Demonn Agram
Hmm.. the details arent sharp enough. And with a little effort (clay or green stuff) you can do sooo much better bases. The plastic used here reminds me of GW plastic Woods set (the base of the woods). Also they are too flat. Mage
Been spending the last while looking through the thread - awesome and inspirational stuff! I really need to get in gear with my painting.
Viruk
I somehow managed to resist temptation and didn't back this project but the minis look awesome and the fluff is interesting too. Good point about pics of painted minis in rulebook - I also miss them in M2E book.
Demonn Agram
Here's a little report I did on an exhibition my club organized this week... Exhibition of Miniatures and Tabletop Scenery Agram 2014Event date: 26 February 2014, 18:00h - 9 March 2014, 10:00h Dwarves, orks and aliens in glass cases in Vladimir Horvat Gallery A representation of eleven years of work of one of the most awarded associations in Zagreb For the eight year running, UMS Agram organizes an Exhibition of miniatures and tabletop scenery in celebration of our birthday. It is held in the Vladimir Horvat Gallery in Zagreb's Community of Technical Culture on Trg žrtava fašizma 14, Zagreb. The grand opening was held on wednesday February 26 at 18.00. The exhibition shows a retrospective of our work with the emphasis on the fantasy, sci-fi miniatures assembled and painted by our member. Along with over a hundred miniatures, there are also a great number of terrain pieces hand made by our members. During the exhibition there will also be a demo of the Malifaux tabletop wargame. To accompany the demo, this year we decided to put an emphasis on Malifaux, a cool game set in 19th century parallel world that mixes Victorian London, Wild West, Orient all wrapped up in Steampunk setting. Also, we dedicated a part of the Exhibition to our prolific member, Ana Polanšćak, and her blog Gardens of Hecate where she describes how she makes her wonderful scenery and miniatures set in dark middle ages ravaged by plague and various mythological creatures inspired by the crews of Malifaux.

zFiend
It's really humane looking.. Which makes it kinda disturbing. Well done! The "wires" are amazing!
Demonn Agram
thanks! they are done by Model Mates Rust and Model Mates Yellow Rust. the background was done using Model Mates Blue Verdigris. (if you're interested check out www.modelmates.co.uk) all these are really really cool weathering effects that are really easy to use! I've written a review as a part of my series of articles about the Malifaux modular gaming board in the last issue of Figure Painter Magazine (and there will be another one in the upcoming issue... which reminds me I need to write that article LOL)

Wings
The metals and weathering really look fantastic, and the skin manages to work really well with them. It's nice to see something painted by you again!
monkeyboy30672
My uncle, who lives near Chicago, paints model trains for commission work. He uses very similar weathering effects, and they make the subject VERY realistic!! You have done the same here! Incredibly impressive!
Mako
Man, I'm so glad I bombed out of the WaMP contest, you'd have kicked my ass! Sweet work D. You've also reminded me that I should really get that box set some time...
Demonn Agram
thanks guys (and gal ) nice to be back. Mako, I'm sure Nathan will give you at least a 2,5% discount if you ask him nicely (and don't mention people with large feet and red noses that wear to much makeup)
Lussuria
Wow, that contest peice is mind blowing!! So incredibly effective. Love the rust and blood effects. Really bring the scenery to life around the mini!

Demonn Agram
thanks guys... here's my next project, it's a cool little bust from Phlegyas Art that I'd like to do a bit different: seems to me that it just screams to be made into a jack-in-a-box. (Viruk, you might recognize the box LOL)... anyway, I'd like to put something on his head. question is what? that's where you guys (will hopefully) come in. I'm open to suggestions... (so far I'm leaning towards a fez )
SpiralngCadavr
If he's popping out, a hat would be launched off... dunno if realism is a factor.
Demonn Agram
realism in a jack-in-a-box? it's not an issue... plus if the cap/hat (any kind I choose in the end) looks way off, I can always add a string under his chin to hold it in place... Viruk
I do recognize that one Can't think of anything particular for the guy's head, I'd ask Zkotte, he's git a twisted mind full of nice ideas for conversions
