  1. I'll be running an open play event for Malifaux from 12:30pm until 6pm. There is no cost for this event, and i'll have a couple of items to give away at the end of the event. Anyone who comes in for a demo has a chance to win a "Shadows of Redchapel" box set, and for any one just there to game I have some Nightmare edition models I'll be raffling off based on games played. If you got the itch to play more after that demo, I'll also have several spare crews with me. So stop by and cheat some fate. Gamezilla 1211 Prospect Street Fredericton NB E3B 3B9
  2. Figured I'd check and see if anyone is interested here since I'm not getting a lot of bites locally. Have a bunch of metal Neverborn kicking around that I'd like to move. A decent portion has already been switched to plastic so figured I'd just try to convert it all. -Lilith -3 Terror Tots -Cherub -Zoraida -3 Silurids -Bad Juju -Voodoo Doll -Pandora -Baby Kade -Poltergeist -3 Sorrows -Candy -Primordial Magic -Doppelganger -Teddy -2 Young Nephilim -Mature Nephilim -Lelu -Lilitu -Coppelius -2 Stitched Together -Black Blood Shaman -Insidious Madness Have relevant M2E cards for all models (Minus general Neverborn upgrades from the faction decks). If you really wanted them, I could see if I have the 1.5 cards still around. Looking for $100+Shipping for the entire lot. Never done a long distance sale before, so expect a slow rocky process if interested
  3. Going to try use this Thread to get my campaign ideas organized. For anyone unaware the No Evil was a bar used in a narrative campaign I ran a while back, with Mr"C" being based on an in joke with my locals. While I await for confirmation on what events exactly lead to the execution of Mr."C" by order of the judge during last year's Gencon I get free reign on how my rowdy barman runs his little slice of the city. As I described it to the real Mr."C", "I don't know how you fucked up, but you did it spectacularly." Anyway my current set of fated are a female Drudge with an affinity for Longrifles and explosives, a burly Grave Robber, and a fast talking chain wielding Wastral, and possibly going up to a fourth. Still working out how to better weave their fates into the disjointed adventures I have planned. So far we've only done a quick adlibbed one shot more for me to get used to the mechanics, and to help familiarize one player with setting. The main things learned were to redo the profile I did on the fly for a chain, and adlibing is hard. Also going to give my players one last cahnce to go over their choices from character creation to think about what skills they're characters would know based on their history. For introduction I plan to start the part on a train, because when you really want to railroad your players put them on trains. Originally I had this train Earthside but this made some of the magic I had planned possibly awkward to use. Now I have this train as a freshly finished station at a mining town called Silverwood. With the town up and running, and the station finally connected business should boom in the town with a somewhat safer connection to the city. With their contracts finished and debts payed off the fated are looking forward to seeing what passes for civilisation again. Their are more details to this I'm ommiting mostly because they're still in the work, but I think should work as a good way to justify why the fated are together and a conflict to unite them. To any of my players who do follow the forums, their are consequences to divining fate.
  4. Tara and Leveticus are professional mercenaries/contractors. Jack and Hamelin share no allegiance to any faction, though you can argue Hamelin leads the Rat Catchers who are mercenaries. Jack is the biggest outlier of faction theming, but Jack never has any allegiance. He hates the Guild considering most of the them are the source of his rage, he hates the Neverborn (both regular and swamp variety) for what they did to him, pretty sure he's not the biggest fan of the Resurrectionists, and the 10T and Arcanists wouldn't be able to control him. Outcasts have always been the faction of "left-overs" more or less. If it doesn't fit somewhere else its an outcasts. We have an over-arching theme though of individuals only out for personal gain for the most part, or working towards goals that don't meld with other factions. Jack fits this profile since Jack doesn't care about anything other then being vengeance incarnate.
  5. Good thing physical model height doesn't matter at all.
  6. With almost every master having some kind of synergy these lists are actually a lot harder to do in this edition. I think this is a good thing since we don't have as many "you must take this every game" choices any more.
  7. Still pretty sure Convict Gunslinger is one of the best models any player can own.
  8. Haven't really done much dual faction in M2E yet. Used to always run Jakob as 10T in 1.5 for Scheme schoices, but switched to Neverborn for the better upgrade options. For most masters the core of what you want to take is always available regardless of a faction. This helps since it really only comes down to upgrade choices and filler pieces as to what will benefit you. To my knowledge McMourning is the only master who has a real palystyle change depending on the faction you take.
  9. With the number of plastic kits out now it would help if their was some way to either narrow the list down by faction, or impliment a search function to find specific kits.

