  1. I used the Scion a lot in the beta, but have taken a break from Tara since then to mess around with resser stuff. I found this list worked in pretty much all of my games with Tara. Tara - Knowledge of Eternity, Eternal Journey, Dead of winter Scion - Scramble Karina - Summoning upgrade Nothing Beast -Void Shield 2x death Marshal 2x void wretch It let me play a pretty aggressive bury game with Tara. Knowledge of Eternity is used to ping things near Tara with fast and a damage, Dead of winter makes the bury test at -2 (essentially a TN 15). Eternal Journey gives Tara and escape method if things go wrong. The Scion can unbury any of Karina's summons and hit enemies with his nasty 3 damage if buried condition. Death marshals preform a mix of duties. Burying (friendlies and enemies) and running schemes. Void wretches Run schemes and heal. Karina finds a nice spot in cover and shoots or summons. My 2¢.
  2. If cursed object is in the pool I find it very difficult to pass up, and rarely do I not get 3 points from it (though usually my opponent does as well). I think it's easy because all you have to do is interact with a model that has already activated, and you can even miss it one turn and still get 3 vp . I generally avoid Spring the trap because I find you are relying on the enemy master acting early and your models being unengaged to pull it off for full points. I also think it's very easy for the opponent to spot and difficult to fake as another scheme.
  3. I would say Tara could benefit a lot. Reducing your opponents hand makes aggressive burying a legit threat.
  4. Depends on what size base you put them on?
  5. As a resser I would never buy any minions box where those minions also come in a master box (eg: crooligans come in Molly's box, Punk Zombies come in Nicodem's box etc.) because at some point you'll likely want that master, totem and their henchman. For that reason, I like the hanged as a purchase. I often hire 1, as they have down right scary abilities, but I doubt I'd ever hire 2.
  6. To be more clear, I'm looking for a photo of the robot part without the chair or Hannah attached.
  7. Anyone have pics of the retail version of Hannah prior to the harness being attached? Not a fan of the Harness and just wondering what sort of conversion options I would have. Thanks!
  8. Probably a long shot, but I have a 40K Eldar Bone Singer (new in blister) and I'm looking to trade it for a TTB Hannah. Would be willing to add $ to make the deal. Cheers.
  9. Wow? Difference of opinion. I think the plastic model blows the old metal one out of the water.
  10. Unless you can surround your opponent's model rat's can't actually tie anything up. They could be useful in Interference to engage models that have already activated.
  11. A couple of the local guys run him sort of that way. They typically take ancestors in their list but seldom take the upgrade to resurrect them. In our casual group I would say it works. They focus on getting Yan's chi high enough to get the first 2 upgrades, Incorporeal and impossible to wound, and ignore the last one. I think it's quite viable.
  12. Hans' "Smile you son of a....." is a reference from the movie Jaws.
  13. Where / how does one sign up for the newsletter?
  14. Sure, but they are all easy situations to create. Field Guide is a pretty great ability, after all.
  15. I will never understand why Freikorpsmann get such a bad rap. Armor +1 Unimpeded Immune to blast/pulse damage Field guide 12" rng shot with crit strike or reposition Df 7 (after Duck and weave) WP 7 and Hard to kill (while near Vonschill) Seems pretty good for 5ss to me.
  16. So long as my son behaves decently that day I've got a hall pass to come out!
  17. Pariah of iron states "non-gremlin faction construct", so I think you are mistaken.
  18. However, there are no rules that prevent you from using a soulstone to reflip the initiative. The black joker only prevents you from cheating and reflipping is not cheating. So you always have that option.
  19. - If you are on a single flip, focus so you can cheat the result. - if moderate damage is more than double weak damage it is often a good idea to focus. For example 1/3/4 damage. - if you need to hit a suit that you don't have in hand and can't use soul stones. and all the instances SpiralingCadaver mentioned.
  20. Then let's have Taelor "welcome" them to Malifaux using her Hammerfall attack!
  21. I personally am more interested in the ruling on 3 or 4 player non team games. So far we have played it that all opponents have to be at 0 cards in hand, which is pretty difficult to do, though I think it might be too easy and abusable if it were only 1 opponent that needed to be at 0 cards.
  22. Hi just wondering how ceaseless advance would work in a multiplayer game, would a single player need to be out of cards, or all opposing players in order to get reactive? Ceaseless Advance: When a friendly model ends its Activation, if the opposing player has 0 cards in hand, this model gains the Reactivate Condition.
  23. Should be able to make something like him from the Male multipart through the breach kit. Also, it would be a tourny legal proxy.
  24. Pull the Void stacks with Dead of winter for nasty bury shenanigans. If you were allowed to pull the void on the late reactivate you could generate up to 6 bury tests at essentially TN 15 (3 at the end of turn, 3 at the start of the next turn, -2wp for being fast within 6" of Tara) without really giving the opponent a chance to activate the model. That would be my guess.
