Brushmistress
Here's my latest (just to make my IP opponent sweat!). Just kidding. In all seriousness, I'd had this one in my head for a bit and it was nice to finially paint her. I wanted her to have a soft feel, so I went with muted pinks and teals. Approximately 20 hrs were put into her. Comments & Critiques welcome as always! Edt: The shield painting is freehand (my husband declared me insane). thetang22
That looks absolutely fantastic in every way! The base is very appropriate too.

Moavoamoatu
20 hours.....that's 15 hours too much : More seriously she is lovely and the freehand is amazing. I just cross my fingers not to be your opponent in IP this year. BTW good luck Jess.
Peterdita
Wow, what a cutie! Great Job! Think you could get her number for me? I'm such a sucker for blonde braids. That shield makes me sweat and I'm not even your opponent... Fabulous!
Scorpio
Edt: The shield painting is freehand (my husband declared me insane). He's right. The shield alone would be impressive. Heck, the base alone is pretty remarkable. The total package, just, wow.
dargrin
It's a shame that all that free hand will be marred by axe chops and mace dents.
Thryth
Wow! That's really amazing. 20 hours! That's how long my average miniatures take. Really nice work.
redstripe
This is a really impressive piece. Well done!
Nathan Caroland
Nice. I was thinking she would either break down and start bawling OR go into a berserker rage the first time someone mars that shield.
Hinton
Very nice. The muted colors really work on this one.
v22TTC
"Grrr - I will fight you ... hang on, that's a really nice shield: where did you get it done?" [Potential belligerents go to tavern and get pissed, married, and live happily ever after....] Cool martial technique! Beautiful work, as always from yourself. Skya
Oh, very nice. I love the color scheme and how you tie it whole heartedly into the base. I gotta admit it's been pretty impressive seeing your work progress over the last couple of years.
Brushmistress
Thank you all for the warm comments! I almost forgot: http://www.coolminiornot.com/211643 I don't hang around CMON as much as I used to...Wyrd is my home now! As for the shield, she'd probably thank for for liking her very pricey protective custom instrument and then lop your head off for considering damaging it. @ Skya - Thank you. I've come further in the past 2 years than I did in the previous 5. I can only thank Jeremie and his wonderful seminar @ Games Day for that. Wren
Wow that's lovely! I really like the painting on the cloth in particular. (Though all the parts everyone else mentioned are super too. ;->)
