  1. I like the king empire as a TOS faction. I'm just saying that bringing them to Malifaux could be hurtful for the company image since it's bring back some real trauma from the real world... Also the guild play this role perfectly without all the affect linked to the British colonization.
  2. Oh yeah! I never understood how to put together Madness 1 (I honestly think that I lost a part somewhere) and got to sculpt a part of his back in Milliput... I also had to literally cut and reassemble madness 3 mouth because I did a mistake in the order in wich you're supposed to glue the parts... They well deserved their name.
  3. I wouldn't be to proud of that to be honest... Maybe, just maybe , it's not a sound marketing choice to put forward the colonialist endeavour of the British Empire in a brave new world 😜
  4. My opponent his playing Kirai 2... According to @Maniacal_cacklevideo it's the best choice for this round His list : kirai 2 (whisper) + ugly ghost totem Datsue Ba Anna Lost love Gwisin x2 Onto Seishin 4ss I'm no reader player but this look solid. I'm playing Dreamer 2 Insomniac kid + giant monster Widow Lady Y Serena Madness Stitch x2 Daydream 4ss At least terrifying is good against his crew! Since this is a resser thread, feel free to comment o the matchup from the Kirai player perspective. I think it will be a fun one!
  5. Maybe I'm the minority here, but I don't think it will help new players. It's marginally quicker than reading the cards but you don't understand what the master want to achieve. I really like that kind of summary to have an overview of a faction. I think it can help advance player to do more accurate strategic choices.
  6. Oh yeah! I'm a big madness fan and as I said numerous time I think they're legit OOK pick in Neverborn. Especially in something like Leyline. Disembodied voice is good and benefit from the new distracted rules, basically stripping up to 3 focus from your opponent. Also there sculpt is so cool. I had a blast painting them.
  7. I'm playing against Kirai. I selected Dreamer. We should make it to the beginning of turn 3 if we play fast 🤣.
  8. Well done for someone that describes himself as a painter not a player 🤣. I'm glad that you played Dora and won on r3. Especially against Seamus (I don't like this matchup with Dora usually... Seamus can circle around your bubble, deleting on model each turn wich is really annoying). Mama Z is an absolute blast to play, and I'm curious to see what you'll do with her special edition in your own very personal style (my own witches are lost somewhere in the mail 😪).
  9. Alright, my bad. This is me not being familiar enough with titles yet. Still you can play around it by positioning outside of the threat range. I mean, if you k ow what is going on (unlike me obviously 😋), the board is 36x36...
  10. I like outflank for Z. She's probably the best NB master to score it and it's coming from the left flank so it could be a nice tool in the right pool. But yeah, it's debatable (most of the time something like research mission will be easier to score). For assassinate, it's a tough one since I tried to look mostly at the scheme you want to pick (not the one you're the best denying)... but I agree Nekima doesn't like an assassinate pool (and we have far superior NB master to both score and denied it). What would be your #5 for Nekima? Also where are the Lucius, Marcus and Euripides player to help me to complete this list 😀
  11. @AdranI understood what you meant about Changeling... I just think they're not a really good road block against 33... 24" needs setup. The OP said it was first turn first activation... But even with a 24" reach you can play around it on t1.
  12. Stat 3 pine box is no joke (especially with LJ to extend its range, less so with 0" in a Tara crew)... Still something must have gone terribly wrong when positioning if your master was vulnerable to that on the first activation of the game! 33 threat range is 12"... Shouldn't be to hard to play around it.
  13. 33 is incorporeal... it's hard to place properly to protect from him... Especially with a Changeling with no engagement 😀
  14. I was commenting this thread : And I realized that when I select a master I obviously want the strategy and deployment to fit his playstyle (but that often leaves several option) but I also want to see at least 2 but ideally 3+ top 5 scheme for that master... So let's talk about those. This is my take for all NB masters (bear in mind that I do not play all of them, so I'll list them by my most played to my least played master). Zoraida 1)Baith and switch, 2)Catch and Release, 3) assassinate, 4) Vendetta, 5) Outflank Pandora 1) Let them bleed; 2) Claim Jump; 3) Assassinate; 4) Hidden Martyrs; 5) Baith and Switch. Dreamer 1) Vendetta; 2) Claim Jump; 3) Research Mission; 4) Assassinate; 5) Breakthrough (this one can be surprising, please discuss). Titania 1) Research Mission; 2) Hidden Martyrs; 3) Assassinate; 4) Vendetta; 5) Death Bed (you'll need Aeslin). Nekima 1) Let them Bleed; 2) Hidden Martyrs; 3) Vendetta; 4) Cath and Release; 5) Assassinate (Nephilim certainly have the tool for thos one, but you're probably trading points, since Nekima is likely to die as well... I would consider an other keyword if Assassinate is in the pool). *** Disclaimer : I don't really play the masters below *** Marcus 1) Catch and Release; 2) Hidden Martyrs; 3) Breakthrough; 4) Cath and Release; 5) Vendetta. Euripides 1) Death Bed; 2) Research Mission; 3) Let them Bleed; ??? Lucius No idea. Please comment. As you can see I do not feel really confident about the scheme for the master I have less than 5 game play with... But event for my most played master, there was tough choices. As a faction we are great at killy scheme of course. We have amazing versatile claim jumper. It's more difficult for us to place a lot of scheme markers (Spread is tough). Even though I think Euripides and Titania like death bed enough, I think it's by far the hardest scheme to score this GG.
