Maniple
Before I start on my next project I thought I would post some pics of my Malifaux slum. Almost everything you see was built out of cardboard, styrofoam packaging, sticks, glue, and paper. I am pretty happy with how it looks, and best of all it stacks together into a fairly small carboard box when I am done playing!

Doctor Amos
...but how does it play?
Maniple
I rarely play with the entire set on the table. It is important to leave the streets wide enough to get your hands in there and move models around. That is one of the reasons I used the clotheslines. They keep the buildings from being spaced too close together. It also depends on the kinds of warbands we are playing. If both bands are shooty, there will tend to be more streets and low cover. If both bands are fighty, we will put out more buldings and blocking terrain.
LoboStele
That's awesome. I also think the clothesline is what really sets it apart from other city street boards I've seen. Very cool.
Keltheos
Lovely. Where'd the clock come from?
Maniple
The clock is from a Christmas town set I found at my local DIY store. I believe it is made by the Lemax company. Most of their stuff is a little big for Malifaux, but this seemed to fit.
Keltheos
ah, the lemax line. always good terrain grabs in there. a little big but not obviously so.
kxizm
Great job on this. I feel that slums should have a crowded feel to them, so I wonder how this terrain plays when there's not a /lot/ of room to maneuver.
