UltraQ
So I just finished assembling Viktoria of Ashes, stood her next to the original metal model, and she looks like the original's giant kid sister. 40mm tall, not including the mohawk. Looks like the ronin are the same height. I only got the Viks box - has anyone with the other new boxes noticed a scale change for them? Have we left "Heroic 32mm" well behind? Guardian
Wait what?! I thought the first edition sculpts were larger than plastics... O.o
Jonas Albrecht
Wait what?! I thought the first edition sculpts were larger than plastics... O.o Some are. The original Malifaux minis (and some of the later releases like the Dead Justice set) are a bit all over the place in terms of scale. zFiend
So probably not that many mixed crews will be seen(?)
Mehter
I'm sure there will be. I plan to mix all sorts of models.
UltraQ
Some people probably won't be bothered, some might be bothered a lot. It bothers me enough that I'm going to have to pick and choose carefully when mixing metal and plastic. Having one crew all metal and one all plastic, it wouldn't bother me at all if the two crews weren't quite the same scale. I was hoping that someone would be able to measure the new Raspy, a Belle, or Lilith to check their height.
Mehter
Belles are about the same height. They are a lot more slender, however. Their parasols are MUCH smaller. In fact, I took a metal parasol (minus the shaft) and put it on the belle who is leaning forward slightly. It looks much better, and doesn't seem out of place, or on a different scale. Judgeman
The multi part minis for the Through the Breach Kickstarter are being shown in the 38mm scale. It sounds like there was a change in scale for the new minis.
i_was_like_you
Just the art for Lilith, 'Dora, etc., look so much taller than they ought to be. Legs that certainly don't quit, and a giraffe neck. If we can get some uniformity in the Ht 1 models, that would be nice. The old Ht 1s were all over the place, starting with Candy and Kade as actual Ht 1, and the Effigies as ginormous.
Victoria
Well the new ice gamin sure are tiny! But the wendigo is not, and it is also height 1.
edonil
The Wendigo itself is about height 1. The rest of it is just instant scenic base, lol.
Victoria
The wendigo is waaaay bigger than those gamin. We took him off the guy, made him jumping from a rock, and sculpted a hand for him. He still towers over the gamin!
Iron Heel
I can dig it. He's a complicated man; no one understands him but his...ummm...dead hooker?
theJudge
My metal Bishop will look funny among the giant plastic Viks

Ironmonger
The multi part minis for the Through the Breach Kickstarter are being shown in the 38mm scale. It sounds like there was a change in scale for the new minis. I forgot to come on here and say it, but Mack said it's just the render, to not trust that 38mm measurement, and that too much shouldn't be read into it. Trust me, I was like "Bwuh?!" as well after seeing that render. OP: I kind of noticed the same thing with the Vik of Ashes, but considering she's wearing pretty substantial heels on her boots, is the master, etc. can overlook it. I'm sure you've put the other Vik next to her, as well as Taelor and the Student, who are prefectly scaled (even looking closer to 28 or 30, IMO). Victoria
Taelor is a giant! Unfold those legs and she is crazy tall! Which suits me. I think of her as a huge woman, anyway.
Tombanjo
Yeah, scale is all over the place...not that I really care because it always has been a bit dodgy, but I was taking photos today and am going to have to come up with a creative base for Vanessa so she doesn't look freakish small next to her new sisters
Ironmonger
Got a pic of Vanessa next to the other Vik?
edonil
Actually, Vanessa probably is the correct scale. People are different sizes, and she's not that far off from bring within range for being a sibling, especially if she's young enough that she isn't fully grown. bobzilla
The heads look completely off scale even considering age gap
