Nathan Caroland
I've got a crap load of miniatures that I don't think that I'll ever get painted up and I'm starting to think that I should maybe thin the ranks a little bit, clear out some of the lead that I haven't an interest in, or simply liquify and turn into some cash in order to fund a couple of ventures of mine. What do ya'll think is the best way to go about doing this? Ebay, offer up for individual sellers, just throw it out and see if anyone wants them? Some of the things I'm thinking of selling are my WotC Black Dragons, Elmore Giants, bunch of Reaper and I-Kore stuff .. etc. Thoughts? tidoco2222
I could be interested in the Elmore Giants though a piccie or two would be nice.
gi6ers
If you let us know what you've got and what you want . I'm sure we could sort something out...
Nathan Caroland
Pictures by Tuesday, and a list of stuff. Running out the door for overtime at work now (bleah). 12 hour shifts.
LeadAsbestos
The friendly, community way is to just offer it up to this gang and others you might know. The hard $$ way is eBay, because some folks will drop stupid money on things you are offering up. If the money really isn't the drive, just do friendly, but you'll kick yourself later seeing what you could have gotten. I've gotten into a bit of a mess myself, and will be selling a great deal of my goodies to catch up. Hope I make it... :argh:
supervike
Just pick somebody and give them stuff. :thumb:
marineboy
Super, you're a genius! FF, I'm up for a dragon or two...
vincegamer
Sponsor your own comp? Add them to the prize pile for the Harvest or other upcoming events?
Nathan Caroland
(laughing) Erm, no - not giving them all away. Besides, this IS my own competition, they didn't come looking for me, it was the other way around. Got a few things going on around here these days that are sucking up cash pretty heavily - nothing that's going to kill me at the moment, but if I can offset that, I certainly will. Jabberwocky
I might be interested in some of the Reaper stuff (or now that I think about it, most anything "man-sized"--no dragons please. I still have the huge dragon from the CMoN mini exchange #4 that taunts me on a nightly basis...) FF. Let me know. I'll shoot you my e-mail address. Drake Farstrider
Post a list, that Black Dragon might be nice to have. I could not afford anything though untill December.
Nathan Caroland
This week has been HELL. Doing the family thing tonight and then likely breaking out the camera to get stuff cataloged and up.
Celtic Lilly
Pictures, pictures! Though I probably can't buy any right now considering I just blew my budget on a mini-vacation!
Spacemunkie
Ebay it all. Especially the big stuff and the rare stuff. And the GW stuff. Morons'll pay stupid money for stuff...
DeafNala
DON'T DO IT! The only amount of minis to have is Not Enough. Once you've painted up that last mini that's it, games over, end of the road, Big Casino. As long as you have minis in backlog you'll be fine. I keep enough yet to do to last me long enough to bankrupt Social Security. My buddy Skip took a good number of years to finish up a rather large 18th Century collection. Shortly after he'd finished his last mini, he bought the farm. Paint & be well.

Hinton
I was just going to mention just how old this thread is. Think FF has any of his old minis still lying around?
r2-j1
Oh I'm so saving that image for my own use. That is awsome.
Nathan Caroland
Heh, I've got a tone of that I-Kore stuff if you want it Jim. As for miniatures, to be honest it has to be a pretty special one for me to want one these days. Just no time and no space. Nice image BTW. Morf
Heh, I've got a tone of that I-Kore stuff if you want it Jim. As for miniatures, to be honest it has to be a pretty special one for me to want one these days. Just no time and no space. Nice image BTW. You know, I am jealous that you have achieved that higher state of mind. I am still buying things that I know I will never use. Or never glue. Or never take out of the blister. I need to sell my stuff. I got several thousands of WHFB stuff that is not getting updated since the VC Army Book (the previous one). But then... I am to lazy to go through the attic, take pictures and ebay.
waghorn41
Oh my, I've got hundreds of minis to paint inherited from my kids and I keep buying stuff I like. And after FF III I've just got to get some Wyrd. My credit card has just run off to hide in a corner...
ballistic_bro
Hello FF, I'm a noobie to this forum, but came across this thread. Do you still have any of the i-Kore stuff left? If so, do you have any Void stuff and would you fancy shipping to the UK? Cheers......... :heeeellll
Nathan Caroland
Welcome to Wyrd! Got a good handful of Celtos but no Void I'm sorry to say. Shipping is never a problem though. Best, Nathan
ballistic_bro
Thanks Nathan, thanks for the quick reply, I've recently stumbled over the Void figures, been out of the miniature/gaming fold for a while, and liked the look - then found that the company had gone out of business a few years ago. I understand scotiagrendel are producing the figures still but it doesn't hurt to search out a bargain! Cheers, Dean
