  1. Archie would be soooooooooo cooooooool. That and the "samurai" would be auto Buys for me.
  2. Here is a mixed collection. Sorry for the bad lighting, they a re just work in progress or finished but not based photos:
  3. Hey guys long time no see. I'm still painting, not regularly of course, But I stepped on Outcasts now. I do paint a bit what I feel like that's why it's so random. I started Outcasts because of Tara and after a won prize of the Schill crew Outcasts are on the go. I still don't have many finished things but I wanted to share some pictures for your feedback. Most of the basing is not done. I expect constructive criticism from you pros.
  4. Thinking exactly the same... Drool
  5. Maybe you are giving too much importance to Ikyrio? The thing with Kirai is also her her good summons and movement shenanigans, like swirling spirits around so She doesn't depend on Ikyrio. The seishin also have an aura that prevents blast damage to models in 3" (if I recall correctly). But yes, as a Kirai player Wong is an awful proposition with all that Ca and blasts. The thing with Ikyrio is that she disrupts, yes Wong has squeel but I don't really need to attack him to mess with him, I just took some Ap's from him or any other master/model. If they manage to elude Ikyrio and leave her alone, despite she only walking 2 I can just start placing schemes, etc and sacrifice her as needed. The mistake is to be affraid of her the whole game. Just take care in a few ultra necessary activations but otherwise, just play your game, Ikyrio can't be everywhere and Kirai has other tricks.
  6. So, resurrecting this topic. I have tried him like this: Tara (obl symbiote+dead of winter) Aionus Hannah (I pay better+Void record) johan Death marshal 2x void wretch In hindsight it was a poorly chosen crew for the strat and schemes. It was Turf War, and I was stupid enough to choose Murder protegê and anounce it... I think the other wa breaktrhoug ( on a corner deploy...). Well stupid me. And it was against Gremlins... He brought Ulix so it was a bad matchup also. Buuuuuut! I did learn some things from it. Aionus was really nice to make all 6< minions fast first turn so they positioned quite well at the first round. Hannah's bury is great because it is a 8" bury so Aionus actually has a great ranged attack, the enemy model just needs to be buried. I one "shot" a warpig ( the big one with a gremlin rider). And could do more of that if it wasn't for the really melee oriented pigs ( 1ap 8" charge range) all those activations summons and in your face pigs were just too much. But the bury shenannigans with hannah, death marshal and Tara (melee) were great. I am also enjoying the -2wp aura. Aionus is probably great in a flank with 2 minion runners or something of the kind (wretch), giving them cheap fast, protecting them and attacking buried shit. what did i miss? Karina giving buried enemies fast or slow and knowledge of eternity. the + flip to initiative is important to this list. so how can i work this list ( its pricey and few activations now that i cant use rats)? In what strat and schemes can you see it shine and what alternatives to it could i try? Cheers
  7. It's just because they are nice fillers if you have spare 2SS or if you think one more activation would help not be too much out activated. For instances, in Outcasts you have great and lot's of 10 SS choices, so I think the rats filled that role a bit. Otherwise, if it was a problem it should be solved.
  8. Nop... I know what... Belles... Mind that I never used the Rat engine...but I do have the rats...
  9. So the ratjoy engine is now finished (out of Hamelin). The only thing for me is that having the option to buy a 2ss rat just to give me one more cheap activation (wich outcasts need out of hamelin) is no more a possibility, so unless I buy Hamelin I have a bunch of no use rats. I wish the change would be a bit more subtle without prohibiting other masters acess to the odd cheap 2ss unit.
