  1. Can anyone estimate the cost of shipping the posters in the states? I assume (hope) they will be shipped in poster tubes. I also assume that will add to the costs. Trying to make sure I have enough for my plans.
  2. Howdy folks! That's right....not only is the Wyrd Blackfridaythanksgivingholidaywyrdbirthdayapalooza happening next week. But, registration for the Midwest's coolest miniature gaming convention opens on Monday November 21 at 8pm CST. I have assembled a fantastic team of Tournament Organizers for this year and we have a huge amount of Wyrd stuff for you all to do this year: 1) Meet and Greet and Cake Match: We always start Adepticon with a party. This is it. All day Thursday we have our gaming tables setup for open play as well as our Cake Match. That's right...we said cake. The cake is real. We encourage everyone to get their baking on and bring their tastiest baked goods for the judges to test their endocrine systems in an attempt to find the BEST CAKE of 2017! Malifaux themes are encouraged and awarded points for theme. But, taste is the real deal. 2) Costume contest: like to get your cosplay on? Every day, I will select the best Malifaux themed costume I see that day to come back Sunday and compete for cheers from the crowd in order to select the winner. Want to stand the best chance? Bring a costume for each day. Team tournament also has an award for costumes this year. 3) Gaslight Achievement League: The scavenger hunt of AdeptiCon. Lots of achievements to check off your list. Some serious. Some goofy. Some challenging. Some easy. Every Wyrd game you participate in counts towards the Achievement list. 4) Henchman Hardcore: HH format makes it's return this year on Thursday afternoon. Do you thnk you know the best Henchman team? Come find out! Justin Dexter will make sure you guys have a great time. 5) Enforcer Brawl: another new addition last year makes it's return. One model. Everyone can do that right? But, which is the greatest Enforcer out there? Better bring your best! Victoria Myer Hrenda is the Stadium master for this event 6) Through the Breach One Shots: Making it's inaugural debut at AdeptiCon. That's right. We are bringing Roleplaying to AdeptiCon. We will have a different One Shot adventure each day. So, if you have wanted to try it out, now is your chance. 7) Team Tournament: A favorite of AdeptiCon. Find a buddy and team up against the toughest competition out there. Make your weirdest or cheeziest combo and see how it stacks up. Cheryl and Kevin Kucharski are teaming up to make sure this event challenges everyone. More info can be found on the Team Tournament Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/245375925877815/?ref=group_browse_new 8) Master of Malifaux Tournament: A big draw for Malifaux at AdeptiCon. The first North American big event. This is the event for those looking to test their Master mettle against the heavy hitters of North America. Bret Rice and John Hartigan are heading the big daddy of AdeptiCon. 9) Story Encounter: Tired of heavy competition on Sunday? Looking to just have some fun playing original strategies written with a theme before heading home? This is the event for you. Joe Deheve is penning the tales to tantalize you again this year. 10) Demos, Demos and more demos!: We have have every game that Wyrd produces for you to try out in the Malifaux Hall. So, stop on by and give Evil Baby Orphanage, Showdown Icons, Jetpack Unicorn, Puppet Wars, Through the Breach, Malifaux, or Darkness Comes Rattling a try. 11) Wyrd Booth: Wyrd will once again be joining us in the vendor hall. Stop by their booth and say hey to the Wyrd crew that joins us this year. Oh and make sure to pick up the latest release for your games 12) Cool Wyrd Folk: Not sure who will be joining us from Wyrd yet. But, in the past we have had Kelly, Aaron, Mason and others from staff no longer with the company (hey Drew! Hey Zee!) hang with us and share insight into the games and the company and just have some laughs. 13) Prize Support: Each year we have great sponsors. Prize support has come from great companies like : Wyrd (of Course!), Knuckledusters Miniatures, Angry Mojo, Mats By Mars, Dice Dojo, Games Plus, KR MultiCase, Secret Weapon Miniatures and many more. Ticketing has changed this year. The weekend ticket has dropped in price! This is due to the swag bag now being an add-on item rather than an auto include for the first 1000. There are still a limited number of swag bags and they are still worth far more than the cost. Also, the ticketing system has been improved so if an items sells out before completing checkout it does not make you start from scratch. The items that are still available will be charged and your order completed. You can then go back in and fill gaps. Items do sell out fast. So, make sure to jump in early and register fast for the items you absolutely want to get in on and then go back and figure gap fillers out when you have more time. Whew! That really is a lot when you list it all out like that. And there even some other companies that have stuff going on and awesome hobby seminars. 4 days of awesome! Come join us. http://www.adepticon.org/
  3. Howdy all. I am considering adding some Through the Breach events at AdeptiCon this year. We already have one scheduled for Thursday. But, I am thinking of offering one each day. So, questions: 1) I can run one 2-3 hour session each day. Do you think running one shots only is the best option or alternating character creation sessions and one shots every day? 2) If you have run or participated in any of the One Shots, which is your favorite for beginners?
