  1. So... I can't find the model of Carlos Vasquez anywhere... Maybe I'm just out of the loop. Is he even released yet?
  2. Hey, folks, Missing the left arm of the M3E Firestarter model. If anyone happens to have one, that would be lovely! Or, alternatively, I will be more than happy to buy the sprue section of the complete collection of Firestarter bits. Any help? Thanks!
  3. Hello, my name is Caver and I'm a Ramos player(Both literally and figuratively). My surname is Ramos and building models out of scrap has always been something I love doing. So when I saw a guy at my local area selling a fully painted Ramos crew+ extra arachnid+ metal gamin + meta golem+ tokens for 30 quid I couldn't resist. After that I've had half a dozen games with Ramos, I even went to a tournament and finished second. This are the lessons I have learned from my experience playing my family man. 1. Ramos loves metal gamin Metal gamin might be generally associated with Mei Feng, but it is Ramos who really turns them into something. Why? Scrap markers. This little buggers generate all the resources Ramos needs to run his factory of robots show. I always put 2 in my list at least. Admittedly using the markers for summoning does neuter a little their awesome ride the rails ability, but my advice is to fine tune model activation. Always activate the gaming first and have them move using ride the rails before Ramos starts his show. Also by turn 2 I do think the gamin have provide Ramos with all the markers he really needs and can focus on construction of a railway for.scheme running. One last thing, this buggers are super though so they are the premiere candidate for magical training upgrade, that extra card really helps. 2. Howard who? Run a Golem Seriously Howard Langston doesn't have that much sinergy with Ramos in this edition. The Golem does, why? Because he generates scrap markers and can take advantage of the gamins rails. So if you need to pick up a beatstick go for the Golem not for Howard. Tecnospiderman us better in unionised lists nowadays. 3. Joss is underwhelming Joss is Ramos henchmen, we love him for that. But he.jyst doesn't work to well supporting Ramos creations. Why? Because his awesome "Command Construct" ability, the reason you take this guy, requires a tome suit, which Joss doesn't have built in. So getting that action off requires you to burn a valuable soulstone in order to have it guaranteed which is NOT ok, since Ramos needs to use all the soulstones he can get. Unluckily Joss just doesn't offer Ramos much more mileage either, please prove me wrong in this. 4. Ramos LOVES soulstones Ramos main mechanic this edition is summoning, which requieres a 9+ of tomes to get off in almost any circumstances(in which you summon important models eg not steam arachnids) Hence having soulstones to add suits is a must in order to reliably summon mechs. As such if you need to choose between spending soulstones in a non vital model or giving Ramos more stones always give Ramos the stones and summon the model in the game via tactical action. Personally I like to start summoning a metal gamin(which requires a reasonable 9 of tomes). And then on subsequent turns start summoning more violent creatures such as steam arachnid swarms or mecharachnids which requires a 12 and an 11 respectively. But always have at least 7 soulstones with Ramos in 50 points games and 5 in 35 points games. Is much better to have control over summoning than to have extra models. 5. Steam arachnids Steam arachnids are cool with Ramos, he can summon 3 of them with a 13+ of tomes and have them place scheme markers fairly quickly, also you can detonate them at will for 2 automatic damages and an electrical creation. But don't take them, summon them by turn 2 or similar. Spending points on them instead of in getting soulstones is not good business when you can summon many of them on a single turn. 6. Beware of the strategy and summon accordingly Essentially if you are playing turf war or reckoning with Ramos only use.your summoning for big and though models. Arachnids would be to much of a hindrance to get summoned due to.their frailty, which translates to easy points for the enemy, and unluckily exploding them still means points for your oponent. Overall I don't love Ramos in either of those scenarios. Those are the things that I have learned playing everybody's favourite political prisoner. Please comment and give me more advice on how to run my favourite family member.
  4. Newish player here! Coming from Warhammer via Infinity and for some time now, playing Malifaux with a few friends - for whom I also paint stuff. Feel free to comment and criticise - I'm always happy to find ways to become a better painter First off: Ressers - the McMourning starter, painted for a friend.