  10. I don't think Hannah can copy Masters Spells... Only Freikorps Masters aka Von Schill.
  11. That's basically what I used last two, 35ss games. I used Strongarm because strats and schemes were mostly killy, with Turf War and Reckoning. Augmented jump in Turf War is priceless. Librarian with a stroke of good cards made Ulix vanish. Von Schill and strong arm eliminated Old Major and Gracie. Last game Von Schill alone held against: Lucius, Guild Rifleman, 2x Guild Guard and a Scribe all in melee. Augmented jump was priceless to get him in the middle of the fray. Also used Convict Gunslinger
  12. You can always find a proxy and get a card on demand from Drivethrough RPG. That's what i'm thinking of doing, for her and student of conflict because I already have ronins so I won't be spending on the viks
  13. Do you guys have strategies that you usually use one or the other? What I mean is if you get Squatters right do you choose Tara, or Turf War Schill? etc? Are there specific strategies where you use usually one or the other (let's say you only have Schill and Tara)
  14. Armond, I have exactly those two Outcasts Masters, Schill and Tara, about the same choices you have. With Tara and Aionus I managed to make my crew have enough fast to reach Squatters markers on first turn. Having Hannah walk 15 or even a convict gunslinger position 12 is great. I love Tara, I just don't know if it compliments Schill that much? Maybe the pros could talk a bit about it. I also have the dillema of doing a nice Schill and Tara 35 SS list for a tournament
  15. I'm starting to play Von Schill and already had Tara from Ressers (my first take on outcasts) and have several games lined up for 35 SS. I want to play with all the new toys of course but alas at 35 SS it's very difficult and Outcasts are spoiled for 10 SS entries. So Hannah is one of my favorites and would be a staple in every list be it Von or Tara. But at 35SS Tara is already difficult because of upgrades and 2 10SS models is a bit too much. I have Hannah, Bishop, Strongarm, Aionus, killjoy on the 10+SS Range and then, Joahn, Convicts and Von Schill's and Tara's crew boxes on the lowest SS costs. In what situations, Strategy and schemes would you use which? I already have some lights on the matter but wanted to read about actual experience. Because I really want to try them all! Is hannah benificial at 35pts or are they better spent somewhere else? (I used to play ressers, and played 1 game with Von's box)
  16. That terror check only works if it is against another model that causes horror (that is not Ama) because Ama that moment is friendly so no terror check.
  17. I also enjoyed it. The more "fast pace" of the video edit is quite refreshing, since I usually watch more lengthy reports, some times shorter ones are also great for those short periods of time available between changing tasks. I think they are really nice reports , improve by working out the out of focus in the video. Keep it up
  18. Don't use liquid green stuff... It doesn't work for joints too noticeable. The LGS shrinks and shows the gap all over. It creates a weird texture on the zone apapplied and files poorly. Putty that dissolves in nail polish remover like Squadrons White putty is much better. You can dilute it, apply it with brush, and files better. But I guess it depends on the level of perfection you want. As for the discussion at hand. Improvement by a brand, product, etc is always expected, so I also expect the joints, details, etc to keep improving. But in a marketing there is such thing as a target audience/profile, and a brand can't be everywhere. One of the probable reasons Wyrd is growing is because they are catering for their audience, so they are doing something right. Their miniatures is what makes Wyrd tick for me, their poses etc, even if it means creating some difficulties in assembly. I do agree functionality is important, so I do expect that some details keep improving (like the really small joints or one foot poses) but I don't expect them to change their designs or the uniqueness of their miniatures. And that's a key word here, uniqueness. Targeting a really specific profile, and have uniqueness makes a nice combo for sales and marketing. But, I agree, improvements and listening/responding to problems is always necessary.
  19. Honestly. It's not hard to see that Wyrd could have presented us with two choices. Really static miniatures, easy assembly, or dynamic ones, hard assembly. I for one prefer the dynamic ones. It's obvious, and I have read through this forum, the reasons for these hard miniatures. There is a process involved, mold injections, etc, etc, etc, I probably, for us to have really dynamic and proportionate figures some compromises have to be made. For those who assembled other miniatures, models, played Flames of War, etc, the difficulties are just the bread and butter and honestly, while I don't own a great collection, there wasn't a single miniature where I thought really that hard to assemble. I rather have these awesome miniatures then out of proportion Space marines. Keep doing the good work Wyrd
  20. I was buying her for that, because I'm waiting for the Drowned. But even hazardous needs a suit and it's not always certain I'll summon Drowned... I'mnot going for her right now. Thank you
  21. Yes but you need Datsue Ba for summoning them right? I can only see them being summoned by that upgrade or Anna? Apart from Kirai.
  22. Sorry for ...ressurecting (wink) this post. But I'm looking again at Tara and was wondering if I used Hannah in Ressers, can i buy the Void Record upgrade? Is Hannah fine for Tara Ressers?