  4. It was an October release....Wyrd's month's mean end of the month. So, last week of October it should have been on store shelves. Wyrd gives the store 4-6 weeks to sell copies before putting the items on their own website. PDF's follow shortly after that usually. So, expect December sometime would be my guess for the PDF.
  5. May not be out yet. Usually comes out around the time they get it in the Wyrd Webstore. Which is usually 4-6 weeks after the stores have it on the shelves.
  6. Wyrd celebrates the creation of their company in November with a pretty big webstore event. But, if you are in the Chicago area and would like to gather with fellow Wyrdos...er....Wyrdites....errr people who dig Wyrd, then Chicagoland Games (aka Dice Dojo has the event for you. We will be running: 1) A 1 round 50SS Malifaux event which can count for the Worldwide event. Starting at 11am. Registration starts at 10am. Strat and schemes to be announced at the event. Wyrd Prize Kit will be in effect. 2) Darkness Comes Rattling Games and Demos 3) Through the Breach Demos 4) Malifaux Demos 5) Probably can talk Sean into pretty much any Game Wyrd has made. He will bring them. The event will be held from 10am-5pm. Come celebrate being Wyrd with us at Chicagoland Games (aka Dice Dojo) 5550 N. Broadway Chicago, IL 60618 If you would like to sign up for any of the events, you can do so here or on our Facebook Group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/1640756712835354/
  7. Fated almanac is common knowledge in my campaign. People have heard rumors and there are of course reporters spinning things. So people would have heard of Gremlins and Neverborn.
  8. I don't recall any description of thickness of the Breach. It is composed of energy. So it would be up to the Fatemaster to decide and describe to the players. The mechanical construct around the energy that is used to stabilize the energies would definitely have some mass though. Again, no specs that I have seen of yet.
  9. Not sure what page you are referring to and what book. But healing on page 218 of the Fated Almanac says a character can make a healing flip once per day if the character is able to sleep at least 6 hours. Then there are people with the doctor skill on the same page. Then there is magical healing discussed on page 234 under the enchanting magia. So, yes there are requirements and AP costs involved.
  10. Moonshine still. Fallen trees. Stolen guild supply crates.
  11. Not sure when it hit shelves. But usually a month after that.
  12. Really a question of how your group likes to play. I keep my players relatively poor so they are malleable lol. They can scavenge quite a bit. But, they will end up selling a bit of their gear to survive unless they find steady employment or patrons for their adventures. It gives them a reason to go look for sponsors. Soulstones are very hard to obtain and keep (if the soulstone is too useful, I have had them stolen by NPCs). Grimoires are extremely valuable and the character would rather die than give theirs up. Scrip is basic living mostly. I assume they are able to find enough scrip somewhere to find basic housing and food. Anything above that, they need to work or barter for. But, that is the kind of playstyle my group requires as they are a little slow on the uptake for clues sometimes and they prefer roleplay struggles over endless card flipping. Your mileage may vary. I would suggest starting high on the cost of living scale and tone it down weekly until you have a balance that works for your campaign.
  13. Yes. Misprint. It is in the pdf version as well just pick one to be masks.
  14. How folks. Sundays at Dice Dojo (aka Chicagoland Games http://www.chicagolandgames.com/ ) are Malifaux Days. I will be available for demos of all the Wyrd Games and we are registered for the Divergent Path Worldwide event. We welcome everyone to come by and meet some new friends. If you'd like to set up a game before showing up, you can do so on our facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/1640756712835354/ Store opens at 10am and closes at 7pm. I am there from 10am until about 3pm unless people let me know they need a later demo through the facebook page. Once a month I also run a terrain clinic day and a paint/assembly clinic day as well as a GG2016 event. Find out more info on these date on the Facebook page.
  15. Yep. One shot. But quite a few puppet NPC's in it.
  16. The penny Dreadful "No Strings" actually is about Puppets. It would be a good starting point. No Collodi unfortunately.
  17. https://matsbymars.com/collections/36-x-36-mats/products/mats-by-mars-shattered-soil-tabletop-wargaming-play-mat?variant=8144636485
  18. Love it! But I know some. People who would whine that there is too much blocking terrain taking up the table. Are you planning on scatter as well?
  19. Generally the Upcoming is pretty good. But, stuff happens. As for th Iconic Deck, there was a printing snag with the initial batch that came out at GenCon. So, there is likely a delay while they correct the misprint and get the batch reprinted and then shipped to the warehouse. But, I have seen the other August Releases on the shelves. The items usually arrive in most places other than the Wyrd site at the end of the scheduled month. Wyrd put them on their site about a month after the stores have had a chance to sell them.
  20. Sure one can squidge whichever way they want to make their campaigns work the way they need to of course. Pure math works for the GenCon teddy is all I am saying.
  21. Also bear in mind that unless you are abstracting base movement through doors, the doors will need to be wide to allow for bases to move through them.
