  2. Oh man oh man! Even though I cannot make it to GenCon, (curse being broke and English... and made out of wood!) Can't wait for the GenCon section on the Wyrd shop to open! Can't wait to get my wooden hands on the TTB stuff (if any) and crossroads (if present)! Did I forget to mention that I CAN'T WAIT!?

  9. fun times... Seeing it grow through the weeks of malibashing on the tabletop! In the word of Mike Wazowski... "Go throw up!" (blooper clip!) No, no... "Go grow up" See you again in August! CAN'T WAIT!
  10. Didn't they have an interview with Justin and Mack on their latest episode? It was out since First of May this year, when the Beta was going to be released to the public. So they're not dead, just slowly clawing their way out of the dirt like the "Tree Rat!"
  11. Any idea if the new stat cards are available (printable and/or physical)? I'm just currently making my own cards (using Word, no Photoshop, so no images, etc. Sadly.) So i can just print them off and use them. As for the rule book... I just copied and pasted the rules from the website, and made a small booklet out of it. I don't really want to get Unstitched, since I already have all that i need from V1. So it would be a waste to just buy the game just for the rule book and stat cards. I know it seems odd since I am already under the process of making my own materials, but it would be nice to have the official products.
  12. Got mine just before I headed down town to my LGS! made many peeps jealous! Thanks Rocky!
  13. Nevermind, just found out how to do it!, Please close this when possible
  14. Hey Aiden, It has been a while since i made a visit to the Cross, i was just wondering what the Malifaux scene is like, especially with the release of the Beta testing? As soon as i finish uni, i might pop down for an evening. Toby

  15. Anyone working, or know of someone working on Puppet Wars: Unstitched for VASSAL?
  16. The sooner i send in my assignments, the sooner i can roll up my trunk full of Malifaux goodies to my LGS and start busting out some M2E Demos!
  17. You'll find that you're playing Collodi in "waves". First you move, re-collect your marionettes, go in for your "buzz-saw of doom", re-locate and re-collect your marionettes again and repeat. The best use is to be precise with your marionette kills; to go in, kill and get out whilst you can. @ Joel: I don't think you can because; you move to disengage, opponent declares to disengage. They hit you and your action ends, therefore, you wouldn't be allowed to move, even if you fling a marionette to defend you. However, if the disengaging strike had effects (damage, poison or whatever) then you may resolve it on a marionette instead. At least that's how i understand it, although i can imagine fluff wise Collodi would fling one of his marionettes into his enemy's face, the enemy will try to untangle himself from the doll, and Collodi makes a quick getaway.
  18. Ok i'm really confused now, i read on an earlier thread that the beta rules are on the Puppet Wars website, however what i read on the website is still the same rules that i've still got. One of the rules changes you spoke about Panda, is that scrounge can be done anywhere (for friendly upgrades) but on the website it still has the old rules of scrounge (from work benches only). What i'm confused about is that i'm told the beta rules are up, but when i read them, they aren't the rules as you have described them.
  19. I assume that the only way to get hold of the new rules/stats/etc. is to purchase Unstitched?
  20. Any chance that there will be a rulebook for puppet wars: unstitched? Or are there going to be rules on the website soon? I've heard the rules were on the website, from what i've read and seen on the forums, they're pretty much the same as the edition i've got. (Scenario book, metal models, etc) One of the rule changes i've heard was about how the Aces count as 2 of the suit and then you flip for it's numerical value. That's the same rule i've got here. And i guess the same question applies to stat cards of the puppets, do they remain the same or is there some difference, besides the aesthetics?
  21. No Worries Rocky... i'll Paypal ya when i receive the invoice
  22. Undead hookers, yin with guts spewing, killer teddy bears... Our stomaches handled many things Malifaux could throw at us, so I say Go ahead!
  23. But that would mean the student can only use Collodi's spells, so that's one less obey. Ah well, it was worth a shot!
  24. I was going for the Teddy factory approach. My 35SS list was: Zoraida Student of Conflict Weaver Widow Collodi + 4x Marionnettes Arcance Effigy Pool of 7 SS I'd cast obey on the Weaver Widow, to either discard cards to gain scrap counters, or to attack the Voodoo doll to gain an extra scrap counter. This at best would enable me to summon a teddy by the end of turn 1 or on turn 2, and this process is repeated to continuously spew out teddies! ---------- Post added at 08:59 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:58 AM ---------- As for the point about connecting to one totem at a time, would that mean that as soon as the Voodoo doll hits the table, the Student is no longer connected to Zoraida?
  25. Just had a game the other day and i used Zoraida with the student of conflict and the Arcane effigy (5AP; 3 normal, casting expert and arcane's!). However, one slight confusion came over (and it wasn't covered in the rules about this) and that i when Zoraida summons her voodoo doll. She's already connected to the Student, can she also be connected to the voodoo doll as well? I know when you hire totems, you must connect totems to masters, but with the voodoo doll, you don't hire it, you summon it. So with the student you connect it because you've hired it, but with the voodoo doll, it doesn't say that it is connected to Zoraida, even though you need to summon it. Of course the only way to have both Student and Voodoo on the table is to connect Student to Collodi, and then Collodi leaves the student behind so the student can hang around with Zoraida. But in this case i'm just wondering if this is possible for Zoraida to have 2 totems, even though she'd begin the game with the student?
