  1. It's been a LONG time since I've visited here! I've been trying to clear out a lot of the stuff in my hobby collection, and had some metal Wyrd stuff from back in the day. Mainly I'm just interested in $$, but I might consider a trade for Rackham Confrontation content. I'll link pics for all the stuff. Seamus Crew (metal) Diorama - this won "Best of Wyrd" in the Rotten Harvest painting competition roughly a decade ago (somewhere around 2008-2009'ish). The models are magnetized to the diorama. Sonnia Crew (metal) Diorama - this was painting as a family painting activity about a decade ago too. I'm not going to lie, it's not nicely painted...but the paint job isn't the selling point on this one, anyway. - Accessories - Several Malifaux 1.0 card sets: Sonnia Crew cards, Lillith Crew cards , Seamus Crew cards, Leveticus and Viktoria 30mm Victorian Base Inserts Victorian Base Accessories (missing cat) Flame base accessories (missing several pieces) Custom Steampunk Base - (this was intended for Leveticus, but never got around to it) Malifaux Tape Measurer - this was from GenCon 2009, if I remember correctly If any of this is of interest to you, please let me know. Thanks
  2. updated again....got new trade items and new wants
  3. Sorry for the thread'omancy. I don't visit nearly as often as a I used to. Well, I've been using these cheap'o paints for years now, because I found my results weren't any better/worse than when I was using the expensive GW paints. My attitude is - if I'm doing just as well with the cheap stuff, why would I buy something more expensive??? As for having "luck" with these cheap paints, I'd say I've been doing pretty well with them. I got "Best of Wyrd" in the 2009 Rotten Harvest painting competition with the following, and I used strictly the Apple Barrel paints: Sure, it's not perfect, but based on my experiences and technique...it wouldn't have looked any better had a I been using a more expensive brand of paint such as GW.
  4. I updated my list with a much more specific list of what I am now looking for. Thanks for looking
  5. Still rockin' the Apple Barrel's from Walmart

  7. Please delete this thread. The title was no longer accurate of the trade I was seeking, and I couldn't successfully change it, so I had to make a new thread.
  8. Got it...I haven't been around much since the website redesign, and I couldn't find it right off the bat. I'll repost in there. Thanks http://www.wyrd-games.net/showthread.php?29378-H-Malifaux-W-Infinity&p=373952#post373952
  9. Been a while since I've frequented these forums, but I think 'trade/sale' posts were acceptable. I have various Malifaux items I will never get around to painting/using, so I'm wanting to trade/sell them: non-boxset Viktoria crew 1 Viktoria, Sword Mistress (unpainted, sword arms pinned, but not yet glued completely) 1 Viktoria, Bounty Hunter (NIB) 3 Ronin (NIB) 1 Hans (NIB) 1 Taelor (NIB) 1 Convict Gunslinger (NIB) Victorian bases 1 pack of 5 Victorian 30mm bases (opened to clean flash, but still in box) 1 pack of Victorian base accessories (opened, but still in box - cat missing) Levi crew pieces Leveticus (Out of box, missing card, pinned on custom base) Rusty Alyce (Out of box, missing card) Bete Noir (Out of box, missing card) ***I would prefer to trade/sell the different sections as lots (especially Viktoria's crew), but I'll consider alternatives if it's worth the effort. ----- I'm looking for either Infinity minis or $$. Infinity: I don't actually play, I'm just interested in the minis in general, so I'm not really looking for anything in particular. I will say that of the factions, I'm not really interested in Ariadna, but a decent amount of everything else looks pretty cool, and I'd consider a lot of options. I'm also not particular on whether or not they are opened/used already, so long as everything is in good condition Otherwise, I'd be willing to part with the sets for $$. I'm not willing to sell individual models, only groups as shown below. Viktoria crew - $39. All these pieces are $63 if bought new, and everything is NIB except Viktoria, Sword Mistress (which has received a good pinning job, if I do say so). Victorian bases/accessories - $12. All these pieces are $22 if bought new, and only the cat is missing. Levi models - $15. These are $27.25 if bought new. Thanks for looking.
  10. Finished as much of the Enchanted Forest modular board as I can before the Thanksgiving break:
  11. I guess I should have addressed that concern - I will be doing the bases for ALL the miniatures at the same time. I was waiting to get my box set before I did anything with those...so basically, they will get bases as soon as I've got all the new models assembled and ready for that step.
