Sometimes the rules in games assume that you can make an intuitive leap. This is one of those times. This part of the rule book is talking about disengaging strikes and never mentions any model not engaged by an enemy. You are absolutely correct in the whole RAW bs argument, but t is just that. BS. I've not yet come across a game that has lots of RAW vs RAI arguments, but Malifaux is very close to being that game. Rules forums don't need a Devil's Advocate and it would be super awesome if you could stop being that guy, because yo seem to have an excellent grasp of how the game works.

I like to have a pair because cheap activations and they die so I can feed them to Widow Weaver. She makes at least 1 Teddy per game in my Collodi crew and has made 2 per game on more than 1 occasion.

Yes they're weak, but only if you need to something that doesn't involve eliminating enemy models. If you have a couple schemes that require interaction there are better options than a Viks crew in Outcasts.

There are some Tactical Actions that can only be taken 1 time per turn, but there's no general rule from preventing it. Perhaps the person was thinking of 0 AP actions.

There are certain models that are dual faction as well as certain masters that can hire out of their faction, either with an upgrade or naturally. An example of naturally hiring cross faction would be Zoraida, who can hire any model who's willpower is 4 or lower. An example of needing an upgrade would be Hoffman who needs the Arcanist Assets upgrade to hire up to 4 M&SU models.

Kill the Slop Haulers in Sommer lists. They can be key to his summoning engine. Young Lacriox need to go when you're playing against Ophelia, otherwise her discard to use upgrades continually come back. I like to force Horror Duels against most Gremlin crews.

Don't forget about Legalese on Lucius. It can be pretty dumb in scheme marker based strategies.

I highly suggest throwing in a Sorrow so you can use Doldrums and concede to Paralyze the VD Doll and his pal.

Reading the rule from the small book, here's exactly what it says. The next sentence is one example of breaking the rule, it's not a rule. You may never exceed a model's Rare limit through summoning.

How about thinking about it this way. Does the model have Black Blood? Then it's just a yes or no and condition or ability mean nothing.

Don't forget he's HT 1, use terrain where possible and always have at least 2 models to shove damage off and keep you rself some for prevention and a severe to cheat in on that reduction as well if you can.

This is shaping up to be a big event for the Intermountain Malifaux gang. Right now there are 17 confirmed to show, with 5 maybes....can't wait!!!

No reason at present. There are several other models that have a suit built into an action that does nothing for them at this time.
