  1. Yep The first time I've noticed it...I thought she didn't have to discard upgrade as well. Unfortunately...turned out she has to! I disagree on this, In my opinion, the very biggest leak of Outcast is the absence of scheme runners and push...This models have both. This model can throw a scheme marker after a push with 1 of the 2 (0) actions...that's unique in outcast. Also the (0) action with the destined condition? It can win games for you in my opinion. You can disengage people, reposition them and place marker for many schemes (Set up, detonate the charges, convict labor - ~impossible with outcast, ....) And it's a very tough model because with Df6, 10 Wd, HTK...not easy to pin down....with a ranged attack and a built-in discard/slow mechanics. Moreover it brings you the "Don't mind me" trinket which is very, very strong for schemes as well. I believe this would be a very good addition to outcast, despite being not a big beater...but you have abundance of them in outcast !

  3. I always take "The shirt" and "Survivalist" with him. It's strong enough that you don't have to worry about keeping him alive...it requires just too much to kill him and you can easily stone or remove the shirt. The absolute best position imo is in the middle giving his insane aura to as many models as possible. It's strong when the strategy is Extraction or Guard the stash and the team are focused to be compact in the middle of the map. Regarding librarian, I don't think you need to worry to much in being close to him. I believe there are models that need its attention more than him. However, my experience with a librarian is a little disappointing. Awesome on the paper...but too "short-ranged cure" in the real life. I didn't really use his healing effect as much as I thought...so I've reconsider his "must-have" condition I thought before. However, he has a good CA attack so it's a good offensive tool as well.
  4. Only 6SS...in outcast! almost an auto include is a very good choice being also to have only access to conditions removal in outcast
  5. Unfortunately Outcast have no cheap activation..at least now that rat engine is gone. Only options are effigy and winged plague.
  6. I've used two nights ago with Lenny, Card, Built-in ram, Mosquito do-it, Somer do-it. Having a +5 on min. damage...for a track of 7/8/9 is absolutely crazy with a Ml 6 and 3 AP. (Of course I was lucky, 2 low rams in hand and 2 medium rams in hand) I was engaged with 3 lot-of-wounds but weak resser models...all destroyed.
  7. An extra box is good, however you might find yourself limited in choice with only 4 extra gremlins. If you want to be free in game to summon whenever you want to, you unfortunately need 2 extra boxes.
  8. Haven't try it yet. On the paper, I believe that with Von Schill is crazy strong. Do not randomize into an engagement? Is super strong....BUT have a free "The shirt comes off" every turn? It's crazy, crazy overpowered....a Healing flip with a PLUS onto a hard to kill sturdy master? That has a 2 MIN healing AND makes a 12 WP HORROR in 8"? That must be...an error? in my opinion. It makes no sense, at all. I agree that playing with Levy is more for fun than for competitive play, no idea on how will impact jack daw. On other hand, it might be good with Tara. You'll have also the scion which is - tricky - but useful in my opinion, so finally the Tara crew might finally have a scope with the bury mechanics.
  9. Surely the versatility is the biggest prop, no doubts. And with it, it comes that it can't be a beast with Sh or Ml action or it would be just too strong. I think Sh / Ml options are something you can keep in mind but not something you can count on, you have to wait an error or an opening in the game and punish it. On other side, it could be a good combo Lenny + Gracie to be honest. A little bit expensive, 20 SS are a lot...but Gracie solves the "slow" problem of Lenny, Lenny incredibly boost Gracie...I will definitively try it when hunting party show next time ! I'm still have lot of doubts on slop haulers...considering when you summon the is built-in thanks to Somer, they can heal 2 DMG to everyone in 2"...I found them super effective. However, I do agree that are hell of a problem because they might blown up your new gremlins before you can heal them. But hire merry if you don't have scheme based on "Scheme markers" is pretty - unsatisfying for me. However, I have to agree with (Dogmantra? or don't remember who...) that the "Bigger hat" action is not very likely to be used, most a hidden threat. That's because you somehow have something else better to do even if the Somer crew can benefit more of having no cards in hand. However, I will try to give this a try next time as well because I do agree with you that - on the paper - still amazing. Do you often hire 2 skeeters or just 1? Question: With trixiebelle, can you shunt an attack to a gremlin within 3" with only 1 Wound left? So the attack basically fails, Trixie is safe and you might be able to draw 2 cards?
  12. I agree, Karina is a very bad summoning model (and model itself is not good either, imo) But if you like to play it I wouldn't invest a lot because you are going to do it so rarely that you can't really appreciate the variety of models you might be able to summon, not much at least.
  13. That is absolutely the key. Colette needs to make Prompt once per turn....and belle, yeah - CA 6 would be strong anyway but more balanced.
  14. Thanks for all precious tips. For some reasons I didn't think I could summon from a Gremlin with less than 3 wounds, I thought it was an additional cost. The option to sacrifice a gremlin to draw two cards is quite interesting. Next time I will try the other somer upgrades...maybe also to get a Sammy around to spawn gremlin if I need the dmg of Somer. I also didn't read carefully the skeeters...they deny defensive trigger as well. Very nice vs arcanist...both colette and Rasputina will like it
  15. I don't think so, Colette still ridicolus strong, absolutely the strongest in the game. Surely leveticus was on second place with some others like perdita or ophelia

