    I was a GW fanboy for a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time. I still am to a degree, but I have since branched out and played other games. I was the guy who brought Malifaux to the masses when it first came out, and I'm doing it again... I don't fault anyone for the games they play. Like I said, I am still (in a much smaller way now) a GW fanboy. Now, let me show you some Malifaux...

    I think you can't go wrong with the Seamus box. The one thing I noticed is that you didn't give Seamus a Henchman. Sybelle is really good with Seamus and Belles. While, the Flesh Construct is indeed a beat stick, I think that sends the wrong message to someone just learning the game. If you concentrate on the shenanigans that Seamus is good at I think you'll sell your friend on Malifaux a lot faster than showing her how easy it is for the flesh construct to kick the crap out of stuff...

    I will be running demos at Table Top Games in Fall River MA on Wednesday, June 25 starting at 6pm. Come on in to learn a bit about the game and stay to play until the store closes at 9pm. Hope to see you there.

    I played my first couple of games at 35 stones, which most boxes should be able to do. After you try a few of those consider adding on. While the game is balanced at 50 stones, 35 isn't that much lower, and since they would be essentially practice games, the lower level shouldn't hurt that much. Once you've played a few games you can start adding in a few models to increase the stone cost up to whatever level you are comfortable with. Always remember, the game is about having fun, and as long as you're both having fun, balance is less important...

    I have suggested in the past that if you use multiples of 6" for your dimensions, you can't go wrong.
