  1. The best way to fix this would be for Braced to be an ability instead of a condition. That way the rule with being killed by conditions still applies and a model with Braced will still get the credit for killing a model that dies because of Braced.
  2. Not quite. If Leveticus dies at the end of the game because he was buried then the Defender's Leader didn't kill him, which is what is needed for Contain Power to score. It is impossible to score of off Leveticus with Contain Power unless you have some way of stopping him from being buried after killing or sacrificing him or a way for the Leader to directly attack him while buried.
  3. You're wrong on a few things. First: You need to have an Attack Action with a range to be able to charge. It doesn't have to be a Ml attack. The Hungering Darkness for example has a Ca Attack Action with a range of 3". It can charge. Second: A model can use any action while engaged aside from Charge, actions with only a range of (Perdita has an Sh attack action that has both a range and a range, so she may use the action while engaged and also charge with it), or actions that specifically state it may not be used while engaged Third: Models that are engaged may not necessarily be able to attack each other with Ml or range Attack Actions. If a model , Model A, with range 3" is 2" away from a model, Model B, with range 1", the two models are considered to be engaged with each other, but Model B can't attack Model A unless it first moves into range.
  4. No. Focus only affects the action which you lowered it for.
  5. Well they would be discarded, because the first thing you do with Mulligan is discard cards, but I'm just being pedantic. That's not being pedantic, that's ignoring the fact that the game rules define how things work. The game defines "discard a card" as: As an example of context: So in the course of a flip with , you flip two cards, choose one to keep, and then follow the instructions for "discard a card" for the other one. But, Disciple changes the instructions for "discard a card". Disciple says: So Disciple changes the definition of discarding a card to "Place the cards aside, and shuffle them directly into the deck" rather than placing them face up in the discard pile. Ace in the Hole specifies While Disciple applies, the condition "would be placed in the discard pile" doesn't apply to discarded cards simply because you're not placing discarded cards on the discard pile. Ah, so thats how that goes. I was thinking the cards are discarded, and then at the end of Mullgian, but before the end of disciple, the cards that were discarded are instead shuffled into the deck. I wasn't arguing that you could keep the Aces after the first person answered, because I can definitely see why it would be worded so as to avoid that interaction.
  6. I meant Yu with one of those style upgrades over Sidir. Not one of those upgrades instead of Blot Out the Sky.
  7. Well they would be discarded, because the first thing you do with Mulligan is discard cards, but I'm just being pedantic.
  8. So that means Mulligan is completed and then Disciple resolves, correct?
  9. If Sensei Yu uses his (0) action Disciple to use Jakob Lynch's (0) action Mulligan and discards aces, do you get the aces back? Disciple reads: This model immediately takes a (0) action belonging to a friendly Leader in play. Any cards this model would discard during the course of the action are shuffled into its desk instead after completing the action. Ace in the Hole reads: When an Ace from this Crew's deck would be placed in the discard pile during another friendly model's Activation, this model may place it in its hand instead after the Action resolves. My reading of it leads to yes because they both have the same timing, which would mean I get to chose in what order they would happen, but I wanted to make sure before potentially getting 3 cards for free against an opponent
  10. I would say Yu with either Low or Wandering River style is the better option. You'll be able to either heal or push allies to give them fast, as well as being able to move around scheme markers. Additionally his (0) action gives you a second Mulligan where the cards you would discard instead get put into the deck.
  11. Yes. When there is a suit next to the number that means the suit is built into the flip and you always have the ability to declare the trigger associated with that suit.
  12. Models only leave the arsenal if they are Annihilated. Being killed/sacrificed only leads to a finished off flip, unless otherwise stated by something else.
  13. Just to clarify, when you say attack actions you mean charge right? Because otherwise I have no idea what those 2 view points have to do with the first question. As for your second question, you flip for finished off as you normally would, unless the Desolation Engine was summoned, in which case you don't flip because summoned models don't carry over.
  14. To expand on what Phinn said, the First Player is the person who activated first that turn, not necessarily the person who won initiative.
  15. You have referenced the order of what happens after an action is declared. That does not say what is part of an action. At this point I'm doubting my ability to remain civil and am ending my part in this discussion.
  16. Model A declares an Attack Action against Model B. Model B resists the action with the stat that Model A's Attack Action is against. The act of resisting the action IS NOT PART OF THE ACTION. If you want to continue to insist that opposed duels against the action are part of said action, cite the passage in the rule that states this.
  17. They are not part of the action. End of. Period. There is no wiggle room on this.
  18. No, it is not literally saying that. It says the model gets a to Ml and Sh actions. Df and Wp duels are not Ml or Sh actions. They are not part of Ml or Sh actions. Therefore, they do not benefit from the Inspired condition.
  19. The inspired model is not performing an Ml or Sh action when defending against one. They are making an opposed DF/Wp duel *against* the enemy Ml or Sh action. They do not benefit from any modifiers that would affect their own Ml or Sh actions, because they are not making a Ml or Sh action.
  20. Angel eyes is good. Neverborn is lacking shooters, especially ones that don't randomize, and Black Blood Scion gets some condition removal which is always nice. They don't offer any inherent synergy but they're good enough to stand on their own.
  21. It just says if the crew's leader is not an Outcast, not if the crew's declared faction is not Outcast. By RAW, Librarian in a 10T Misaki crew will be able to heal more than once per turn because Misaki is 10T and Outcast.
  22. Well the Nothing Beast and especially a Desolation Engine are designed to take enemy models off the board.
  23. As Big Hammer said: You can't charge friendlies with Thunder Archers(unless you give them some way to have a ), because for a model to be able to charge it has to end it's movement with the target in your engagement range, which Thunder Archers don't have. So actually you wouldn't even be able to charge enemies behind you.
  24. I know Misaki has the Last Blossom crew, I just want to confirm if my understanding is correct here: any 10T master / henchmen would be able to take any other 10T enforcer/minion/peon etc regardless if they are Last Blossom, Factory, whatever. The relevance comes in when Misaki is playing as Outcasts and she can then take any model that is not part of the Outcasts faction, but has Last Blossom on their cards? When you declare a faction you may only take models from that faction. Certain masters and henchmen have an ability that let's them hire models out of faction if they have a certain characteristic or type. Misaki has the ability Inflintration(Last-blossom), which allows her to hire up to 4 models with the Last Blossom characteristic regardless of her declared faction, so if you declare Outcasts as your faction with Misaki as your leader, you may hire up to 4 10T models that have the Last Blossom characteristic.
  25. The movement is from it's own action, not an enemy action. Obey just lets you control the model to use one of it's own actions.