  5. Far to the west of Malifaux city, hidden away in a forest, is the fabled Temple Of The Dragon. Its origins are long lost to the mists of time, and myths of the power contained within have caused many men to waste their lives searching for it - tales of ancient weapons, tribes of fearless warrior-monks, and spiritual beings willing to grant unimaginable power to the worthy. However, the reality is far less extraordinary - the temple is used by the Arcanists as one of the many bases for their smuggling operations. And, on a cold, wind-swept day, as Colette du Bois and her girls prepare another shipment to be snuck past the Guild checkpoints and into the city, they find that they are not the only ones at the Temple Of The Dragon... 50ss game against my friend Tom and his Outcasts, using the 3.1 beta rules. My crew consisted of: Colette du Bois Cassandra Felton Angelica Durand Carlos Vasquez Performer Mannequin Coryphee Duet 3 x Mechanical Dove Tom's Outcasts featured: Catelin Abernathy Schrödinger's Cat The Dutiful Son Benny Wolcomb 3 x Ailuromaniac Cat Princess Cat Catcher 6 x Malifaux Cats The strategy was Plant Explosives, and the scheme pool was Search The Ruins, Dig Their Graves, Hold Up Their Forces, Assassinate, and Deliver A Message. I took Search The Ruins and Dig Their Graves, while Tom took Hold Up Their Forces and Assassinate. My explosives tokens were on Angelica (1), Carlos (1), the Duet (1), and Cassandra (2). Tom's were on Catelin (2), Schrödinger's Cat (1), The Dutiful Son (1), and Benny Wolcomb (1). The fabled Temple of the Dragon. Perhaps the koi fish pond outside is the real reason Catelin and her crew are here....? Turn 1 saw an agressive start from both crews, as Tom's Outcasts moved up the field rapidly. Keen to take advantage of this and maybe score some VP early on, Colette used Presto Chango on the leading Cat Princess, swapping its place with a nearby Dove. Cassandra promptly charged the Cat Princess, landing a moderate damage to soften it up for the kill next turn. With a mewing sound, some of Tom's cats swarmed together to form another Cat Princess. Meanwhile, on the other side of the board, Schrödinger's Cat charged Angelica through the forest (the fact it was Incorporeal had completely slipped my mind), wounding her but leaving her standing. In an attempt to help, Carlos moved across to charge Schrödinger's Cat, while the Coryphee charged an overly-confident Cat Catcher who had moved too far up the board, critically wounding the fellow. Turn 2 started out with my Arcanists wining the initiative, and the Mannequin healed Angelica with Emergency Surgery. The Cat Catcher failed to hurn the Coryphee, while Colette quickly dropped a scheme marker before killing the Cat Princess to score a VP off Dig Their Graves. Continuing to mess with Tom's placement, she swapped a Mechanical Dove with the other Cat Princess to make sure it couldn't reach her to deliver a message. Benny quickly removed the scheme marker left behind from Presto Chango, and shot the nearby Dove out of the sky with his pistol. Meanwhile the Coryphee retaliated, killing the Cat Catcher and moving towards the scrum around Schrödinger's Cat before Dancing Apart. Dancing together again, they dropped down their Strategy marker and a scheme marker in base contact with the forest. In an attempt to avenge its fallen sibling, the remaining Cat Princess charged Colette, only for the master magician to flip a high card and Fade Away. Carlos managed to land a hit on Schrödinger's Cat, flipping the Red Joker for damage, but the creature's Cruel Disappointment softened the blow. Angelica fled the combat, heading for the safety of of Tom's empty deployment zone, still carrying her explosives. Arcanists: 2, Outcasts: 0 Turn 3! The Outcasts gained the initiative and, wasting no time, Schrödinger's Cat killed Carlos by stacking Blight on him before finishing him off with the Bleeding Disease. His sacrifice was not in vain, though, as Angelica moved further down the board to drop her Strategy marker. In an attempt to put down the pesky fleabag (and finally prove once and for all that yes, the cat is actually dead!), I charged Schrödinger's Cat with my Coryphee, though the elegant constructs were only able to wound the creature rather than finish it off. Cassandra