Drix
Stupid question, and possibly answered elsewhere. I've been hearing everything from 2 weeks to a month from now. Does anyone have experience from last year's con? Thanks.
dgraz
They get so many orders during GenCon weekend........I wouldn't hold your breath.
nilus
Depends on what you ordered and there level of stock. I would not expect it till at least end of next week at the earliest and historical some orders have took almost a month. Its sucks but they basically take in more orders over Gencon weekend then they do the entire rest of the year(from what I understand) so it gets crazy in the warehouse. dgraz
Yep.....it's the one time of year that you need to go into knowing that you'll get it when you get it. Patience is required for GenCon ordering.
Setoth
Mine took about a month and a half or so last year. That's about what I'm expecting, though I heard rumblings about the books having to be restocked and that affecting send out time? I'd keep an eye out for order status changes starting late next week.
worstgamer
month and a half?! are you serious?
Pierowmaniac
Depends were you live in some respect as well. I think it was a good 3 weeks before the first lot of European orders arrived last year (well out of those who posted here anyway). I think the month and half ones were the worst cases and were mostly down to more localised delivery issues.
Cats Laughing
Last year, my orders shipped from Wyrd on or around August 28. Shipping by fedex took longer than expected, but that's a different issue.
LordZombie
The stuff I ordered last year got to my local game shop before it reached my place. I holding this year stuff to the same standards. The only real reason to order during Gencon is to get the "miss" model and maybe the nightmare. Evaine
Hmm, I had no problem ordering from the Wyrd store last year. As I recall, my Gen Con order got to me in Canada with no issues in about 3 weeks.
edonil
It depends on when during the Gencon sale you ordered as well. If I remember right, they tend to go in order. Also, keep in mind that, based on the order numbers thread that's floating around...somewhere... they had at least a thousand online orders during Gencon. They'll be working on fulfilling those and just about nothing else for a few weeks.
FearLord
The main part of my order arrive September 26th last year... I can't remember exactly, but I'm pretty sure the Misaki box was another month after that... I've just gone for Nightmare Tara this year, as I won't be able to pick it up first locally... TekDekay
I placed 3 orders during Gencon last year. 2 orders on 8/16 which shipped out on 8/27. 1 order on 8/20 which shipped out on 9/5. Everything was received well in advance of my FLGS.
Tye_Informer
So, if I want hope that I will get it soon I just read the ones that say it arrived days after Gen Con ended, if I want despair I read the ones talking about months and FLGS getting it before they did. Bottom line, we'll get it when we get it or maybe a couple minutes after. I just hope they don't run out of Miss Step models before they service my order(s). edonil
Considering the number that they had while at Gencon, plus the theoretical numbers at the warehouse, I don't think you need to fear that one.
Setoth
Also bare in mind that, as previously mentioned, last year there was a Fedex issue. I know at least one week my order was waiting a town away at a Fedex station, since I contemplated a couple of times just driving over to pick it up. So I worded my last post poorly. I don't mean that I expect this year's Gencon orders to take a month and a half to reach us, I meant I was in agreement with what was previously said by other posters (long, long, long...long work day...). I would guess in a week or two orders will be shipped out. From there, it's in Fedex's hands.
Clousseau
also don't forget that one of the boxes was delayed last year which delayed a lot of the orders - a problem that isn't there this year.
NSHoss
Also, they aren't even STARTING to process orders until Thursday. Should be a week to two from there I'm guessing, again, based on when you placed your order.
Drix
Thanks for all the replies folks. It's good to be realistic. That said, I ordered at 1:40am Thursday morning so I'd hope I'm one of he first batches of orders! I'm just chomping at the bit to get my 'faux on. nilus
month and a half?! are you serious? Last year had production issues like the Misaki box set being late to arrive, which delayed many orders far longer then the norm
Setoth
Last year had production issues like the Misaki box set being late to arrive, which delayed many orders far longer then the norm Within my specific time frame that wasn't an issue. I ordered Dark Debts. Most of my problems were Fedex.
Forar
My crew put in two orders last Gencon. One was heavily delayed due to Misaki (late Sept/early Oct, I think) the other was a bit before then, if I'm not mistaken.
worstgamer
So basically by the time I actually get my stuff it will be out for the public at my local gaming store.....at a reduced price cause they normally offer a discount. This is a bit disheartening I could have just waited seriously.
edonil
Misaki was an odd case last year. The situation that caused that isn't present this year. At this point, the only thing that will keep you from getting stuff earlier than your shop is international shipping, and even that isn't a guarantee. And, if you placed an order of $100 or more, you're getting a Miss Step, which you couldn't get at your shop, or if you got Tara you wouldn't be able to get her elsewhere. Rameses
For those curious here is what the Fedex website stated for tracking info for my store order. Thursday 8/22/2013 - 3:52 pm Picked up (in GA) Saturday 8/24/2013 - 6:59 am On FedEx vehicle for delivery (GA to WI) Excited. But not as excited as I am for my Ninja shopper to arrive in town next week. :1_Exhausted_Puppet:
