  1. Cool as well, but I also want to see the figure. This is already in my puppet deck, so I see this version everytime I play the wonderful game called malifaux
  2. good idea. A little smaller and square and easier to deal with than the CD's I was thinking of using for my unique terrain pieces.
  3. Those look awesome. Nice Work. Love the soulstone vein, what kind of base is it made on? I like the lighter colors on the Death Marshalls too.
  4. Spots are done and the final blue skin highlight was put on tonight. Time to start working in the details on LCB to tie it altogether and then work on Boo.
  5. thats really good Fivepipe. I would definitley not worry about botching up other models when that looks that good. Keep up the good work.
  6. That's a perfect door! And in response to LCB's darkness. It is lighting. He is a bit brighter
  7. I've been seriously considering it. Anyone know of any 28-30mm door bitz?
  8. I had thought about greenstuffing some hair onto Lord Chompy, but figured it would take too long and not sure my feeble greenstuffing skills were up to the task. The build on the skintones so far is Vallejo Scurf Green, PP's Meredius Blue, and PP's Arcane Blue. I may do one final highlight to lighten up the skin a bit more, not sure yet. I'll decide once I get the purple spots on.
  9. that is true, and yes I am thinking the pigtails route and giving Dreamer an overall sex change
  10. So, when I first saw Dreamer and Lord Chompy Bits, it kept ringing familiar with me. Then, when I was watching my 5 year old one day, I figured out why. Because the model completely reminds me of Sully and Boo! So, I will be doing my Lord Chompy Bits as Sully and Boo. I've started the skintones tonight and will be getting the purple spots laid out soon. It was a no brainer to me since the relationship between Sully & Boo and Lord Chompy Bits & Dreamer were pretty similar. Sully would pop out of Boo's closet as a monster in her dreams, and Lord Chompy Bits pops out of Dreamers head as he dreams. And the way both Dreamer and Boo are carried around is incredibly similar. So, here we go. Here is the WIP so far: I'll keep this updated as I go....
  11. With the multitude of new schemes and strategies. How about you Wyrd boys produce us a deck that we can keep track of em all?
  12. I'm a december cult kinda guy, so I don't need any fine details, but would like to know if Rasputina got any good new icy stuff to play with in the book. Easy yes or no will suffice for my curiosity as I know you'll be inundated over the weekend with questions. Good reporting so far...
  13. Should show you how the game went tonight. The one on the right is the Gremlin shot at my Ice Gamin on the left.... Can some statistical genius give us the odds for that?
  14. Seeing how Wyrd were modelers before gaming creators, I would say that they would be 100% for your idea. I think it's great myself and as long as you tell me what models are what before we start, then by all means, convert away. Thats my 2 cents. Now of course, with your idea comes the demand for pictures once you get your "Pandora" done.
  15. Both the convict gunslinger and I believe perdita ortega have a rule that allows them to use the pistol profile in a 2" melee range. What more you want?
  16. So you got the shallow end of the pool? :poutcha:
  17. I use the homemade strategy and scheme cards someone posted on these forums a while back, but I think it would be a cool idea for wyrd to print them all and package them with the faction card decks. That way everyone has a copy as they are very useful in card form. I know they are mulling over printing the gencon demo decks, maybe they could be added to that as well? Just a thought
  18. I like the ideas I've heard (can't remember where from) of a set list to tourney with and then a sideboard. So if you have a 35ss tourney, you could show up with a set 35ss list and then a sideboard of 1 master and maybe 15ss worth of swappable models. It would seem to me, without having played that format yet, that an open tournament where you just bring all your models and pick a faction would lean heavily towards those players that have been able to keep up with all their models releases and penalizes those that just build off of maybe one starter box.
  19. wow, my boy Nicodem is getting no love... sigh
  20. It would be a terrific game if it didn't have feats. And didn't have Matt, who everytime he opens his mouth on his forum makes me glad I quit WM/H. Feats always turned me off to the game after about 6 months of playing it in 2005. The games around here evolved into who can get their caster to the middle first to set up whatever devastating combo with their feat before their opponent. And it just got unfun and is the main reason that I get my WM fix from Malifaux now. My selling point to this game when I'm trying to get guys at the LGS to play, is that Malifaux is like Warmachine, but without all the stuff that makes Warmachine silly.
  21. And I know thats the way it was intended, but it's sad that so many think that they need to reflect that in their gaming and do take it too seriously.
  22. And don't get me wrong. I'm not trying to do a disservice to Eric's philosophy, who I think is a very standup fellow and a much better representative to his game than Matt W is for his game. It just struck me as funny, and the design notes have a "tone". I'm not saying it's as blatantly over the top as PP's Page 5, but when I read it, I had 3 of our group read it (without telling them what I thought) and asked them what was the first thing that came to mind. Each one did the same thing, read it, looked down at the page number, chuckled and thought it was great. We know Eric didn't intend it that way, but we see it as kind of a slap in the face to those that live their gaming life by Page 5.
  23. Never seen it talked about, but the malifaux rulebook has a 'page 5' it seems. Those that have ever played warmachine know what I mean. The demeanor and everything is pretty much spot on. So, just wondering if it was an intentional bit of tongue in cheek or not?