  18. I've finally done my first game with somer yesterday....Won 9-2 vs Kirai but I came out with more doubts and questions. Surely Somer is an unstoppable summoning machine, with a lightning bug he can easily summon 3 full health pieces x turn. No question, this is smooth and is exceptionally strong in game - like yesterday - where there is no scheme for killing and you can spam gremlin around fearless. But when it comes to kill? I found him quite unreliable for a master. On paper, I thought it was devastating also when it comes to kill...but on a second sight? Sh 5 is quite low, I was surrounded by Df 6 model (Yes, unusual...) or HTW model so I couldn't even count on the Focus+. On the paper looks amazing, but I found myself unable to capitalize on it. I had lenny in range always...and wanted to shoot on my models to trigger the two blast, but enemy were too spread around. He has basically no Ml dmg? The min. 1 DMG makes him so useless at a first sight. Maybe with a focus charge? But it takes all the AP to make - at the best - 5 or 6 dmg? I had only the family tree upgrade...does it worth to consider encouragement or can o beans? At a first look, they don't seem to be exciting. Is there any other thing I'm missing from it? Any cool synergies or combo? Another model that didn't do that good was Lenny. It's very, very slow...if you have to use it to counter-strike a crew jumping in your face, is definitively good for 9SS with a good damage track. But if you have to go in? It's very "slow"...and also couldn't really get much out of the "I'll love and pet it...". I couldn't get a tome in the first 3 turns, surely unlucky...but is this upgrade worth usually? And with WP 1....against those resser CA attack on WP, well....not exactly the best Overall I was positively surprised from Moon Shinobi: against resser they might be able to pay themselves, mostly if you find the Yin. With the 8" mask built-in with Somer, they can be focus and pushed easily by any bayou gremlin, incredibly mobile. As usual, thanks for feedback ! p.s. Burt Jebsen is a pure beast, with Lenny and Somer aura is kinda...rude p.p.s. I've hired only two gremilns leading to a first turn Family tree, Family tree and kill a gremlin for a new pig. Is there a better way to start summoning? What do you hire usually to maximize?

  22. Well, I have no clue on Blessed. A friend of fine - very good with Arca - said so and on a first look to me seems very poor. Hans, poor him When do you think is gonna work better than a trapper or something else? Remember it's 8 SS and requires 4 cards to maybe do something ahah
  23. Not true Surely she is overpriced but is not totally blah, you have just better options to look at in my opinion. A "blah" piece is Montresor, Hans or Blessed of December...those are Blah
  24. Ahaha, right ! But this confirms Hannah is overpriced for 10SS ! (And surely Johan underpriced for 6SS) Why not Strongarm Suit for 10SS then? More durability, More damage (It's the weak DMG the important one), Nice shooting, Incredibly more mobility...not only for the 1" total more, but for the augmented jump awesome ability. Or spend 3 SS more and get Ashes and Dust, tons of time better for 3 SS
  25. You have spent the whole activation of a 10 SS model and a master to do that, so in the best case you probably trade even in term of impacts into the game! Worst case, you've lost the trade
