  1. An Adepticon 2013 exclusive Fate Deck and a copy of Evil Baby Orphanage with promo cards have been added to the auctions!
  2. Hello! I have put up a bunch of auctions on ebay for some cool old metals including Puppet Wars Teddy, The Carver, the Easter War Rooster, Miss Pack and the Gremlinette, as well as some blisters of great 1st edition models and a couple of limited plastic models. I am selling many of the 1st edition models with their arsenal deck cards so they can be used right away, I used a bunch of old metals in my games simply because a lot of the old sculpts were as good as or better than the current ones! Auctions can be found here! https://www.ebay.com/sch/gh25/m.html?item=362112167320&hash=item544f912d98%3Ag%3AY04AAOSwdKZZxxqz&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562
  3. The remaining models have been moved to ebay! Thank you everyone!
  4. Nightmare Teddy has now been sold, the other items will be going to ebay at the end of the week if nobody here is interested!
  5. I have decided to try selling these models, and I wanted to give people on these forums the first crack before I put them up on ebay. I am asking the following prices plus whatever the shipping costs end up being, and I am willing to combine shipping. Please message me if interested! Metal Nightmare Teddy, the huge one with alternate arm/head and victim (SOLD!)) Metal Gremlinette $50 Miss Anne Thrope $25 Miss Pack $25 Alt plastic Perdita $25 Gremlin War Rooster, metal Easter special that has the gremlin rider wearing a bunny suit $50 The Carver, metal version that was only sold for Black Friday in 2011 in very limited quantities $75 Metal Collette crew box $15 Metal alt Viktorias $15 Metal Lucius crew box with the female Guild Guard $15
  6. I just don't do Facebook. The metals are tough because they haven't been sold in a few years, and I keep having trouble finding listings for them on ebay. I assume it is due to their rarity?
  7. hello all! I have been debating putting some models up on ebay but first I wanted to see about what the models sold for to see if it was "worth" it. Does anyone know what these models go for? All of them are now and unassembled in original packaging. Metal Nightmare Teddy, the huge one with alternate arm/head and victim (SOLD) Metal Gremlinette Miss Anne Thrope Miss Pack Alt plastic Perdita Gremlin War Rooster, metal Easter special that has the gremlin rider wearing a bunny suit The Carver, metal version that was only sold for Black Friday in 2011 in very limited quantities Metal Collette crew box Metal alt Viktorias Metal Lucius crew box with the female Guild Guard Thank you!
  8. Beautiful renders but I have to agree that they completely do not fit into the setting, even more so than the Crossroads Seven. I will admit, I was really not a fan of Wyrds earlier plastics but they seem to be getting better over time. I do wish that they still credited the sculptors.
  9. Nice model, but no beard so she is not a dwarf. She is a great looking gnome beer maiden though!
  10. Says who? If you play at home you can use whatever you want. If you go and play with your friends at the local store you can use whatever you want. The only time the model might not get to be used (and I do mean might) is if he is playing in a tournament that actually uses the Gaining Grounds rules, and the TO is actually using the proxy rule from Gaining Grounds- if you are running a tournament you don't have to use any of the Gaining Grounds rules, let alone all of them. Even then your opponent might not care and you may end up using the model anyways on the sly. I bet these excellent proxies will see plenty of use!
  11. I think there is a happy medium though. True, there are a few companies out there that basically thrive on cheesecake for the sake of cheesecake. I don't mind that, if that is what you are into that is fine. But I don't think that fits Malifaux, I think it cheapens the setting especially in light of the very powerful female personalities that dominate the game in an era where historically (at least in our time line) women were second class citizens. It is a sad truth, but the truth nonetheless. However Malifaux is also a game of horror and ugly realities that is unflinching in presenting adult themes to illustrate the dark underbelly of the setting. Sometimes those nightmares take the form of vicious female bird spirits that neither care if their nipples are showing nor have any real ability to make or attach pasties, and these creatures are summoned by mentally disturbed individuals who are interested in more important things than putting pasties onto a Shikome's nipples. This isn't cheesecake for the sake of cheesecake, these creatures really should have their nipples showing. It is odd that the game allows for showing Gremlin ass on a model but not nipples on a horrific female monster, and the solution is that clunky looking. That being said, apart from the pasties these models look like they have potential. I would be curious to see them in the flesh.
  12. Why pasties? I don't think it has to do with stupidity regarding Americans tolerating nightmare children, reanimated stitched together corpses, zombie drug pushing nurses, demons and the like but losing their minds over a nipple, even if it belongs to Janet Jackson. I think Seamus is just expanding his stable. He has zombie hookers, why not add in flying strippers too? Although the strippers would get better tips if they lost the stupid pasties.....
  13. Remember too that Gaining Grounds also only applies to tournaments that choose to use it, and that the proxy rules only apply if the con organizer chooses to use that section. There are no proxy police. If you play with friends or cool/understanding tournament organizers you can use whatever proxies you and your opponents agree to. Personally, I would let you use just whatever looks cool as long as I know what it is. Unfortunately you are correct about lack of availability of certain models outside of a crew box, but Wyrd was pretty hell bent on getting rid of metal figures and and seems to be pretty determined to only make certain models that are the only models guys who have metal models really need only available as part of a bigger crew box. We are pretty much stuck with it. Has very little to do with SKU management, accounts tend to care less about number of SKUs than they do about whether those SKUs sell.
  14. Now I am a bit curious about this. I am using a couple of models with Leap these days, and Leap specifically says you ignore intervening models and terrain. I was taking it that you didn't take into account the height of terrain as long as you ended your Leap on the ground (because you ignore intervening terrain). I assume you pounced/scampered/ran along the wall/whatever odd Malifaux logic was at work and you were done. By contrast I also assumed that if you wanted to land on top of a piece of terrain you did have to take into account vertical movement, as the terrain ceases to be intervening and instead becomes the destination- it is no longer between you and the destination of your Leap, it is the destination of your Leap. Does that make sense?
  15. The other thing to remember is that the old metal puppets are also compatible with Malifaux (as long as you put them on the right bases) and can be bought cheap. Most of the old metal puppets were pretty good looking models too. I have a couple of them that I bought, painted up, and added to my Malifaux collection. I actually prefer my painted metal Marcus puppet to my painted original version, and it is just fun to use the killer snowman Ice Golem puppet in place of the other sculpts!
