates, pushes 2”, (if necessary) buys a ram for harpoon, shoots and drags juicy target 6”, charge, flurry, attack. Buy positive flips or rams for crit depending on the target. I personally like taking the mobile toolkit to give free focus to the big models. The damage output gets pretty disgusting. Harness the Leyline and Breakthrough should be very doable.
  16. 2:30 doesn't seem that long. I have a long way to go before achieving this speed for a 50SS, 5 turn game.
  17. Not subject related. I have two and feel with you. Be assured it gets better after the first 3-6 months. Be strong and watch stream with earplugs in the meantime (that's what I used to do)! Good Luck!
  18. That is indeed very good. But imagine him starting to get his tokens at the beginning of turn 2 - starting with 1 and additionally allow him to use Soulstones. That would be slightly more balanced. Keep in mind, that you could also use him as an unstoppable Sheme Runner who moves 19" a turn with unimpeded on a flank .
  19. Stunned is awesome. If only there was a model that heals and removes conditions while being coastly to kill... That would be an ideal support for that totally busted model. But to be fair, I seriously think the riders in general get their fate tokens way too fast.
  20. I think Perdita is quite solid as her Crew is very synergistic and resource effective. They draw cards, she can cycle them and kill key models with analyse weakness or multiple weak models. Df 6 is solid too. Focus comes easy, I find the family in total quite decent to play. The Pale Rider is just bullshit and I decided to not play him anymore. He is severely imbalanced (as most of the riders are). They just gain fate tokens way too fast, are very tanky, good scheme runners if needed and have ride with me. Absurd.
  21. I think that the Upgrade is not efficient on the Austringer as the Raptor already has parts of the abilities built in. The Armour piercing is redundant with Crit Strike and Onslaught. Might be worth it in Keyword but not worth the offcrew taxe as most Crews seem to have at least decent other shooters (Sniper, Lone Marshal), if needed.
  22. I feel that counterspell with bodyguard is an interesting combination while I would run the Diesel Engine on a Hunter. 4" + 3" + 2" + 6" charge sounds pretty nasty to me, especially with a bunch of power tokens and the +dmg flip for charging.
  23. Thanks for the reply. I didn’t verify the card and thought it to be a bonus action. What if, in the first case Hamelin causes them to mold with his Unclean Influence Action (having two rats that count as already activated). Does the rat count who took the action to determine, weather or not the new model can still activate?
  24. I felt like Lady J has just two very good henchmen, LLC is better for her now. The Lone Marshal is just awesome with sh 7, good mv, run and gun and his ability’s to evite getting tied up. I would play him practically always. Domador felt good as a backup healer and he can obey the pale rider. The Steward felt like a great addition to the crew for healing and condition removal and even a DM looked like he could have the potential to transform into a scheme runner, when he gets obeyed and eventually fast. I agree that DMR are surely more viable in a Dashel Crew as they are roughly the same coast as the jury und the marshals tend to spread a lot which makes it hard to benefit from his summoning.