moved further into the right flank to drop down a second scheme marker and reveal Search The Ruins, while on the other side Colette reappeared in an explosion of smoke and playing cards, Distracting the nearby Cat Princess. The Dutiful Son finally moved onto my half of the board to drop down his own Strategy marker. Arcanists: 4, Outcasts: 1 Turn 4 started with Cassandra moving even further away, planting one of her explosive Strategy markers to ensure I'd keep scoring off it. Schrödinger's Cat was finally killed by the Coryphee, while in the middle of the board Catelin charged Colette, looking to take advantage of her blight token. Her first attack hit for weak damage (prevented by soulstones) by negating the trigger, but the second one missed - only for the Arcanist to Fade Away again. Benny dropped down his own Strategy marker, while the Mannequin dropped a scheme marker on the other side of the board to start setting up the second half of Search The Ruins. Finally, Colette reappeared again near Benny and the Performer, interacting with the Strategy marker to remove it. Arcanists: 5, Outcasts: 1 The final turn started with Catelin putting down the Coryphee, her Bleeding Disease combining with the six(!) blight counters they'd accumulated to do enough damage even with the armour to finish them off. The Cat Princess charged into Colette, managing to hit her for severe damage - the magican prevented 2 of it with her final soulstone before using Fade Away to disappear once again. The swarming Cats on the other side of the board formed together into a Cat Princess again, using Gnaw to remove one of my scheme markers, but Colette was able to reappear with Showstopper to put another one down to replace it. Cassandra dropped her final Strategy marker, and so the game came to a close. Arcanists: 7, Outcasts: 1 * * * I spread out quite early on, which I think really helped to stop Tom being able to gang up models around me to stack blight - the Bleeding Disease was brutal when he did manage to accumulate enough of the condition. I did regret choosing Dig Their Graves, between the lack of markers Tom's models dropped, and the Gnaw action reliably removing my scheme markers. I'm not sure who my MVP was that game, there were a lot of stars in the crew - Colette for the work she did moving models around and generally bouncing around the board to get stuff done, the Coryphee for blending their way through the Cat Catcher, Schrödinger's Cat and a Wretch, and Angelica for her movement shennanigans with "Give Them An Encore!". Poor Carlos just got blight stacked on him pretty early on, and then the Bleeding Disease took him out the game early on before he could do much. He did tie up Schrödinger's Cat long enough for Angelica to run off and drop her explosives, which was the main reason I sent him charging in. All in all, a good fun game (let's be honest, any game I use Colette is fun ) -Ben
  6. Hello! I'm starting with Sandeep. If I want to hire Banasuva, how many points do I pay? I think I read in the M3E rules that Totems, as Leaders, just cost 0. But then someone told me I only could place Banasuva if summoned by Sandeep, not by hiring it. And now I'm a bit confused. 🚶‍♂️
  7. Here is a battle report sheet on the match played over VAssal, followed by a not so accurate walkthrough of the whole encounter. Enjoy! (if anyone wants to see the map, I can try to attach that.) What Version of the Playtest Documents were you using? 1.23 Strategy & Deployment Corrupted Idols – Flank Deployment Scheme List Detonate charges Dig their graves Search the ruins Take prisoner Assassinate Time & Rounds Played 3,5hour for 4 rounds Final Score Hamelin 6 - 1 Marcus Player 1 – AlexDS Outcasts/Hamelin Crew List Hamelin Stolen Stolen Stolen Benny Wolcomb Johan Creedy Prospector Rat catcher Obedient Wretch Malifaux Child Malifaux Rat Malifaux Rat Winged Plauge Strategy VP Scored 2 Scheme 1 & VP Scored Dig their Graves - 2 Scheme 2 & VP Scored Assasinate – 2 If you could play this same Encounter again, what would you do differently? I would probably take Search the ruins over Dig their graves, and stick to plan with the winged plauge to score earlier from the stratagem. Also, Johan was a bit redundant. I would like to get Parker into the list, but there might be