I'm a little ADHD loving Seamus, McMourning and now Leveticus, they are all fun to play and that is the most important thing for me. I am painting up some crews from other factions too just for variety and to give new players a bit of choice too (Lady J, Ramos and Dreamer)

Very nice crew you have there. I especially like LCB busting the floorboards, you have really made that pose work well

I will have echo the sentiments above, looks good so far.

For me the Lady J v Seamus is one of the best beginning match ups and whilst the Death Marshalls are good vs Ressers they arent OP vs Seamus plus it helps in really setting up a story between the crews and it can be quite easy to immerse others into the world of Malifaux as each crews motivations can be easily mapped

I would follow what the pink man said , having played Seamus an awful lot, he doesnt really miss the convict gunslinger. I would change to either Sybelle or an Onryo and consider the grave spirit instead of copycat killer (i know its hard since hes such a cool little model!) The grave spirit gives great tanking ability for either the hanged or sybelle and the Onryo can help get around the WP centric or Immune to Influence minions with one of her spells, plus combos with a hanged well too. Keep having fun and keep us posted

I play to win (ideally) but of primary concern is to have fun (both for me and my opponent) and in such a character filled game its almost impossible not to have fun. I enjoy having to think around situations and playing tactically also

Well I got sick of typing 'one second of insanity' for other forum log ins so I have slowly been changing it to osoi, which is actually Japanese for slow which is is quite ironic as I am normally an incredibly slow painter however Malifaux has changed this for me.

I wasnt really banking on the Hanged being slain, they are absolute tanks when linked to the grave spirit and I was thinking with the Onryo giving him Immediate Revenge it makes it an even more difficult choice whether or not to shoot him as he is now a spirit with armour 2 and will basically be inflicting 1 wound back on you for every shot that you take.

I manged to sneak home from work today and now have pics of ... Bete Noir! The photo isn't the best because she is so dark and the room was so light. She was really fun to paint and only took 20-30min in total and is the first mini that I have tried to do in a very limited colour palette and I'm pretty happy with how she came out.

I have been thinking of late on how to expand my Seamus crew and generally finding what he struggles against. In my search I have had a long hard look at the Onryo and what they offer him. Another Terrifying Model (albeit only 10) Immediate Revenge for a friendly Spirit (a Hanged) A way around Immune to Influence with Jiguko (sp?) A way to ignore armour (albeit with only a low to moderate damage curve) I can really see them comboing quite well with the rest of the crew and can give a different slant and can really go to town on crews in the WP department where they were previously safe eg hitting an Immune to Influence model with Jiguko then the Hanged or luring them around the board as well. a 25ss sample crew I have come up with is: Seamus Grave Spirit Rotten Belle Rotten Belle Hanged Onryo 5ss cache Its a little light on model wise but is quite durable. I would like to hear others thoughts on this.

I know what you mean they are something that I'm not quite happy with but I'm going to wait until the crew is all done and see if I want to redo them or not Cheers for all the positive feedback so far, Bete Noir is done but I didnt have good enough light to take pics. plus I think Jack and the Hanged are getting bumped up on priority

Well now for an update Zombie Hookers! and the crew so far Sybelle and Bete Noir are almost finished and then I'm on to the good doctor and a bit of his crew then Jack Daw and a couple of Hanged

I use Iyanden darksun (GW foundation) for the base (especially when over a black undercoat) I then use Ochre Brown and Yellow Ochre (Vallejo) for highlights with final highlights of bleached bone and menoth white base to tie it all together I use the GW gryphonne sepia wash. This is all very similar to my NMM gold mixture too. Heres an example without as much layering as it was just a test piece

I know how you feel I know I'm the only one who actively plays Seamus and McMourning at the moment and I know I'm about to loose that soon. Unfortunately Rath Z is looking more and more as being the next choice, maybe even adding Collodi when he arrives, I'll try and not tread on your toes too much
