  1. I was thinking Cassie and some nice quick Performers backed up with Angela and her pushing skills.
  2. What do people think of Colette for Stake a Claim. She has a lot of pushes on a generally quick crew, as well as performers being able to interact whilst engaged - Do people rate her?
  3. I guess using the limb doesn't require many skills, punching someone with it in the most effective way is a bit tricky though. If your FM doesn't let you use it as a normal limb for pugilism without the pneumatic bonus I would call them a Tyrant and hit them with a relic hammer
  4. As a fate master I would allow you to use the higher skill to judge your damage rating as long as they were in one of each other, although others might not be so generous. Ultimately though, the rules as written say the damage is based on your pugilism rank, so a character with pugilism 2 and pneumatic 3 would do damage as a pugilism 2 character with a positive flip.
  5. I would say that you are playing accurately. Pugilism or Martial Arts would decide the damage of the 'weapon', with the stats for a pneumatic weapon on top. Should the arm have a weapon built in that one uses to attack with, one would use the stats most appropriate for that weapon. It is important to remember that ones pneumatic skill has to be within one of the other skill for a character to use the higher skill, so the best thing to do in your case would be to level pugilism as your main skill for damage, and pneumatic one behind it to keep the use of the upgrade.
  6. I generally stick with the TtB versions for Through the Breach or make my own. The second edition versions don't have skills for one. I do not think that one version of the stats needs to be 'canon' though, they are two different stat lines for two different games. If a third game arose (A video game for example) I imagine the Desolation Engine would have yet a third statline, based again on the idea of a tough steampunk monstrosity made up of parts from various bodies and machines.
  7. Trigger I want them both on the first attack - Although the black joker comes up, one still gets the eye marker and the second attack w/o triggers. The free attack nets one damage and another eye marker. Next attack trigger long clawed fingers dealing the rest of the damage and gaining another eye marker.
  8. I used what I suspect will be in Ironsides box. 3 oxfordian mages, mouse, the Captain. I added Johan, because he is always worth it. Both Cap and Toni packed Warding Runes, so it was all about trying to stay in groups in those auras. We were playing Turf War, which Toni shines in. She can get loads of adrenaline for those big groups. Make them suffer was part of the scheme pool, not a bad one for Toni again! She gave up alot of points on it though, due to a lack of minions in her crew. Had I a wider selection I would have considered Union Miners or Gunsmiths, but because I wanted to test the box, I gave away three points there. I won 9 - 8 ib the end. My opponent lost 2 points on turf war, hiding his body guarded Dashel from my crew. I dropped one point when burning killed a minion instead of someone good
  9. I had my first game with the unstoppable force tonight. I played Turf war against Lucius and had great fun! My favourite master is Mei Feng, I was initially worried that Toni and Mei would be very similar. Any one else worried about that, let me assure you otherwise! Toni's pull tricks feel very different to Mei's pushes, and the resource management game keeps you on your toes! Having played her, I can happily say Ironsides feels a very Arcanist master. All the worries I had prior disappeared in play! Toni for president! Vote Toni!
  10. How did your opponent find not being to charge anything but your totem?
  11. Anyone who is looking to arrange a game can always PM me! I need to get into fighting shape for the upcoming Vassal league!
  12. Not alcoholic no - It is gorgeous though, and a good mixer. And made of girders!
  13. This is not a bad idea. I will try to but together a new version tonight.
  14. Do we have to sign up here if we have in the FB group?
  15. I am willing to show people th ropes too, although I am fairly new to Vassal myself.
  16. Okay, so the dude is not suitable outside of his scenario - I thought that might be the case. Is the scenario balanced and fun enough that I could say to an opponent "I would like to try Reathford today. Do you mind if we play Joint Task Force?" Or are people gonna hate being on the receiving end and I would have to wait for it to come up randomly?
  17. I do not have access to crossroads, but dowloaded the preview Scenario cards way back when, including the Master Reathford for use with the Joint Task Force Scenario. He is counted as an Arcanist, and has abilities that interact with Ice Gamin and Frozen heart. Is he effectively an eighth master that can see play if your opponent asgrees to play the Joint Task Force Scenario, or is he just something on the side?
