  1. Regarding the new upgrades, the answer is no, for the sake of consistency. The upgrades are new, unfamiliar to most, and that spells disaster for competitive events. They *ARE* legal in the Narrative, as are all Wave 4 models. Speaking of Wave 4 models, Aionus is the exception to the rest of the Wave 4 models, but for good reason. He is not a new model, having been released early. Most of us have familiarity with him, or at least have been given a chance to get familiar with him. In that context, Maht and I can see no reason he would not be allowed.
  2. Seeing how the city board came out, I'm looking forward to this one.
  3. As far as re-imagining, Vasilisa has to be the art I most want redone. The babushka is not what I imagined. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vasilisa_the_Beautiful
  4. I don't know. Tara is pretty generic. I'd love to see her brought up a notch or two.
  5. This is what I've run with Reva: 50 SS Resurrectionists Crew Reva + 6 Pool - Beyond Death (1) - Litanty of The Fallen (2) - Blood Mark (1) Vincent St. Clair (8) - Deal With Death (1) Carrion Emissary (10) - Carrion Conflux (0) Johan (7) Nurse (5) Nurse (5) Crooligan (4) Crooligan (4) It doesn't have much movement shenanigans, but with the Carrion Em, it allowed me to block off key portions of the field at the right time. The Nurses offered me control, healing, and movment (yay trigger!) With the Carrion Conflux adding to the nurses, and the +1 walk they get from it, it's a great boost to these already amazing models. And when Johan can move with a Walk 7 in turn one, it's not hard to get him in position. And with Reva and St. Clair having ways to remove damage reduction, the flips/+2 armor result is quite nice.
  6. Jack Daw has enough movement tricks to make it work, and Leveticus/Viks could just murderface enough people to make the strat impossible for the opponent to score against you.
  7. Which is three less damage she can do... Master AP is like the finest nectar.
  8. Yeah, but that (0) requires a suit, and since Vincent doesn't have accomplice, I find your opponent can often work around that with movement, condition removal, etc. It's far better to have the Nurses debuff and then accomplice into Reva for the 1-2 punch.
  9. I keep wanting to summon the Rogue Necro; he keeps not being worth it in the long run. It's always late game, and it's either overkill or not worth it.
  10. Hey, as one of the TO's of the Nova Open, welcome! to the region! We're the home of the Malifaux National Championships, and we run a series of events for a metric ton of systems. We'd love to see you there.
  11. I just played my first game with Reva. With her and Vincent's ability to get past armor, Nurses putting that negative twist on people was deadly.
  12. Asking for a friend. I know Shikome can ignore armor, and Reva and Vincent can do so ask well with certain upgrades/actions. Anyone else?
  13. She reminds me of Joan of Arc. Either you view her as a hero or a villian according to your own perspective, but the character is ambiguous at best. And I think that's a good thing.
  14. Anyone have any practical experience with Reva yet? I've yet to put her on the table, but I'm interested in hearing your thoughts.
  15. Does it stop the Hans tactic by sacing the models if the upgrade goes away?
  16. I think I'm going to paint mine like this:
  17. Imagine him with Tara and a buried Killjoy. Move him to a good location at the end of the turn beforehand, get the plus flips in initiative to go first, and then shove killjoy with +flips into melee.
  18. Good lord and butter, I'm excited for those sword fighters.
  19. Reva excites me on the molecular level. She's a wild card that brings a certain anti-glass cannon tech to the faction. I can't wait.
  20. The Shieldbearers are getting Pyramid heads when I get a hold of 'em...
