  1. Within the United States there is no tax levied between States in the Union. There is a different sales tax (percentage) in each state, set by each state, and paid at the time of purchase but commerce between states is not taxed. I am not sure about the custom rates when transporting goods to foreign countries however but I am sure some of our international Malifaux players who have come to conventions here and returned with goods could provide clarification on that point.
  2. Sorry it took me longer than I thought to actually find time to track these down what with one kid in the hospital and the other one getting ready to go to college any day now. Crazy house! Anyway, I do indeed have 2 Miss Terious boxes still in shrink wrap. If you still want them, send me a PM with a fair offer price. Just as an FYI, I also have 2 Miss Step boxes still in shrink wrap as well if anyone is interested in those. Cheers.
  3. Sweet. Is that piece from your own printer or an online service?
  4. I think I may still have two unopened boxes somewhere. I will try to locate them in my way too messy den when I get home this evening.
  5. Very sweet. I too am also interested in any tutorials. Great photography too! Cheers.
  6. All the suggestions above are great and so I am reluctant to feed one more into the fire but what the heck, I will throw one additional video reference out there for consideration. James Wappel is coming out with a bunch of 90 min+ videos (53 I think) that cover, in detail, basic through advanced painting techniques, color theory, and there are also a bunch of basing and terrain videos as well. I think the retail will be out in May/June timeframe but don't quote me on that. He is finishing up the delivery from the Kickstarter project at this time. I believe the videos will also be available in download format from cool mini. If you want to see a decent example of them go to youtube and search "James Wappel & Painting Pyramid" sand quotes and you will see listed some of the Alpha versions of a couple of the videos he created as updates to the KS project.
  7. Backed. Good Luck. Planning on using these for a board at Adepticon this year.
  8. 4 bucks, wow, very cool...wait these aren't the ones that instantly self destruct after 10 games, are they? And, they're definitely NOT made of radioactive contaminated materials either, right? Looking forward to the KS and even more so for any Victorian/Gothic city buildings that might be coming in the future.
  9. I would like to see a player physically and literally discard 0 cards. Seeing is believing and if I don't see that you have discarded card(s) in your discard pile as part of a requirement, then you aren't satisfying the 'discard' portion of the requirement. If you can't meet the requirements, it isn't a legal action. Just my 2 cents. Something for nothing just doesn't smell right.
  10. Argh, tough choices. I was all "I am definitely voting for #3 because Bruce and Jeet Kune Do are just frigging awesome!" Until I ran into the Dragon #84 and got all nostalgic for my Dragon Magazine collection (my subscription started with #63).
  11. Souynds awesome, I can't wait to see those.
  12. Nice work! Thanks for posting this. I like the fact that you doubled up on the HA wall mold to get inside textures as well as on the exterior. Have you considered doing 2 part molds of the individual walls once they are sandwiched together? It might save you some time if you are looking to do a bunch of buildings near the same size. Very cool.
  13. @Costin: Ahem, really? Posting before school too, eh? *sigh*
  14. magnets, magnets, magnets....if that can't be done, then normal heads but it IS great to have the option to be able to choose so +1 for plastics. (although, being honest, the feel and weight of a pewter model still stretches the old heart strings)
  15. Better fun than competitive in my opinion but nice to read they are still both. I think the thing I liked most about 10 T was that most of my opponents also found them fun to play against. You could, and can still it sounds like, play lots of tricksy games with each of the masters and their minions making people really have to think and make hard decisions not only about what they wanted to do but also how they wanted to go about doing it.
  16. Reading these posts makes me wish I hadn't junked all my Beta files. Ah well, I'll just wait for my Gencon order as patiently as possible and keep listening in on this thread. All good stuff so far, thanks all, and please keep it coming. Cheers.
  17. Very nice and clean looking. Cheers.
  18. I can see where more beefy models might be able to take out and control smaller minions around them but in the case of Nico isn't it really a matter of when that larger model activates as compared to when Nico activates to bring them back? I don't play ressers so I might be missing something here but the idea of just bringing back minions to spam drop tokens even after they have been culled by the beefy model near them doesn't really control them if the only thing they are there for is to control model movement and spam drop tokens to meet objectives does it? Sorry to interject this into a discussion but, and this is just a thought mind you, but if you have a personal beef with the OP, please do the people who want to read this thread and possibly contribute a favor and send him a private mail about it and don't post off topic junk in a public discussion. Sorry, but the noise level is getting a little much.
  19. I placed 3 orders during Gencon last year. 2 orders on 8/16 which shipped out on 8/27. 1 order on 8/20 which shipped out on 9/5. Everything was received well in advance of my FLGS.
  20. Nah, Huggy as a Henchman is actually pretty cool, better than just a "Meh..." I think. Wyrd just needed to complete the dynamic, to explicitly show who is really in charge of that duo, to make it epic. It is like a classic Maxwell Smart moment: "missed it by 'that' much!".
  21. Yeah, that was my thinking as well and you're probably right. I will have to check them out when my stuff from the Gencon order arrives. I was thinking about magnetizing two steel pins and pushing one into both the head and body instead of using a traditional magnet as you don't need all that much magnetic force to hold a small object like the head in place. @i_was_like_you: those zombie heads are pretty cool...thanks for the link.
  22. Glad to read you think the Torakage are still good. They were probably my most favorite minion model in the old version of the game. I had been reading some concerning things about them but it sounds like they are still full of their mind-freaking shennanigans which is a huge relief. Misaki was a favorite of mine as well so it is nice to read she is still solid. I can envision that the repositioning would be quite useful. What upgrades have you played Misaki with and have you avoided playing any?
  23. Hmm, anyone think they could magnetize the heads? I would love to see that done well but the pieces are so flipping tiny. Then you could switch from dead-head to flame-head between rounds exclaiming "Flame On!" or some other salutory exclamation to amuse your opponent. If I could do that then I most certainly would as the way I play I need every advantage I can get and nothing says advantage like your opponent losing focus because they are laughing at you.
  24. I wasn't trying suggest that they are or aren't tournament worthy. Rather, I am just seeking the opinions of other 10T players. I played 10T and Guild in 1.5 but I stayed away from my favorite factions during testing because I wanted to wait until the official rules, stats, and upgrades were out. Now that they are I figured the 10 T forum could use a place to express their opinions. So whats your opinion on 10 T now that wave 1 is released?
