Thanks for the Data! I'll look into Friekorpsmans and Trappers sometime soon. I have been interested in Von Schill for a change of pace. But Hamelin will remain my go to master.

Please consider adding 2 more encounter slots. Most Tournaments go 3 to 4 rounds. This would make pre loading for a tournament easier. Thanks. Great App.

I most definitely CAN play Gaining Grounds. I play it. I come in 2nd and 3rd occasionally. Now I don't get all the VP, but I have a great time, and I give my opponents fits at times. I'm also not "perceiving a bug in the system". I realize that Malifaux is intentionally different from other games, and have no problem playing versus people who maximize their Masters and Crew to suit the current Deployment, Strategies and Schemes. I find it quite fun and challenging. Now, I will repeat myself... My first comment on the thread was merely meant as an observation that Public Display will be a challenge.

I just don't like Constantly being told to get a new master. I like mine, I win games. I also don't like being told I should be EXCLUDED for not having more masters.

I wouldn't fix it. The two pools aren't meant to be mixed in Tournaments. I'm not sure how well they would mix in casual play. Since the tracking cards are different between the two sets players who mix the two will have to write stuff down to keep the opponent from knowing which schemes they have.

So, New Malifuax Players who come to Malifaux from another miniatures game and have a good grasp of concepts of miniature games and most of the rules of Mailfaux should be excluded from Gaining Grounds because they only have 1 box?

I could not find this when I searched. If a model that is Noted for Vendetta and has not yet attacked is Obeyed to make an attack does that count as it's "First Attack"?

Not arguing against the scheme otherwise I would have to moan about Reckoning vs Pure Hamelin. It was just an observation. It would be interesting to know how many MINIONS cost 6 or more. P.S. Not everyone has the Time/Money/Motivation to collect an entire faction. Arguments that start out with "Just change Masters/Crews" are not helpful to new players who just bought a single crew box.

Public Demonstration - Note 3 minion models with a combined cost of at least 15 SS. At the end of any turn, reveal to score 1 VP for each of these minions within 4" of an enemy Master/Henchman/Enforcer. OUCH. 3 minions from the start of the game with a combined cost of 15+ SS? Gonna be hard for a mostly pure Hamelin Crew. Unless you start out with a Rat King, 2 of those minions HAVE to be Rat Catchers. Wretch, Winged Plague, and Crooligans are all 4 points. So, Max 12 for any combination of three there. Add a 6 point Rat Catcher and the max is 14. So two Rat Catchers and one of the others. It would be nice to be able to "Note" down a model you plan to summon later for this. Then if it never gets summoned you would fail to score.

Also, questions about Proxies and New Models. I have Rat Kings, which are not the new plastic models. They are 3 Metal Malifaux Rats with their tails tied together on the 40mm base. Are these OK? Also, as far as I know, there is no current WYRD model for Winged Plague. Mine are Vampire Bats from another co. Are they OK? Is there an official card for these yet? If not, could you validate my stats. I have the beta stat card from 02/03/15. The only difference between that and the book I believe is the addition of "to a mnimum WK and CG of 2." to the (1) Wounds Fester action.

Why do all the paint prizes go to single models? I would like to see more tournaments give a prize for best fully painted Crew. Limited to crew that actually got used. (Minimum 8 models jk )

As a Hamelin Player with a full set of metals I'm not seeing a lot of the new models that stand out as auto buys. The new sculpt of Hamelin and The Wretch are less than thrilling to me. The new Hamelin is too energetic (and ?the spirit host?), and the new wretch looks to happy (and ?the 'do rag?). I can't tell enough from the renders, but Nix looks a lot like the metal and I would be happy with him IF I was switching to plastic. New Ratcatchers look enough like the old ones to be good in a plastic crew, but also not be an auto buy. I am rather fond of the new Stolen girl and her Rat Snack. But the new boys are also very similar to the old metal. I'm not quite clear, Are there 3 or 4 new plastic Rats? Either way, 1 full set of their sculpts would add variety to my metals. (Also, theyre just too cute.) The Rat Kings are very interesting, 1 of them might be cool as an addition to my metal homebrews, but they're a little out of theme. (Someone above mentioned painting one as a King In Yellow model. I might pick one up for that, it's a brilliant idea, thanks.) I'm a little disapointed that there isn't a card coming to GenCon for "Winged Plague" that was in the Wave 3 Beta Test. [i'm also a bit frightened that the Malifaux Rats will be in several bits, with the tails being seperate and very difficult to handle]

If I had even one other player closer than an hour away, I'd run a campaign. But as it is I spend more of my Malifaux $$$ on Gasoline than on Models.