Haven't taken a solid look at their rules yet, but a little bummed the old War Rooster model is still a War pig instead of a Rooster Rider in the Gaining Ground rules. That could change though. War Cock is still a far more amusing term than Cock Rider. To drag this thing back on topic, I'm assuming I'm going to want to stick the lads in green over our more animalistic options. Mainly to take advantage of her old classic of Aim High.

Unlikely. Box will probably be Mah, Lass, Trixie, and 3 Bushwhackers.

So now that the Kin finally got their releases, I'm actually looking at where I should go with Gremlins. Currently I own the following Kin box Burt Wong (Woo model type changes /sarcasm) War pig Whiskey Golem Zoraida box Som'er box is the logical expansion, along with Gracie to round out the Book 4 trio. After that its waiting for releases and rereleases before there is a lot of options. Always dug the Lacrioxs in 1.5, and its seems they've swpped roles with the Ortegas. Now the Ortegas want to stack Family, while the Kin are more free form.
  13. Just so you don't over value you it too high, the pledge level was $225, not $500.
  14. I did the same. Bottom was fairly loose on mine when I noticed and was able to spread it open enough to slide it into place. Just snip the block off the end and you can probably fit it into the hole easily.
  15. Weird, I have confirmation for two of my orders a week ago, but still waiting for the two others. They're all back in the 19200 ranges.
  16. I'd rather them not go back to being superior hanged. Feels chintzy when you go "I get to play with larger based hanged than you because I paid $X". Unfortunetly there are not a lot of options for non-rare 50mm models.
  17. Ht is supposed to be pre-defined for each terrain piece when setting up a table. When in doubt I believe rule of thumb is 1 inch is Ht1 for the purpose of terrain.
  18. My money is on the depleted. He's a cool guy, and doesn't afraid of anything.
  19. Thinning with only water can be risky since you;ll eventually start to break the paint down with too much. Going with an acrylic medium is the best bet when going with really thin paint. Pledge Floor wax works as an easy to find alternative (the one with Future shine), and makes your models smell clean.
  20. The only way they are usable in Malifaux is based on the Gaining grounds proxy and conversion rules, which are largely TO discretion. Being that the Multi-pose models are Wyrd product they meet the requirement of 2/3rds of the model being created by Wyrd. As long as you have it on its legal base, clearly indicate what it is, and have it approved by a TO its legal to use with Malifaux. Seriously, what will it take for people to get over this thing. I wasn't aware they went and kicked your dog as part of the pledge fulfillment.
  21. Another benefit of the arsenal decks if you're going solo faction is it lets you know what other models do before buying. Its cheaper to get the pocket book and the two arsenal decks for your faction, than the two main rulebooks. The big books still have their benefits in fluff, and extra scenarios. Terrain is a trial and error process. I played with stuff drawn on line paper for months when I started, and terrain density almost goes on a game to game basis. It usually takes a few games to figure out a sweet spot for the majority of crew matchups.
  22. Assuming you have a post-update Thunder box you won't need a Wave 1 arsenal deck to simply play. You will need it for the 10T (and Outcast if you want to paly that way) general upgrades. The pre-release decks for the webstore sold out very early. You'll be able to get one again when they go general release (likely September releases).
  23. In the process of redoing my old Malifaux on a budget threads, but thinking I may just compile that info into the "Starting Malifaux" portions of PMF. Still waiting for a lot of crew box and model info before I can really redo it, but I can at least start the basic over view of what to consider for your initial purchases.
  24. I don't feel so bad about getting a second Miss Terious instead of Santana now. Still got a ticket submitted to get that sorted out.
  25. The worst part of using this so far has been getting my pc to recognize my phone. Apparently the top ports of the tower are temperamental.
