  1. Whoa, that Nekima... Looks great! Love the basing too.
  2. In my game against Misaki with Perdita, I had Perdita hit Misaki like a truck when she was in Melee. With the upgrade to give negatives to SH attacks, and the auto-crit in melee, I beleive Perdita is the hardest hitting Melee Master in the game... which is strange. Nino is one amazing piece. Being able to stop your opponent from interacting is such a strong ability. The Enslaved Nephilem has also been a boss. There's a lot of neat movement tricks with the Ortegas, and they've been the most fun Guild crew I've played in the new ruleset.
  3. I think Copycat, Sybelle, and two belles are the core of the crew. Depending on the strategy, I'd bring either more Belles, Bete, Hanged(These things are insane near Seamus), and canine remains. Giving Bete decaying aura is pretty nasty, and Sybelle can hit pretty hard, and her upgrade is neat. Turf War?(Or the one with the marker in the middle, 6" thingy) is my favorite strategy for Seamus. Sit him in the middle of the board with some Hanged, using the Belles to Lure models to his bubble of terrifying and bag smacking. Anything that makes the enemy come to you is fun with Seamus.
  4. I run him with Bete + decaying aura. He's great for delivering her into the middle of their crew!
  5. I also have a Miss Step and am interested in a Miss Terious or Miss Demeanor.
  6. Episode 3 is posted. Even though it's not about Malifaux this time, you should still take a listen!
  7. If I get hired before then, I wont be there. Otherwise... COUNT ME IN! WOO!
  8. Wow... impressive! Yours looks so much better than mine! I love the glow effects on the eyes.
  9. The model sculpts are pretty awesome. Haven't checked out the encounter rules with them yet.
  10. I have these bases for my 10T and they're awesome. I HIGHLY recommend pinning your models to them though. The bamboo doesn't make for a good surface to glue the models down. PIN THEM!
  11. I'm going to do my best to make it out here again this Thursday, 8/29, to cover for Zanntos! I've got Ressers and Guild models for 2E you can try out. I usually get there around 5pm. Come get a demo if you live in the DC area!
  12. Hey fellow Malifauxers! Some friends of mine recently started up a new website called GuessingZero.com that talks about tabletop gaming, war games, and some video games that includes a bi-weekly podcast. There's a few of us here on the Malifaux forums that write for the site and we recently recorded the second episode of the podcast talking about our GenCon 2013 experience. If you guys would take a listen and give us some feedback, we'd appreciate it. As a new podcast, everything helps! There's two episodes so far, check them both out! Links: http://guessingzero.com/gz-a-crit-of-gamers-episode-2/ http://guessingzero.com/gz-a-crit-of-gamers-episode-1/ Also, there's a ton of content being worked on, so check back regularly for new posts!
  13. Flaming heads! The details are too sweet not to use.
  14. Tara's box wasn't bad, but just remember that the little voidies have 3 legs, not 4. I thought my box was messed up at first, haha.
  15. I'll be taking over this week for Demos. Come take a look at the new models and book! I'll have them out for everyone to pick up and take a look at. If you have any questions, feel free to send me a PM here on the boards. Always happy to help, seeing as I am a former henchman.
  16. Yep, attending from Weds-Sun with Lucidicide and Argivian. Looking forward to some fun games! Wooo!
  17. zanntos is a great henchman, you'll learn a lot from him. Victory Comics is also a great gaming store with a TON of Malifaux. Check them out!
  18. Can't wait to get her on the table with Bete. Tara seems like a blast to play!
  19. Originally I wasn't going to go to GenCon, but now I'm able to. I'd be interested in your ticket if nilus doesn't accept generic tickets.
  20. On Thursdays, Victory Comics in Falls Church has a decent sized Malifaux turnout.
  21. While Hamelin isn't the broken master he used to be, he's still one hell of a fight. I haven't played as Hamelin, but I've face him roughly six or seven times since the changes, all with different masters. Hamelin's big drawback is not being able to draw cards; but honestly unless you're super unlucky(Looking at you Lucidicide), Hamelin is a great master. Getting a decent starting hand is almost a must(1-2 severe's, 2+ high moderates) and if you're going against a master that loves to cheat like Pandora or Kirai you should be in good shape. I've learned to almost never cheat against him; and if I do I always, ALWAYS check my opponents top card on his discard pile. If it's below a 9, I cheat. Sure it feeds his hand; but I can remember what he's grabbed and what he hasn't. You take the risk of Hamelin being able to top-deck cards into his hand but still, if it's a duel you need to win it's worth the cheat.
  22. Ordered 2 decks and an update! Last years blew me away, and this one even tops it. Great job! Looking forward to having these cards hit the table.
  23. Pre-registered, looks like I've got a bunch of painting to do... >.>
