    Elim! IPR5

Curse you and your use of TARDIS! Now I must work doubly hard on my entry to make sure it stands out >_< But I do like how this turned out. I mean, it has a TARDIS! You can't be mad when somebody has a TARDIS Good job! Grats on making it through the competition.

    My Teddy Totoro

Well yellow and orange aren't colors I normally use together either. But the reference material used that scheme so I felt compelled to copy it. Outside of this concept I would have done these two models quite differently. I'm still pleased with how it turned out though. So hopefully judging goes my way. But if not I'm not too concerned
  7. This turned out really great! Best of luck to you!
  8. "It may seem like a dream, Things are not what they seem, Now begins a new adventure for you..." Woo! Made in Japan! Such a fun theme to play with. I had so many ideas, but I eventually settled on using a classic Japanese children's movie as my reference. This is my take on My Neighbor Totoro using Wyrd minis I wanted to continue practicing my freehand for this entry, so the backdrop, nameplate, bus stop sign, and Teddy's arm embroidery are all freehand. I had a lot of fun with Teddy's arm, as I got to introduce another tie in to the movie in the form of the soot sprites. I hope you guys like it. And here's hoping I reach the finals. Now I'm gonna go watch that movie again!
  9. I can vouch that there's no external lighting being used. I've seen the WIP photos and the model is actually painted that dark. After placing it in a standard photo setup this is how I would have expected it to look based on the WIP shots. As to whether you feel the piece is flat. Well that's up to personal taste I suppose.
  10. I am so stealing this for my Lilith crew! Great idea. Love the paint job too. Gonna need to be careful if I don't want an ELIM to score higher than me lol

    made in japan

Lol, it's Made in Japan. There's going to be so many cherry blossoms and wooden bridges it'll make your head spin
  12. Well that is the plan Although at this point I think everybody is definitely gonna make me work for it. No more winning by 30+ points anymore! Lol
  13. Hey khylis. Glad you like her! it's a dark sword miniature called thief of hearts. Normally it comes with feathery angel wings so I also added their wings package for the conversion.
  14. Lol Pokemon cards. I love it Great work minion! Good luck to you in the judging.
  15. Somebody has taken go big or go home to heart Very lovely work! That's a really cool dragon. I'm glad it survived cats and gravity in order to be presented here
  16. "The wind howls, Signs of life flicker and fade, The dark lady calls, And something wicked this way comes." This entry was very tough. Due to a recent move I was very pressed for time. However, I still attempted to push my skills and for this entry I decided to focus on creating textures where there are none. Much of the surfaces are only freehand and not physically sculpted to the model. The stockings, the engravings on the tombstones, the front panel on the altar, the text in the book, the wing texture, etc. All of it is freehand. I'm pleased with how well my freehand skills are progressing and I hope you all enjoy it enough to send me into round 4!
  17. Looking great! I love the ruins you've made
  18. Wow! That's some pretty high praise! I'm so happy that everybody has liked this entry so much. I'm definitely going to do my best to keep it going moving forward.
  19. Very nice SEG! I love how tall it is as well as the balancing that had to take place to put that house there. Can't wait to see the scoring for our group as I think ours will be one of the closest for point spread. Definitely no "I Vill Crush You" for me this time!
  20. Looks great! Very nicely painted and a lot of similar motifs as mine. Best of luck to you in the judging! Gonna be an interesting round of scoring for us
  21. Wow. Very creative use of the theme! I think the shadow turned out great too. Lovely entry!
  22. Wow! Really liking the scene created by the backdrop. Did you freehand that? Also like the lettering in the name plate. Reminds me of an old I Love Lucy style font. Really nice entry sir!
  23. Wow! Really great work on the nmm! Always liked the hoffs avatar.