some other cheaper model with the same skills. ( I like his friendly model within LoS can drop a scheme marker for a card, and his ranged dmg output) MVP model (and Why?) Hamelin and the Ratkings. Hamelin mostly becouse he summons rats, and Unclean influence to combine them. Ratkings are amazing glasscannons, capable of serious damage and blight spread before they die and give you a card (or if you manage to summon a catcher instead) Player 2 – dannydb Arcanists/Marcus Crew List Marcus Jackalope Hoarcat pride Cojo Razorspine Rattler - Magical training Mechanical rider Arcane effigy Ferdinand Vogel Strategy VP Scored 0 Scheme 1 & VP Scored Dig their Graves - 0 Scheme 2 & VP Scored Search the ruins – 1 If you could play this same Encounter again, what would you do differently? Skip the mechanical rider for maby Miranda. Missed the Def/Wp + flip and heals. Mech riders tokens did not seem to worth the models cost of 10. Also, Did expect Hamelin to be harder to take down, and therefor I did not choose Assasinate. Definitivly would instead of Dig their graves next time. MVP model (and Why?) Marcus and Cojo, altho none of them preformed more than average. Still a nice combo. Additional Feedback? Hamelin gives away a LOT of passmarkers. The option to activate rats to reduce them is almost never used, becouse there are alot of models in crew who rely on the rats possitioning. The 3 totem he starts with, and that you want to take atleast 1-2 rats to start with, gives you a crew of 6 for 4 stones..... The option to accually summon a child, maby once per round, would help him. And he still is missing a bonus action. So please make unclean influence a bonus, and let him be able to summon stolens as a dual suit trigger (maby on lure for fluff reasons?) The Chimerancy abillity have rather low target numbers. Sometime a five a six and an 8 builds quite the monster. Throw that on an order initiate and the dmg will also be insane. Need to be tested more. The Encounter, long breakthrough Note that these notes from the encounter are only roughly what happened activation order, dmg and targets may have varied a bit. But this is how I remembered it. Round 1 – The setup Both teams deploy rather grouped up in a square opposite of each other. Marcus wins the initiative and lets Hamelin go first. Hamelin crew is positioned behind and in a dense, severe forest and activates models possitoned around Benny to drop scheme markers and walk a bit. Marcus activates, gives stealthed to himself. Chimerancy to give cojo and an upgrade to the rattler. Does his howl and moves all beasts to a more forward position. 1 stolen gives out fast to an un-activated rat, and kills himself. Jackalope moves close to the Idol that were spawned in the middle of the board and next Hoarcat goes closer to protect. Another stolen gives out fast to yet another rat, and one of the rats activates, taking the concentrate action 3 times for focus 3. Mecanichal rider goes straight down on the map and place a scheme marker in a forest. Prospector takes slow for a Soulstone and drops a schememarker. Tries to place a second with bonus action, but doesn’t flip the necessary crow. Now there are 4 markers around Benny. Ferdinand turns into Beast and moves behind a big rock, closer to the middle of the board. Benny activates and summons 4 rats with tiny hats. Focus and no bonus action. Some pass tokens are used. Last stolen gives out fast to a rat, and rat catcher separates the rats into 2 groups using his rotting odor bonus action, and gives out fast to the already activated winged plague. Cojo gets into position just to the left of the center of the board, near a big rock. Hamlin activates and does unclean influence to move the rats in the groups into more forward positions, focus with one, and then combines them into 2 rat kings. 1 with fast, focus 4 and still to activate (about 8” to the right of the center board), and one with fast focus 1 (further down behind a rock). Lures the hoarcat closer and charges it to put blight on it. Rattler gets into forward position. Malifaux child double walks into a forest. Last model for Marcus is the arcane effigy, which sticks close to Marcus. Rat king yet to activate takes a walk and charges the jackalope. With focus getting in 2 moderate hits, killing it, summons a rat and spread blight to Hoarcat and Marcus. Stands in base with the idol, but no ap to move it. Round 2 - Infestation Idol gets placed behind a forest on the top of the board where no one is. Marcus wins initiative and upgrades both Rattler and Cojo. Walks a away from the rat king and stands on top of the rock (were cojo and the Beast within stands) and howls to move all beasts closer to the rat infestation. Last action he commands the rattler (with trigger) to walk into the forest closer to Hamelin. chain activation into cojo, he charges the ratking, who manages to only get 3 dmg due to using focus on at least 1 hit. Winged plague places a scheme marker from the Hoarcat focuses and charges. Hitting and getting a lucky severe for 5 dmg on a straight flip. Declears Dig their Graves and get a rat summoned. Rattler charges Hamelin, manageing to take 6 wounds (?!) and poison 1. The two summoned rats activates and reduces Marcus pass tokens to 4, then Johan tries to retaliate but doesn’t do much. Beast within walks to charge the rat summoned by the rat king, killing it and engageing the rat king. Wretch walks in LoS with the rattler and analyzes weakness. Hamelin tries activates Unclean influence to position some rats and tries to take down the Rattler leaving it at 2 wounds. Arcane effigy just walks. Prospector prospects and moves, fail bonus action due to low on cards. Mecanichal rider activates last, walks further south, away from everyone else, and places scheme marker in another forest. Benny concentrates and walks further into the forest. Malifaux child walks, and tries to Lure something, fails. Stolens moves and try to kill the rattler with vomitiong desease, managing 1 dmg, leaving it at 1 wound. Rat king moves and tries to slow cojo. Eats a rat and heals to full 7. Attacking and dealing 2 dmg. The ratking by the rock uses his fast to double walk, Gnaw to remove a scheme marker from the mech rider, and then charges said model with focus for 0 dmg due to destiny tokens. Rat catcher moves around the rock to get a better path to eventually charge cojo or Marcus. Still 4 passtokens left for marcus as turn 2 ends. Noone scored from strategy, only Hamelin gets 1 for Dig. Round 3 - Carnage No supprise Marcus win Initative with a flipped 6 (+4) and gains 7! passtokens. Idol gets placed on the bottom close to the mechanical rider and the rat king. Rattler goes first but gets cheated over not doing much. (or wonder if he accually died round 2?) Ratking tries to get some dmg through on mech rider. Resulting in 4-5 damage on 2 hits. Marcus chainactivates into cojo. Upgrades, command and focusing on killing rats and Hamelin. High cheats lets him get away without to much injuries. (3 wounds left?) rat catcher activates, charging Marcus for 8 dmg! 2 attacks with min2 + black death trigger for +2. He is down at 4. The beast within slaughters the ratking on two strikes. And now its only Mechanical rider left for poor Marcus. Hamelin activates, unclean influence to get rats into possiton, and blows one up for two damage on Marcus and cojo. The rest of the crew focus on killing cojo, which gets weaknesses analyzed from wretch. Malifaux child drops scheme marker and concentrate, Benny eats marker for fast and tries to get away from Marcus. But he is boxed in by his own models so he get to use 3 actions to even get 2” away from him. Derp. Prospector prospects, walks and manages to bonus action out a scheme marker for second part of Dig. Mech rider damages rat king and places a scheme marker for Search the ruins. Winged plague sprints and moves the top Idol. Rats do what rats to, trying to give blight on cojo, who is then finished of by the stolens vomiting disease. Hamelin declear Half-Ass(ass)ination and Marcus Search the ruins. Round 4 – Conceed, theorise We called it a game here, Marcus would probably have been killed even if he had won initative (with 7 passtokens it is likely). And the sheer mass off models would have been able to fend of the Beast within/not let Mech rider place 3 markers, aswell as moving a second idol over the line. Winged plague, Benny and prospector were in range to finish Dig their graves. So we called it 6-1

With the insertion of pass tokens, help me justify the use of three doves for the “ Smoke & Mirrors” Crew?
  9. Does the December Acolyte's Smell Weakness still remove Armor from models under Hoffman's Adaptive Armor aura?
  10. First of all sorry for my english and possible game mistakes, I didn't take notes in the tournament and I can do mistakes here. This will be a different Tournament report, I will tell you my impressions and my game style, that report will be of the valuable actions of every turn, and I will save my oponent crews in case they do not want to teach them, I will not post my crew or his crew, but if you read you cant take notions of it. G1 Darky NB Zoraida G2 Jon Ortiz TT McCabe G3 Rober Resus Yanlo G4 Linar Guild Hoffman G5 Antonio Arcanist Ramos G1 Zoraida's crew with 2 Will o'the Wisp to summon Grupps from the 2Ap of the Mother and Dolls from Zoraida, for me his biggest error was expose Zoraida to Snow charge on T2, with my Gamin I can kills Zoraida really fast. T1 With one push from Angelica Banasuva charge to Nekima T2 He expose Zoraida to do an Obey on Snow and Snow charge her T3 Snow kills Zoraida, Sandeep kills enemy sucker one Will o'the Wisp T4 Nekima kills my sucker and later I kill Nekima with my Vendetta Oxfordian, Sandeep kills the Spawn Mother T5 With only a few models in enemy crew I take the rest of the points One great game and great opponent, his crew seems powerful with the Will o'the Wisp taking 2Ap's actions I was took Vendetta on Nekima, Sucker on one Oxfordian and the central mission was Ply Result: 9 - 5 Win. G2 McCabe's crew with a Emissary, Jorogumo and a lot of minions to give upgrades, the deployment kills my enemy, he put his 50mm miniatures cover the rest of the crew and the escenography doesn't let him pass T1 Banasuva charge to McCabe and Snow discard IE to charge Yin with the Gamin and engaged with Luna and Emissary T2 Snow kills Yin and Luna, my crew takes positions and do some dmg on his crew T3 Sandeep kills Jorogumo, the Oxfordians kills Emissary, a Monk and dismount McCabe T4/T5 McCabe move, reactivate and move to take points, I kill the rest of the enemy crew except Sun Quiang for Take the Prisoner My opponet loss for the table elements, he play good the miniatures but he can't pass and with my placements, pushes and teleports I doesn't have problems with that I was took Hold up, Take the Prisoner and the central mission was Symbols, I kills so fast his crew that I can't take points of Hold up, mistake here Result: 7 - 2 Win. G3 Yanlo with full spirits and Sybelle + 2 Rottens, so much movement tricks in this crew T1 One Oxfordian take Vendetta from Datsue Ba, Banasuva kills 2 Seishins to cut his activation control, a Rotten takes Vendetta from one Oxfordian T2 He expose Yanlo and Snow charges to him, mi crew takes positions and do some dmg T3 Sandeep + one Oxfordian kills Yanlo, Snow charge and engage with 3 miniatures, the rest of the Oxfordians push the wagon and do some dmg T4 I kill his sucker with fire that was Datsue Ba, he doesn't take points and I take 2 points from Vendetta, I kill all his crew except Sybelle, Chiaqui and 1 Rotten that can't let me move his wagon to denny his points T5 Continue the fight to move his wagon nothing inportant happens I can't kill Sybelle or Chiaqui, and can't move the wagon My opponent plays pretty well but his crew have a lot of incorporeal models and my crew have full Ca attacks, that lets me kill him really fast I was took Vendetta, Hold up and the central mission was Symbols Result: 10 - 5 Win. In that point I was happy but knew the last day would be hard, what I didn't know was how fucking lucky that I was going to be... G4 This man plays milimetrical, is a really good player, and his crew, for me, is the best in Malifaux: Hoffman + Ryle T1 He do his chain on Ryle with triple Obey and kills 2 of my Oxfordians, Sandeep push him closer and summon Banasuva and Gamin, Banasuva hit him, and later Snow walk and hit him with the first big luck of the day RJ on dmg, Ryle ends to 1Wd T2 Snow discard IE and triple hit with and... can't do 1 dmg on Ryle he has Df8 because of 'El Mayor', Hoffman Obey Ryle and get him out of the combat, Banasuva charges to Hoffman T3 My Sandeep kills Hoffman with a moderate on , Ryle can't come closer because I can summon a Metal Gamin or teleport an Oxfordian to kill him, we fight for the points, place markers and move carefully T4 Snow kills Ryle and engage with Francisco T5 Angelica push my miniatures to get points and Sandeep kill the Guild Investigator that deny my markers For me the most dificult game in the tournament, we move very carefully but when I start with 2 Oxfodian killed that was terrible, for my luck I have the RJ on dmg from Snow and that was a reliable point, in all moment I try to get my important miniatures like Sandeep or Snow in the range of Medical I was took Eliminate the Leadership and Search the Ruins central mission was Public Executions Result: 10 - 1 Win. G5 I know he is a great player and in fact are the only with me that goes 4 - 0 so that will be hard again, he plays the Vox Ramos list, that push you with Mauler, Cojo and Captain and does 12 - 16 dmg out cards, bad news T1 Like in the G4 we move carefully, he put Strike markers with Ramos and the Child, I push an Oxfordian out of range of the markers, and summon Banasuva and Gamin ready to charge the Mauler, at this point starts the fight, he uses the Captain to push my Banasuva back, but I move one Oxfordian and shot my own Banasuva to push him again in charge range, Banasuva charge to the Mauler with +1dmg and , doing 9dmg + burning on the bear, and with melee expert atack hit the captain with a RJ on dmg, he prevents but gets BJ and die... this is the second point of luck and the biggest, Mauler dies at the end of the turn for burning T2 At this point he lost so many pushes, and the Strike markers doesn't are effective, I have the table control. Snow discard IE and charge to Union Steamfitter to try kill him and stop the scrap generation from Ramos, Snow can't do it and Sandeep finish the job T3/T4 I kill all his miniatures except Ramos, that can't move from his deployment zone, we decide stop play in this point I really have a lot of luck in the fist charge, because my Banasuva can't cheat the fate, the Mauler have a low defense but the Captain ... and he has bad luck on the prevention. Opponent crew and game style was good and hard but sometimes the deck want to speak. I was took Undercover and Guarded Treasure, central mission was Ours Result: 8 - 2 Win. I play a hight movilithy crew, pushes, teleports, placements and more pushes, with two/three heavy hitters and two supports, all the games have the Medical near to my key miniatures like Sandeep, Snow or Oxfordians My priority was engaged or kill his valuable miniatures with Banasuva/Snow and take position with my Oxfordians all the time that I hit I do with thx to the Gamin Try to not waste cards on hurt, select the right moment and waste cards on kill, a miniature do the same job on 1Wd or 10Wd Hope you enjoyed this report and thanks for reading
  11. Hello Arcanists Forum dwellers! I've been away from the hobby for a couple of years and come back to find my only master is "bottom tier" (I say this like such a thing matters or even makes sense, but it still irks me that she might not be the most tournament competitive anymore). I've been scouring the forums for current discussion on her post wave 5 and in GG2018. I was hoping to stimulate some discussion on how people are using MEI nowadays or what they're bringing with her. What works, what's lackluster etc. In a flurry of excitement with limited reading I've gone and picked up Amin Naidu, medical automatons, steamfitters to add to my Ramos box, Rail golem and metal gamin (now very out of vogue post nerf apparently) I'm also hoping to nab an arcane effigy soon. Having trouble finding a place with Mech porky in stock (Australia tax aka international postage) otherwise bid likely have ordered him too. Any early opinions on my choices? I proxies a steamfitter in my first game back for a public execution game and was quite impressed. Next game will be vs outcasts... Ply Surround them Covert breakthrough Set up Take prisoner, take one for the team. Since I'm still learning we've shared lists in advance so I don't mind posting what I'm bringing to get people's opinions on how to approach this. Declared Faction: Arcanists Crew Name: how meiny ply? 50ss Leader: Mei Feng - Cache:(3) Seismic Claws 1ss Arcane Reservoir 2ss Rail Lines 1ss Emberling 3ss Amina Naidu 9ss Imbued Energies 1ss Kang 9ss Union Steamfitter 6ss Medical Automaton 5ss Rail Worker 5ss Willie 6ss I was hoping to stay balled up I. Media gas cloud in the middle, pulling people out of position with Amina and rendering key beaters useless and peonising him slowly while keeping her alive with stones she'll be generating and the mech Auto. Also have Willie as a ranged threat to poke at them if they're unwilling to advance or throw things at their hiding scheme runners. I'll have a couple of good options for the sucker, or could use the emberling to either run or fake surround or covert. How did I go making this? I'm keen to really try and invest in making Amina work. Do I not have enough punch? How do you strike the balance between ply and pow for activation control? I know my opponent is fielding vonschill with Sue, midnight stalker and a librarian, Hannah and strongarm. Ouch! Any Pointers given I'm not backing out of this list now? I think it'll be hard to Protect my back line with this matchup now.... Also if MS goes scheming Willie probably won't be able to kill him 😕 Thanks in advance fellow Arcanists
  12. This one was kind of a big deal for me. I'd painted miniatures before but always guys in full metal armour, 40k necrons, zombies and tree people. Regular people were new, it was also a interesting challenge to try and blend vallejo colours to get a asian skin tone since lots of premade ones were questionably orange or yellow compared to real people from the same region the Ten Thunders come from. Think it turned out okay overall and was quite a learning experience. Definitely love the Rail Golem and it should look great on the tabletop, not too happy with the Emberling as i've never painted anything close to that type of material before. For the most part though its my first finished painting project in like 13 years and i'm super happy to have something ready for the table beyond just priming 😛
  13. I'm relatively new to Malifaux, been playing for about 2 months but the game has inspired me to paint like never before. My first crew is a Leveticus crew with all the bells and whistles, and I'll post that up if I can get a decent shot of all of them. But for the past few weeks, I've been eagerly painting up the Nightmare Edition Dark Carnival box that my friend picked up from Adepticon 2016, plus a few in-theme extras (Angelica, Coryphee), and I'm really excited to share this here as my first ever post on the forums. Some models were more interesting to paint than others, but overall I had a blast working through this crew, and it's quite a brain burner in-game too! Here goes...
  14. Salut! Last time I've created a topic about arcanists and now I wanna to start Ironsides. So I know that I will grab Ironsides crew and Amina Naidu. But what else I should get for the comfortable 50SS game for the newcomer?
  15. Hello! This thread will serve as a place for me to post battle reports so I don't end up flooding the board with them. As the title suggests, the focus of this thread will be on my Outcast games with Parker Barrows, and a little Freikorp, Viktorias or whatever else I feel like playing on the side. This OP will be updated with links to each Battle Report as I complete them. Any suggestions, thoughts, or comments are welcome! 16. Hello Everyone! Like my friend Shadowfane, I have just gotten my first few games of Malifaux under my belt. I've opted for Guild, although I have already paintd some 10Thunders models as a random project. I thought I would share them here in the hopes that it will motivate me to finish what I have started! Please add comments and recommendations, I'm trying to get my head around painitng such beautifully detailed models, sometimes I think I take short-cuts just to get something looking finished! My first Malifaux mini, an Oiran. A bit dark, so I shall try get some better photos! Shang (Misaki is on the way!). I wanted to try my hand at 'realistic' flames. On a model who is nothing but fire I was a bit daunted by it, but I'm quite happy with the way he turned out. The flash is a bit bright (I have some work to do on my picture-taking it seems!), but it kinda helps him shine. And finally, my current project, Lady Justice. I got a bit excited with the tiny leaves, I really wanted to get a sense of movement to the model (the hair alone should do that, right?!) and have had this little box of maple leaves begging to be used, so I thought she was the perfect model to try them on! These seems to be a horrible dark bit on the side of her face which I'm going to look at this evening, I hadn't noticed it until I took the photos As our adventures in Malifaux continue, I hope to be adding much more to this post - so keep checking back! Thanks for looking, V
  17. Hello, I originally started Malifaux with Gremlins and after playing them for a bit decided I do not like how they play. So I am open to suggestions in starting a new faction, I am looking at the following masters in outcasts, arcanists and had a few questions about 10T as a whole faction. For outcasts, I am looking at Parker, Misaki, Viktoria, Schill, Possibly Tara/Leveticus (I hear Leveticus is a bit op so I may have to steer clear.) For arcanists, I am looking at Colette, Ironsides, Marcus, Ramos, Sandeep For 10T faction, Is it a faction that is difficult to play? I read that it is a synergy based faction and I am curious if since gremlins didn't really work for me that 10T might be a miss as well. If folks have some recommendations on what to try/whos their favorite let me know, cause I am stuck lol. Thanks in advance.
  18. Hello! I have a question about tactics, that can I use in play against The Dreamer. I have Marcus, Kaeris and Colette. Which one can I take against The Dreamer? He have next roster: Dreamer, Teddy x2, Daydreams x3, Widow Weaver and Insidious Madness. Upgrades are different between different games. I have a big problems with two Teddies. But when he summon Chompi - I have a terrible troubles... Teddies hold my models. Or just kill them... I'm newer and played not so much games. And maybe I don't understand some subtlety in game. Can you help me?
