Movies with Amazing Intros.

OK.. we have done endings, but what about intros..

The obvious contenders are any James Bond Movies, Indiana Jones, XXX (Rammstein ftw), Sherlock Holmes.

One of my favourites is Dawn of the Dead (the remake) the film is OK by the intro with Johnny Cash's When the Man comes around is amazing.

But I'm sure we all have our favourites.

Zombieland guy on fire, zombie stripper, best way to be introduced to the world collapsing

Wanted the keyboard scene hooked me immediately.

High Tension, the seen BJ scene was beyond disturbing.

The Professional, one by one they fall.

Battle Royal, let's get the story rolling right off.

Any of the Saws starting with a trap was great.

I think this is a little obvious...

Avatar - for the sheer beauty of it all, in 3d it blew me away.

Starship Troopers - right off the bat it jumps right into what the movie is all about

Star Wars The New Hope

The Dark Night - just wow... I really can't but better words to it.

How to Train your Dragon - yes! I like Pixar films =P

Avatar's intro was the best part of the movie IMHO. The 3-D in space looked awesome. Makes me yearn for an Enders game movie.

Hot to Train your Dragon is Dreamworks, not pixar. But yes its awesome.

One movie with a great credit sequence but overall is a terrible movie. Gentleman Broncos. The intro credits are a real cool, especially for a pulp sci-fan but the movie was just bad.

Saving Private Ryan - so good the rest of the film's a bit of a let down after that!

Once Upon a Time in the West - Soooooo much tension!

Watchmen - Not a film I really like, but they really encapsulate the history of the minutemen in the opening

Lord of War - Very well done life of a bullet

Apocalypse Now - Trippy mix of sound and imagery along with The Doors

Spiderman 2 - The Alex Ross art through the titles tells the story of the first film better than the first film did!

Delicatessen - The guy makes cool looking films!

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang - Love the old school style animation

I'm sure I've forgotten a ton of really good ones.

Totally agree with Once Upon a Time in the West

The Fall (by Tarsem Singh): Such an amazing film all round but the intro really caught your attention.

The Prestige: I loved it and the intro sums up what your in for pretty well.

Oldboy: "My.. name.. is..."

A Bittersweet Life: The opening is beautiful and the credits afterwards are pretty funky, love that film.

Moon: Love the soundtrack, Gerty is awesome :D

Labyrinth: David Bowie ftw

And so on...

A Bittersweet Life is superb.

The credits for the original version of the Eye always caught my attention also.
