  1. I must admit I haven't tried any of the new plastic minis. There are a few VERY tempting pieces. The Gremlins appeal to my sense of the absurd. The Lucky Effigy in particular is one I'd like top try. I have been known to yield to temptation.
  2. BEAUTIFUL WORK! You just keep getting better with each new piece.
  3. The Guys, Gals, & Whatevers turned out as SPLENDIDLY here as over on the Reaper Forum...promoting Wyrdness elsewhere is a noble calling. Your brushwork, basing, & color choices are OUTSTANDING! VERY WELL DONE indeed!
  4. WONDERFUL WORK! I went hunting for some inspiration today. AND, wandering through your thread I found a treasure trove of it.
  5. VERY COOL! I think our Avatars would get along famously.
  6. The somewhat worse for wear Little Pooch really painted up SPLENDIDLY...he seems to have a bit of an attitude problem. GREAT WORK!
  7. I've been using Plumber's Epoxy, which is similar to Milliput, for my bases. It holds texturing very well, can be sanded & drilled, & dries in 15 minutes or less. It also costs about 1/3 the price of G.S.. I use G.S. for any fine details...such as they are.
  8. Your brushwork & basing are TERRIFIC...VERY WELL DONE! AND the new Creepy Portraits are inspired pieces...VERY IMAGINATIVE/CREATIVE!
  9. The Shack is a BEAUTIFULLY detailed creation. I've become so used to making & seeing ruined buildings that an intact one is quite a novelty. VERY WELL DONE! The gas lights look terrific to moi...very clever idea. The jewelry sections of various craft stores are among the sections I haunt also. It's amazing the useful stuff you can find if you view things with an open mind...or a touch of senility with moi.
  10. Thanks MUCHO for the assistance, Guys...sorry if I took the thread off topic.
  11. GREAT & INSPIRING stuff, Demonn. Thanks for the motivation. Would you happen to have a link to them? I'm always searching for gears & such....thanks in advance.
  12. VERY COOL STUFF! I spotted your FINE creations over on C.M.o.N. earlier today & voted. Your brushwork, color choices, & basing are OUTSTANDING...VERY WELL DONE!
  13. While I refuse to do the "LOL" thingy, you actually did get a laugh out of that one. Even doing things slow, which at my age is almost a necessity, I find that at some stage in the painting there comes a "bugger this for a lark" attitude & the "leave well enough alone" factor kicks in.
  14. You're absolutely right about the comments. Comments, critiques, & encouragement are the hallmark of good fellowship; they are also like gifts in that they can be expected, but can not be demanded. That aside the minis turned out TERRIFIC; the color choices, brushwork, & basing are OUTSTANDING. VERY WELL DONE! I've got to admit I'm generally put off by speed painting. Partially this has to do with the high prices of minis, & partly because I always wonder how much better the pieces would look if they weren't rushed....of course, that's just moi & possibly another sign of imminent senility.