  18. The -5 is straight from the book, -3 for being a large object she can't hold and -2 for being a customized but replaceable peice of gear. Yeah to get the -5 though she will have to be touching the construct. The Martial Arts is a bit much, I was a little focused on using all the points I think. I will lower the Martial Arts to 2, giving the Mannequin the same damage profile it has in the table top game, and add a point of toughness so the poor thing doesn't get instantly smashed to pieces. It should probably have some armor too, but I am not sure due to how armor works in through the breach - Maybe a point? Yeah, the reference to Graceful duet was supposed to refer to Rehearsed duet. The reason I have gone with the ability to run with multiple mannequins was because other people could I suppose, and I didn't want Multi-Tasker to feel like a dead talent. That being said Multi-Tasker still has its initial use of ordering two non mannequin constructs, so should not be a waste really. I think I agree that Lore wise it should be one Mannequin to one showgirl, so might axe that bit. I am a little funny about Graceful assistant as it is as I am not sure it fits with the rest of the pursuit. The other abilities are about linking with the Mannequin and useful to any Showgirl, whereas Graceful assistant sort of traps you into skill at artifice or wasting a talent. I am thinking that I might take your advice and go with All Part of the Show at rank 3, and Expertly Choreographed (Name changed to Mechanical Adorations as in the TTG) at Rank 4 with a new rank five. Rank Five: Magician's Assistant The Showgirls of the Star Theater are some of the best known magicians in all of Malifaux, masters of misdirection and illusion. The Mannequins are vital parts of their performances, standing in as props or assistants when needed. Whenever the Showgirl is targeted with a magical effect, the Showgirl may choose for the Mannequin to be affected as well. The Showgirl also adds one spell or Immuto to her Grimoire that the Mannequin represents. How does that look. I think it fits more with the feel of the Pursuit. The other thing I am worried about is that the Pursuit plays up the Mannequin aspect too much, looking more like a Collodi path than a Collette one. Do people think I could loose some abilities to add Poison Hairpins and Seductive dances, or is it fine as is?
  19. Okay, I am running an Arcanist based game and none of my players fancy the idea of them all being Steam Fitters when it comes to AP time. One of the characters will be going for the December Acolyte Pursuit from WC11, one other is happy to go for the Steam Fitter, as they plan on playing a traditional Tinkerer type character anyhow. The Other Character is planning on playing a gunfighter, maybe taking the Friekopsmann pursuit or maybe we will work on an Arcanist Asset AP based on the Gunsmith and advanced tech. I have pieced together an AP for my performer (Later to be combined with Scrapper and Tinkerer if all goes to plan for her). We will work on the fluff together, but I imagine most people on here know what a showgirl is. For the abilities I so far have. Rank One: Mannequin The Showgirl has a Mannequin constructed for her, counting as both a construct and a grimoire. The Mannequin always has the Teleport, Parlour Tricks and Animate Construct spells and the Focus (Mannequin -5) and Quicken Action Immuto. The Mannequin is Height two with a might and resilience of -1 and a grace and speed of +2. The Mannequin also has an Acrobatics of 3 and a Martial arts of 3. The Mannequin may be used as a focus for the Darlin theory. If this Mannequin is lost, the Showgirl may replace it by paying 100 Scrip. Rank Two: Rehearsed Duet The Showgirl is adept at weaving her actions with those of the Mannequin in a graceful dance. She gains an additional AP which she may use to take an extra Order (1) Action once per turn. This action may only command Mannequins, regardless of how ever many times the Showgirl may have the Multi-Tasker Talent and any other constructs. Rank Three: Graceful Assistant The Showgirl may now create the Mannequin for other showgirls, and any that she builds for herself have increased abilities beyond those of the regular. When a Showgirl spends a construct point to increase a Mannequins grace or acrobatics she may increase those abilities by two points instead, as long as the Mannequin is for her use. Any Height two construct may be designated a Mannequin by paying an extra 20 scrip at creation, which gives it the spells listed in the Mannequin entry. A Showgirl with the Multi-tasker talent may command multiple Mannequins using Graceful Duet, but must have built the Mannequins herself. Rank Four: All Part of the Show The Showgirl is adapt at dancing and weaving around her Mannequin, the two of them seemingly switching places at a moments notice. The Showgirl gains the following trigger to all defensive flips. (Tome) All Part of the Show: When Damage is dealt to this character, a Mannequin in three yard may become the new target of the attack. Any Mannequin the Showgirl activates also gains the effects of the Hard to Wound Talent. Rank Five: Expertly Choreographed The Showgirl and her Mannequins now move in one perfect dance, able to flit and weave through the chaos of battle or the joy of the stage with ease together. When the Showgirl ends a move action within six yards of an active Mannequin it may take a move action to move closer to her. What do you guys think. Too powerful, not powerful enough.
  20. "I ask for nothing master," "And you will receive it in abundance!" Hmmmm - I wonder if I could paint up a Frank N Furter Leveticus
  21. The keyword that interests me is Gamin - a couple of models have this keyword and yet nothing interacts with it - an upcoming Gamin master?
  22. All the wave 1 models are in the main rulebook. All the wave 2 models are free online. I genuinely don't see the problem.
  23. I use them for McCabe. I know he isn't a pirate, but I like the way it looks
  24. As far as 2. goes I have found the ability to guesstimate lists to be a great boon at the start of the game. It works both ways though, if you know that your opponent knows you as the construct guy then you can start figuring out counters to johan and tealor. Guessing what is going into your opponents list gets easier the more you play with them too, so it is not something to worry about too much.
