  1. I prefer The Scribe, but I run mimics near exclusively.
  2. Went to Michael's to pick up some cheap "get you by" material for terrain, when I stumbled upon 36" x 18" cobblestone and brick mats for about $20 bucks each (with the current 30% off Christmas decor discount). I grabbed two sheets of cobblestone, and now I just need to straighten them out and mount them on something sturdy. I'll probably go back later to pick up the brick for my future housing project.
  3. So, right now I'm working on: Lucius The Scribe Guild Lawyers x2 Mr. Graves Mr. Tannen Doppleganger Changeling (proxy) x3 Carver Candy Beckoners x2 They're primed and mostly assembled, with half the models about halfway painted. I ended up going for wood floor basing, with the plan of giving it an eerie paint scheme. Not as impressive as the concept above, but I think it looks good all the same. I did have a thought though, for an alternate Lucius model. I'm a big fan of crossbows, and I happen to have a few extra Warhammer Dark Elves repeating crossbow bits around. Using the Huntsman from 10th Kingdom as inspiration, I thought a heart seeking crossbow would suit Lucius' Secret Assets upgrade nicely, and I feel it evokes the Wild Hunt. I'm going to give it some more thought, see if I can find some pieces that would work together toward that end.
  4. The color coding makes this application a joy to use. A feature I would find useful is crew list exporting.
  5. I'm planning out a local Shifting Loyalties campaign, and it led to wondering which of the hide outs from the Competitive Campaign section you felt were most thematically resonant with our beloved Neverborn. Where does your arsenal's leader like to hang their hat?
  6. Nice, if I had time for the drive, I'd come up for it. I plan on starting similar events down here in the SLC area.
  7. That's something I'll probably do when the official model comes out. Green stuff a mask and a coat on it, maybe a suitably foppish hat.
  8. I'll probably go with the translucent purple bases then. Throw an appropriate sticker on top.
  9. Anyone have any good ideas for the hazardous terrain markers? I'd like to do evil pumpkin patch.
  10. The fate decks can't compare to the material construction of the light/dark decks, I find that they damage easily. Using my newly sleeved Neverborn fate deck has been a treat though. As the starter is themed witch hunters and nephilim, players who run those themes will get extra enjoyment from the starter. I purchased the set to help jumpstart my local league, demoing is going to be a great experience, just have to get the minis ready first.
  11. My local store says my copy of the starter was shipped last Friday.
  12. I'm picking my Carver up soon, I'm guessing you'd prefer the burlap sack head?
  13. Some of us are using/plan to use Carver.
  14. I have the thought that Lucius is using the Guild to destroy threats to the Neverborn. While the Ortegas might seem like something Lucius wouldn't want to have around, they're out in the middle of nowhere, and keep to themselves unless news of a Neverborn attack/nest reaches them. Let them play at gunfighting while the real work happens elsewhere.
  15. 1: Story interaction between Lucius and the other Neverborn Masters. 2: A Guild Henchman with the Mimic keyword. 3: I would also like to see more Limited upgrades.
  16. In 1 ed. I started with Nicodemus because I was in a particular mood, I've always loved movies like White Zombie and The Black Cat, he was a natural fit to that. Coming back to Malifaux in 2nd edition was due to playing a little mobile game called Wicked Lair, it's "Abyss" dungeon and creatures reminded me of the Neverborn and sparked my reinterest. That Lucius was now dual-faction made it all the sweeter.
  17. I like that, but I think it's more complicated. Remember his butterfly monologue in Crossroads?
  18. Broke down and went with the 1st edition Stolen figures.
  19. On the one hand, we have nightmares made manifest. On the other we have invading despoilers. I'm sure this will all be settled amicably. A Resser/Neverborn Master would be pretty cool.
  20. Found a direct reference in Through the Breach, in the Fated Almanac is states that members of the Guild who wear the masks are members of Lucius' Elite Division. Looks like there's more to the secret police than meets the eye.
  21. That's what they always think, and then the Changeling is right there behind them again, just like in other horror media. Lovely design.
