Because ironically lady j with justice unleashed is a quite good counter to him. Who cares when you avoid all defensive abilities from 12" away when you have no defensive abilities...

Truth be told, I do usually focus first. I usually have abuela to give him that or move him a bit extra. And yes I like the granny too much

Also the other thing with cridd I only realised during my recent play streak with her is the power of disrupt magic and ancient runes. Disrupt magic can really gum up so many people, and runes can really turn things into a blood bath. It really helps her versatility. Back on topic - yep I would get sonnia, perdita and justice boxes as they give some great starting points. Everything in those boxes have a place, even if hand on heart I have never used justice's totem. Welcome aboard the fascist cowboy train. We love persecution and cakes Ps - feel free to make proxie witchling handlers. They are awesome and I always start a Sonnia list with two of them.

I personally quite like exorcist for rider hunting. Make them undead then switch the triggers off with placement

Are any of the masters a r-type? Possibly a type-o negative?

Saying that, Lady J has finished pretty highly in quite a few uk tournies. OK, mainly down to some great players using her, but she is not so below the pail as to have a free upgrade or anything. I've always found badge of office, the one which gives unimpeded, and the one which means you cannot leave her melee range more than enough to gum up the opposition for a good few turns. Does she always survive? No. Does she create a stink with the brutal effigy? Damn right And I don't even take Francisco with her

I love the Hoff but any form of a)ignoring armour willpower duels followed by forced movement c) hand drainage, is going to make him a sad panda. The skill with him is to ensure you can cover the weaknesses long enough to exploit his strengths in the middle of the game.

Just so puzzled. I don't see the point in ranking individual masters in a faction. The game is balanced around knowing terrain, schemes/strata and then a short pool of seven masters, which a lot of the time can bring in lots of random things from others. The way I see it you have the following choices:- * Perdita or Sonnia when you need to force project * Lady J or Mc Mourning when you need to take the pressure to them * Lucius or Hoffman when you want to force multiply * Mc Cabe when you really need to be flexible as much as possible, while possibly only mastering scheme running. Hence, this is about what works for you and fits your play. What do you feel like today? Surely part of the joy of this game is expressing yourself through your choices and seeing how it pans out? Before anyone asks... My comfort zone is Perdita/Mc mourning/Hoffman, which means I'm currently trying Sonnia/Lady J/Lucius more than I would usually do. I'm trying to avoid McCabe cause everyone loves him

Main thing for me is a) getting enough terrain on the board taking the unimpeded upgrade. Then you get to scream "NINJA!" When she splats someone then dies. Who needs to win when you can scream ninja right?

Yeah - basically if I want the pale rider but don't need the damage output then I take lone Marshall. Main thing to accept is that you are going to trick shoot and then place once you have clear distance from others. His shot is still enough to take out most minions over some turns so great on the flank of your main force.

Yeah - so can't wait for singularity on spell casters to be official to at least slow down the lure train. Edit - dirial, that's the best use of wastrels I've heard

Yep sergeants are great with McCabe as they can kick a scheme after nimbling Also great combining with Luna to give that hound 24" on that first activation

I also love pistoleros de latigo as they can shake off the injection. Great use of low cards in the early turns.

I would also agree with Bengt that when you have an action triggered by another action, its going to be both. Just in case you needed a reason to put Izamu or teddy on the table... Such rarely seen models you know?...
