I have no idea what I'm talking about, but would an elite TT McCabe Crew have game against Cadmus? I'm thinking about Sidir Alchibal, Desper LaRaux and/or Hucksters, Samurai and/or Fuhatsu. You should have the mobility and scheming potential while also being able to do some serious damage from afar. And I assume Sidir should be able to say Sayonara to those Web Markers and blow them to hell.

It is the same artwork. *nod* And, if you want to play Anya Lycarayen and also bought the original ES fate deck you might end up with three fate decks because you'd surely want the Syndicate models in the Outcast Starter...

I never said they were the same decks, just that they were quite similar. I focus on the artwork and the suits and those are the same. Cooper is 13 of Rams, Nexus is 13 of Masks, Ivan has Tomes and Anya has Crows. Just as with the previous deck. If you feel like the teal background with black bands on the sides versus a smaller teal square surrounded by a broad white square makes for a completely different fate deck experience I respect that.

The Waldo's Weekly says news about Outcast and Bayou Starter Boxes will come 'soon'. I personally am slightly salty that I'm ending up with two faction fate decks, because of course I've got the one that was released last autumn. And from the looks of it the new ones will be quite similar to those. At least I reckon this time there won't be Urami art work in the Ten Thunders deck. Anyways, I'm very much looking forward to new Thunders stuff! No idea what they could be though.

Thank you so much for your contributions so far! That indeed made the situation look less bleak. How about Tanuki? They'd offer healing, cancelation of Adversary as well as giving out Focus. And 5 Stones seem quite cheap. But on the another hand that's a Beckoner who'd offer more Brilliance, Lures and other fun stuff. Does anyone have insights into Youko versus Cooper? Many of her abilities have short range, but on the other hand I guess Apex would be quite vulnerable to discards. Distracted also seems useful. Would you go with Bill Algren, Hinamatsu, or both? Hinamatsu with Trained Ninja would surely focus Apex' attention soleley on her for a round or two. But are these 11 stones just a short-term distraction then? Bill offers Healing and a little more versatility. Could Kunoichi be worth it? Bulletproof sounds nice, as well as Nihilism, but they seem really squishy. Are Bunraku a better choice? Kabuki Warriors should be good.

Greetings, fellow Thunder Siblings! I am still looking to finally get into the game for real soonish, and the keywords I found most appealing are Honeypot and Qi & Gong. Now, the opponent who I'll probably face most often got himself some Apex. Cooper and his hunting party seem to field some scary, long-reaching fire power, while my chosen keywords are neither very fast nor capable of summoning backup or cover. Which models would you field against Apex (or Seamus, or Zipp, who will be my other opponents)? I will be getting the complete keywords as well as the Silent Strike box once it's released, and am generally okay with Versatiles and OOK models, as long as it won't force me to buy too many different boxes. Looking forward to your answers, as long as you refrain from 'lol just play gut' or 'Homeypotz and Yoko bad play McCabe!!!'.

I'm kinda fine with the pre-assembled as some of the more delicate sculpts take a lot of tools and skill to put together in a way that everything looks precisely right and with no gaps showing. On the other hand I guess there are those who enjoy the assembling almost as much as painting or playing, so of course it's bad news for them.

So, what I'll do for February slightly depends on what will actually be delivered. If the missing piece Wyrd sent by the end of December arrives I'll paint Jakob Lynch. If that doesn't happen in time I'll do Youko Hamasaki. In any case I will listen to some of your suggestions and try my hands on zenithal priming and more layers of more dilluted colors.

And if you live in Europe and your retailer ordered his stocks from the UK, like many did, you can maybe add another month due to unclear border regulations. Still haven't received the Apex boxes I ordered just after Christmas. Brexit was such a good and thought-out idea...

Gotta say, now that I see it on 4 models as a group the colorful smoke comes off really amazing! 😃 It has just the creepy and crazy psycho circus vibe it should have. Awesome idea and great execution!

Looks like most of the folks working for Lucius cover their faces and it would make perfect sense if he made them wear masks as part of their uniform for two reasons: A: You guys are going to draw the ire of all of those pesky Arcanist terrorists, so you need to work anonymously if you still want to enjoy a private life. B: If I need to wear a mask it makes things a little less suspicious for myself if I make my whole squad wear them too. It's just Elite doing Elite things. Go team!

Completely agree with Jinn! Qi & Gong likes to bubble up a little too and could offer additional mobility with lures by Geishas.. The main problem I see is this: Why would you take Izamu (apart from the fact that he looks awesome) for 11 points when you could also take Fuhatsu/Miss Guided + 2 Soulstones which offers similar survivability and some serious firepower?!

Any idea on when you are doing the Rat King? I think the coolest concept in the crew, though it's a shame that both Kings in the box have an identical sculpt. Quite un-Wyrd that.

Great execution on an awesome character (at least in my humble opinion). The rat cloak seems really, really well done, and that's certainly a quite manly stomach. ;)

Wow, thanks you guys! That was a lot more feedback than I anticipated, and a little more honesty than I'm comfortable with..😅 Just kidding, I appreciate it! I will certainly try to improve though I feel I've already come a long way from where I started, and the average level here in the forums is really high. @SEV Will make sure to check out the Vince Vinturella video! And I will definitely try thinning down my paints further (already use Lahmia Medium or whatever it's actually called) and try a matt varnish to get rid of the shine. An aquaintance of mine used to do that but I always thought it made the minis look dusty. Maybe something was wrong with the varnish?! @Woody71 The patches on Teddy are really cool and add color! I love it! Would agree that Candy comes across a little too dark, but might just be the photo. Not aure about the blood.. but I'd say go for it!

More Illuminated for my Honeypot. Tried to match the skin color on the mutated parts to that of the Hungering Darkness, since it's the Darkness' essence that is turning them. And went for wet-blending for the first time! Think it turned out okay. "'Cause I've been hypnotized by the lights; But I'm coming home, I'm coming back down tonight."
