Glad to see I am not the only one with a painting sabatical!

Thanks! I have been slowly going through my paints and I am a little disheartend that more than a few have dried up and that some of my best brushes went and got themselves all modly. Sigh... Crazy huh...will have to hunt through my crap to see what I got crazy. I am worried about having to relearn all my techniques.

Hey all. It's been a very long time since I have been on this site. 4 years I think. It has been at least that long since I painted. I have recently gotten the urge to paint again and re-unite with some old friends in the painting community. Does anyone got any good suggestions on how to start out painting again. I am admittedly nervous. Cheers!

I really would need to see amore finished product, before I can really comment on it. I have liked his Grymm stuff in the past though. :AR15firin :smiliebla

Well its a good thing (for me) that I have no money or else I would be picking up some of those.

For me, my painting would be better if I had the time/energy to pick up the brush and actually paint. Going to school full time, working 30+ hours a week and spending time with my wife takes up all my time.

Its weird I have been away from CMON for a while and I decided yesterday to see what was going on, when I could not get onto the site, I was not all that sad.

I have DSL now, and I love it. I have not had any problems with it either. And I find that at times it is too fast for my slow ass. :tongue2:

I haven't read much of anything of late. I think I have gotten burned out on Fantasy. I picked up a HP Lovercraft novel about a mouth ago, started reading the Dream-quest of Unkown Kadath, but have not gotten very far. My biggest problem is that I am a slooooooooow reader. My reading tastes mainly lie in the fantasy genre, but i am willing to branch out a little. Any suggestions?

I currently run a D20 D&D Forgotten Realms campaign and I will be playing in a D20 Star Wars game, starting this wekend. I also like the look of Hordes, but I have not picked up the rules yet, but I do have the makings of an Everblight army. As too why I play the games I do, its because, I am a fan for both the Forgotten Realms and of the Star Wars universe, plus my game group are also long time D&D and Star Wars fans. I think both games are simple to learn and are very enjoyable to play. I have also in the past played d20 Judge Dread (I am the law!) which was a blast and a home brewed 40k roleplaying came, which was based off of WFB. I have played the Star Wars CCG, from Decipher, what a fun game that was. Magic the Gathering, impossible to keep up with all the new cards although it was fun for a while. I have also played the Raw Deal ccg, which was fun to play when I was a fan of the WWE. Now I just can't get into it.

I think this really has promise. A good paint job should really make it pop.
