  1. Count me in. I will post up some pics later tonight.
  2. There's a few guys that play at the uni games club that have been coming along.
  3. Ok guys we had this question come up last week and I am hoping for some clarification. Hoffman activated and then gave the Powerloop condition to a construct. Hoffman was then killed. My question is does the contruct keep the Powerloop condition for the rest of the game as the wording on the card is - Feedback: When this model Activates, this model and target Construct within 3” receive this Condition until this model’s next Activation: “Power Loop: At the start of a duel, this model may use the printed numerical Df, Wp, Ca, Sh, or Ml (ignoring suits) from another friendly model with Power Loop instead of its own.” My guess would be yes the condition remains as Hoffman is dead and will not activate again. Conditions are normally removed at the end of the turn unless specified otherwise and the wording for Feedback would suggest otherwise. Any thoughts?
  4. When: Wednesday nights from 13th May - 3rd April 6:30pm start Where: Ace Comics Annerley How Much: $5 entry with all money going towards prizes The league will run each Wednesday night over 4 weeks with only one game per League night being eligible to score achievements. At registration you will receive an Achievement Tracker which has a list you can do to score points. Some of these can only be scored once during the league and others can be scored each week. When you gain an achievement have your opponent sign off on it and then bring it to myself at the end of the night to initial. Please do not lose these sheets as it is not fair on other players to repopulate the sheet from memory. Keep in mind that you do not have to win your games to win the league, just have the most points. Achievements can range from painting a new model to buying something from the store so there are plenty of ways to score points. Please note that this is meant to be a fun event and some people travel long distances (sometimes over an hour) to play. With that in mind I ask that all players complete all games that they start unless the opponent agrees with your request to declare the game. It's not always possible to get another game once everyone has found an opponent. Proxies will be allowed for all models from the Wave 3 beta but you must have the most up-to-date rule card. FORMAT Each week, players in the League will play one of the other League participants in an attempt to gain achievements. It is highly encouraged that players not play against the same opponent for two games in a row. Games will not be subject to a time limit but must be completed before the store closes which is usually 10:30pm. Determine Encounter Size o Week 1: 26 soulstones, Master-led only o Week 2: 30 soulstones, Master-led only o Week 3: 40 soulstones, Master-led only o Week 4: 50 soulstones, Master-led only Announce Factions You may only choose the Faction you declared for the League. Determine Deployment Standard Deployment only. GAINING ACHIEVEMENTS At the end of each game, have your opponent sign off on any achievements you completed on your Achievement Tracker. Talk to your Organizer (me) once complete and let them see and initial those achievements. Only one game per League night is eligible to score Achievements. SCORING At the end of the League, total up the point value of all achievements you completed and write it on the front of your Achievement Tracker. Only those achievements signed by your opponent and initialed by the Organizer count toward this total, and the Organizer should not be expected to initial any achievements now that the League is over. The player with the most points is the League winner. In the case of a tie, it goes to whichever player had the most achievements. If it is still a tie, then the players should split first and second prize amicably. Please let me know if you have questions.
  5. We had a great night on Wednesday with 10 players participating and a few new faces. Here is a wrap up of the night. Photos added for Carl's viewing pleasure. Placings are as follows - Round results were as follows - Sam took out first place with Stu and Rowan in 2nd and 3rd due to their game finishing in a tie. Layla and Jason were randomly drawn and received a voucher for Ace Comics. Speaking of ties we had 3 in round 3 for a total of 5 tied games for the night. My favourite game of the night was in round 3 when Cam and Jason were finishing up the final activation. Jason shot into engagement and managed to hit Cam's Snowstorm which killed him getting him 3 assassinate points. The kick in the nuts was when Snow Storm exploded also killing Kang and netting Cam 3 VP for Assassinate. We ended up mainly with Arcanist players with 2 Snowstorm led crews and 2 led by Joss. There was also Kang, Dashel, Ryle, Madame Sybelle, Francisco and Mancha Roja. It was a great event and I will try and arrange another one soon.
  6. There will be a Hardcore tournament held on Wednesday 15th April at Ace Comics Annerley. This will follow Wyrd's official alternate tournament format which can be found here - http://wyrd-games.net/community/files/file...nament-formats/ Details are as follows: Where: Ace Comics and Games, Shop 18 Annerley Arcade, 478 Ipswich Road, Annerley, 4103 When: Wednesday 15th April. Registration is at 6:30pm and games will start no later than 7pm. Who: Please PM me to book your spot as this is limited to 12 people. How Much: $5 which is payable on the night. All money will go into prize support. Why: There will be a prize for 1st place and then 2 other randomly determined prizes depending on attendance. This is just a fun event and all participants will have an equal chance of winning the remaining 2 prizes. Even if you are new to Malifaux, please don't let the tournament tag put you off. Please note that Wave 3 beta released models will not be allowed. Wave 1 and 2 releases only. Please check for current errata to any models you will be using - http://wyrd-games.net/community/files/file/21-malifaux-2e-faq-errata/ Henchman Hardcore is different from standard Malifaux in the following ways: • All Crews must be led by a Henchman, not a Master. • The game size is 20 Soulstones. • All Crews must contain exactly 4 models, no more, no less. • Upgrades may be purchased, as allowed by the standard rules of Malifaux. • The size of a Crew’s Soulstone Pool is limited by the Cache of the Henchman leading it; any Soulstones above this amount are discarded. • Any Actions, Abilities, or Triggers which summon models are considered to be “blank” (they may not be used and have no effect on the game, as if they were not printed on the model). • Only one Scheme will be available. • The same Crew must be used in each round of the event. All rounds use the following set up: • Deployment: Close. • Strategy: Hardcore Turf War. This Strategy uses the Turf War rules (Core Rulebook pg. 66) with the exception that VP may be scored on the first Turn. • Scheme Pool: Assassinate (Core Rulebook pg. 68). This is the only Scheme available and it must always be taken. • All round times are 30 minutes. If you have any questions please feel free to PM me. Registered:
