  1. I understand it isn't a push, however it includes "directly toward the model" in the text. For me this reads as a walk action with a limitation, much like a lures finish as close as possible limitation. Any other directly towards text refers to middle of base to middle of base.
  2. With the Terror Tot's "Brood" ability it states " When this model is killed, all friendly Nephilim within 6" and LoS of it may take a Walk Action directly toward the model that killed this model" Playing against a friend who was running Litith for the first time. My reading was the walk would need to be in a straight line middle of base to middle of base and blocking terrain would stop it and disengaging strikes would apply. My friend thought that would make it to limiting and felt since it was a walk action he would be able to move around any blocking terrain. I agreed to play it his way (I was winning anyway ) but we wanted clarification for next time.
  3. I personally pin all mine as I find thats the best way to attach them to the bases. I have heard of people using bits of sprue and using plastic glue to make a tab under the feet. As to painting it also depends on the quality you want to achieve and your experience painting. I find the easiest way to get a pretty good finish is base coat and then a wash and build up from there. Nuln oil is my crack cocaine, I use it all the time.
  4. The actual ability is targeting all of the friendly markers in play, so the trigger reads as if it's a continuation of that ability, otherwise I wouldn't have had the question.
  5. With Aionus' Midnight trigger "After resolving, place a friendly or enemy Scheme Marker (your choice) within 2" of this model", is this a Place as in push/place - so take a scheme marker already in play and Place it within 2" or is this a Place as in the interact meaning of the term, so placing a new marker into play?
  6. Lucius looks to be a pretty hard master to use effectively and you are still just getting your feet under you. Stick with one master for the moment until you feel like you know them inside out, then branch out.
  7. I know it is hard not to get disillusioned but it can take a long time to get that ah-ha moment with a Master. I started with Ironsides and while I occasionally won, it wasn't often. Then at about the 30 games mark I really understood what she was doing and what her crew could do around her. Things you should consider. Listen to the schemes & stones podcasts on the basics of the game - Ep 41 Card control - Ep 32 Lady Justice - Ep 40 Sonnia Crid - Ep 12 Lucius - Ep 7 Personally I would stick to just one master until you know them inside out. Understanding the relenting rule is important as is understanding what models have synergy with what other models in your crew.
  8. Just using your hand for survival isn't optimal. Listen to Schemes and stones podcast 32 which is just around deck and hand use (I assume people have told you to listen to their master breakdowns as well).
  9. I don't think that word means what you think it means.
  10. If you can see how confusion could arise sort of implies there is ambiguity.
  11. Loving your browns on the wood and the cloak of the emissary. Would you share your colours?
  12. Yeah sorry, I have an extreme shortage of funds.
  13. Personally I find this sort of question a bit weird. Surely the best green is what you like? Personally I like more muted colours and tend to change the tones of skins that I paint as there is usually variation in pigment of actual skin. If I was painting for myself I would be looking at GW Castellan and Elysian green combo with some red/purple/blue tints. For @Bazlord_Prime he wanted super bright green and as he said bought a pot of flouro green (although his Bayou gremlins are darker than the big guys like Somer). The Fluoro was to weak to use as a base colour so I used an equal proportion of Golden Acrlyics Permanent Green Light, Hansa Yellow Opaque, and P3 white. I gave it an olive green wash, flouro over that, hand highlighted up with white. For the gremlins I added a touch of fluoro to the base colour but just highlighted with yellowfrom that so it wasn't as bright. ANd I need new matt varnish because mine is coming out a bit gloss
  14. You should get another pack of spiders (the 6 pack). I have started using a large arachnid and it is an ok option. Good if there are a lot of scheme marker heavy schemes as they can eat your opponents scheme markers.
  15. Really lovely work, very characterful bases as well.
  16. The thunder archers are pretty solid, especially when combined with the Blot the sky upgrade.
  17. So every time I open this thread the Sensei Yu picture pops up and it's hideous. Here is a better picture.
  18. I see a lot of people saying you can't fit Ramos' totem onto a 30mm base. Here I have simply built out slightly and have three points of contact at the very edge of the tracks, simple really. Just kidding that of course is a 50mm base (that I built out slightly), I am using it as a Large Arachnid. The Steam Arachnid I have the smoke stack on is what I am using as a totem.
  19. How many mages were you using? Make sure you take the new temporary shielding upgrade even if you don't run all three, it still has damage reduction. And certainly run them for a number of games before you judge them, I have had them be killed before they did anything but I have had them totally dominate a game. Once they have gone off a couple of times against a particular opponent they can actually change how your opponent plays and that in itself can be an advantage to you. Also remember if Ironsides has warding runes and bllod ward mage is within 10" (and LoS) they can't exhaust you, or bury you, or swill you, etc. I've had a game where the mages took out the Viktoria master, student of conflict and Vanessa by turn three, I had a game where I pushed my mage with blood ward into bad juju and furiously cast him to death from full health and still had my 0 AP attack in hand. I still need to get a Librarian, an academic who can heal, buffing the mages and keeping them alive, priceless.