  12. I haven't posted on here in quite some time, but I figured I'd give an update on what I've been up to. I've been working a bunch on my Super Dungeon Explore metal miniatures on and off for months. I have my entire set of Kobolds painted, and just today I finished my last of the original 5 heroes: (these are the standard metals, not the promos, which were 20% larger) I've also been spending some time on my modular boards. I've got a typical dungeon-themed one, using Hirst Arts, and I've also been working on an Enchanted Forest board. The forest board has got some good progress on it, but there is still quite a bit to do. I have the trees done, but haven't photographed them yet. I also plan to make some rock steps to each of the different levels, as well as a pond. I'll probably do more than that, but I plan to do at least those things this weekend. I JUST got my box set today for Super Dungeon Explore, so I'm pretty excited for everything!
  13. As a fan of Viktoria, I was disappointed to find out she wasn't represented in the stories for Book 2, especially after being one of the primary story arcs in Book 1. Does she have any significant presence in Book 3? I assume her Avatar might be the representation on the cover of the book maybe?
  14. Absolutely it does. You are offering it based on the idea that it is rare...hence the "make me an offer". If people don't know how it was/is obtained, they have no idea what the potential worth of it is based on rarity...which is the selling point you are trying to play to. A potential buyer/trader would want to make an informed decision based on the rarity, so that they have some sort of reference point when making an offer....Otherwise they might screw themselves over.
  15. To all the people saying "just give it a chance until we see better pics" - there is enough resolution there to tell this is a bad model. The pic could be completely clear, and have one of the most beautifully sculpted faces on the planet, but that doesn't change the fact that the pose is utterly ridiculous, and makes very little sense. You can also see general details...and they are flat-out boring. There is nothing about this model that is interesting beyond the fact that it was considered 'acceptable' to preview by the Dev's at Wyrd. I understand the fluff went a certain direction in Book 2, but there is almost nothing about this model at all that relates back to the original Candy. There should be certain visual features that link between the 2, just for reference's sake. As mentioned before, its just plain boring and uninspired, which is a shame for a character who's fluff became much more relevant in Book 2. Hopefully we won't see any more pics of it today, because hopefully Nathan and Eric noticed the feedback and removed it from the display case at Gencon...taking it back to the drawing board.
  16. I know that Wyrd's quality can vary quite a bit in the range....but that doesn't even look like a Wyrd model....that looks like a model from a VERY amateur company trying to make it into the hobby. Pixelation aside...it just looks uninspired, has no dynamic quality, and is just plain boring.
  17. From the blog at Lost Hemisphere.
  18. Where in Nebraska? I'm from Grand Island. I assume probably Omaha or Lincoln area?
  19. Yeah, I get that it was all metaphorical. I still thought the overall presentation was...sorry to say....stupid. I'm not a big fan of anime though, so I would have a harder time enjoying this movie. I just don't really get off by seeing a bunch of teenage girls running around in skimpy clothing and fighting like they've had 30-40 years of combat experience. And again, like I said...I just thought the plot was pretty dumb. Kinda crazy, considering Viktoria, Sword Mistress was the mini that made me check out Wyrd in the first place. (in my defense, Viktoria has more substance). I understood the concept of the movie...it just wasn't enjoyable for me.
  20. I suppose I'm going to be the odd-man out here. I watched it a few weeks ago and it didn't do it for me. My wife and I actually both agreed that the movie pretty much sucked. Then again...I don't like Anime, and it really felt like it was just a Live-Action anime film. The problem is the plot really just sucked in my opinion. Maybe its just because the genre doesn't tick with me, but the movie felt like a very thin and flaky story wrapped in a bunch of anime visuals....which is not enough to keep me interested. Its sort of like a video game with fantastic graphics, but no depth to the gameplay or story. The visuals are enough to make you want to try it, but unless there is any substance, you won't want to stick with it. That is how I felt watching Sucker Punch.
  21. Nice job on those! You are much further along than I am, that's for sure. I'm going to have my wife help paint all the kobolds.
  22. I plan to add more than just paint. I want it to have a little more atmosphere than simply painted rooms and hallways, so that's definitely the plan. I also got a few cave molds for Christmas and want to incorporate them into the mix. I also haven't settled on any color schemes yet, but I know I want more than a simple color flood over the whole dungeon. I want to separate the floor from the walls visually, and possibly give more color definition than that. If I had an airbrush, I'd put torches on the wall with glows and such, but I don't currently have access to one.