  15. Great scenario for Z. Imo Flank/Symbols is the best combination for her. All the scheme are solid. B&S, Vendetta and C&R are top 5 scheme for Z. If you don't have Z, my next choices are Nekima and Dreamer (I prefer the little kid here, but it's a matter of playstyle). Marcus can probably do well in this pool too, I just don't have a lot of experience with him. I would go for Titania. She goes out of corner relatively fast. She's hard to take down (if you don't want her to die, your opponent will have a hard time assassinating her). She has decent pseudo 3 ap models for break the line. Research mission, Assassinate and Hidden Martyrs (Gorar + a beater) are top 5 scheme for her. She can do Breakthrough but I wouldn't go for spread (especially in an ap intensive strat like BTL). Just be careful with your underbrush placement if you think your oponent has research mission. You have a lot of option here, since most of our masters work well in turf and Vendetta + claim jump are great for NB (we have amazing versatile cliamjumper). Euripides seems good (it opens death bed). Titania and Z will do just fine again. But my pet choice would be Dora. I love her in a center brawl. Claim jumbo with Emissary or Serena. Use an Aversion to clear the centre. Dora and Candy will do the killing. Standard is just fine and she thrive at turf... The only problem is if the terrain is unfavourable and, it will be quite easy for your oponent to guess your scheme (vendetta and CJ are the only real options for her; at least CJ is a proactive scheme, so even if he knows it, he'll have to commit models in to the grindhouse to stop it). GL. Let us know how it went.
  16. If I ever go to Russia, I'll make sur to brings a Faux crew to play in one of the legendary last man standing tournament (aka wait until Plaag has beaten every body in the room)... Seriously, your tournament scene seems great! Please post the results here.
  17. That's what I call a stealth list ! I'm surprise he went for this list against Yan, but I don't k ow the matchup well (and don't know the titles version at all). The scheme pool is quite good for this kind of list. I think Z was one of the best master for this round. With such an all in list he'll probably go for outflank (easy to spot if both Gator deployed on the corner... but hard to stop, at least for the 1st point) and C&R (silurid... you'llhave to guess). Z2 is also great at B&S herself so be aware of that. He can do spread but I personally think it's too ap intensive in symbols (moth witch help though). Death bed is unlikely. Good luck. I'll watch your video later. Edit : Ashigaru are fine to protect the symbols (shadow effigy negate that though) but I don't think your oponent want to fight at all... he'll run all game. This will probably be a high scoring one since it's hard for both of you to negate what the other is doing.
  18. Turning the Sow in to a Warpig is a standard move in my OG Ulix list. It's probably good for Ulix2 too. Usually I summon t1 and t2 with the Sow than transform her for an other pig missile.
  19. SEV

    Team Cup 2021

Nice tournament. Congrats to the winners. Plaag is on an impressive streak!
  20. Great format. Can we have a quick report of your game with Belorey. Was the good Dr a fine choice in retrospect?
  21. Young dies to switch breezes and it doesn't beat hard enough... I strongly suggest a BBS instead (upgraded to mature by turn 2, turn one with Vasilissa) if you want to pay less stone for your beater. Pros : pulpulse focus; con : requires setup, no IR, unrealistic to upgrade to BBS by turn to (even with Lucius cards draw).
  22. Well you're the beatdown... Lair markers are destructible. If he's not careful with his placement and you can reach and destroy one t1, it could be a good play (especially if that doesn't put you out of position. Your Mature have (by theirself) a 12" range to destroy a lair. It could be a fine trade off for a t1 activation (if you can still threaten a dive t2).
  23. Nice walk throug of your tought process. I'm surprise that you went for the Doc... listening to your video, the other Doc (Schtook) seems like the obvious choice. I know people are often reluctant to talk about their strategy before a tournament, but I would like to have the comments on the pool of other great Ressers players (3rd floor War did something like that with their pool party series). Also, maybe it's just me, but this would be much more interesting if it was done for Neverborn or Bayou 😜
  24. Their ability to ignore defensive trigger can be clutch. I also like their capacity to remove destructible terrains. I think they're great utility model and they make the cut in most of my Trixy crew.
  25. Amazing atmosphere. Great paint job. Well done (and please show us more of your work).
