Omadon
[ame] [/ame] That thing. The deck there! Tell me they're for sale somewhere? They look fantastic! While I'm a fan of the generic fate decks, I'd much prefer something that looked like a proper deck of cards. Like something you'd actually find on the plane of malifaux. WEiRD sKeTCH
Nope. Those were 'proto-decks'. The new decks are the standard decks now.
Nathan Caroland
We might make something up in the future as folks have been asking after them (a bit more than one would think really ..). Have to see what comes though.

Have to see what comes though. I would definitely buy a deck or two if you started selling them.

Wombats
Speaking as someone who only plays Arcanists so far, I own four of the deck colours and intend to complete the set (which can't be used together!) because they are awesome. There is a tangible fetishism around the symbology and style of Malifaux. It is also such a low cost of entry I feel guilty at the amount of money I've given other miniature games companies who don't do as good a job, quite frankly. Dire Hoarcat Snuggler
+1 to that! I want my 2000+ USD back, GW! ~J~
Wombats
Cor blimey, if only it was US $2000
Shepherd
I think I spent US $2000 in the first 3 years of playing 40K. That was 15 years ago now. I am now very sad thinking of the amount that went into that stuff. On a brighter note though, I have now spent about US $250 on Malifaux and have only been doing it since September. So I am on my way.
Neolis
I would pick up that deck if wyrd made it.
karn987
Yeah so would I. I haven't picked up the current decks because, while they are cool... I am a poor college student and I have plenty of card decks laying around. Those would be cool enough to pick up I think ;D
blkdymnd
I would be on the list as well for a couple
Omadon
See, clearly this is a brilliant idea. Next special offer thing? After the hog whisperer alt sculpt? <
AoM
Nathan, make that deck a tournament prize, and make it the plasticized cards. Pricey, but they'd make great prizes. And I'm sure there would be a few of us who wouldn't mind seeing them.
Dv8guy
I would like to second aom's reccommendation thiese would make an amazing prize for official events.
Wombats
Would be interesting to see some big chunky tarot cards, taking this style a step further. Mind you, I'd rather Wyrd spent their time and effort on more awesome minis if this is going to be a drain on their art department.
paperbag4
I don't even care if it's that deck, I just want plasticized cards. The edges on mine are all wearing away from shuffling.
DireTrollJake
I don't even care if it's that deck, I just want plasticized cards. The edges on mine are all wearing away from shuffling. Same here. Mine are now in Dragon Shields.
Wombats
Yeah, grab some card slips from a hobby store. Makes them shuffle a lot easier, too
n0signal
I don't even care if it's that deck, I just want plasticized cards. The edges on mine are all wearing away from shuffling. Aye, same here. It's a shame, cause the artwork on them is fantastic, but they pick up a LOT of wear and tear. I've resigned myself to the fact that at some point, I'm gonna have to replace them if they get too scruffy. heh.
skrulnik
Well you could put them in sleeves. I see a lot of MtG players do that.
Wombats
*taps keyboard* Is this thing on? Cards need protecting? Have no fear! New, revolutionary "Card protectors" are here! I'd actually love a big scruffy tarot card deck that scuffs up nicely. Possibly even slightly foxed corners, maybe even a little badgered. Borthcollective
You must be using some super hi-tech card sleeves because every sleeve I have ever used has made shuffling cards a p-i-t-a.
